This fandom is so toxic. I love some of the people in it and a few of the ask blogs are so fun to keep up with, but there’s some serious drama and it makes me so uncomfortable. Bashing ask blogs who are likely teens, spitting out racial slurs and getting mad when the target says they’re uncomfortable, the rage bait, it’s exhausting. At first I liked the drama of this blog because it wasn’t bad drama, just hot takes and random confessions. I love listening to what others have to say, but this has gone way too far. I might just have to block this blog because of how much hate spews from it. The mod is fine, of course. I’m talking about the anons themselves.

The ask blogs are mostly minors, so just let them have fun. If you don’t want to interact, there’s the block button. Teens are allowed to express themselves.

I don’t tolerate hate in any group. It hurts and no one should say racial slurs, especially if someone is extremely uncomfortable. It’s a violation of others. I’m white so I’ll never understand reclaiming slurs since I’m not in that minority, but I try to have an open mind. Don’t say slurs to someone if they express they don’t want that.

Just be nice guys. Fandom is supposed to be about community, not hatred. There will always be uncomfortable things in fandom because that’s human nature, but when an entire fandom is toxic, then something has gone wrong. Don’t harass others. It’s not kind.
