As you can see, I have finally answered all three of the questions that were in my inbox. This means that yes, this blog is closed for good. Again, I want to thank all of my followers - 748 as of this post - as well as those who have liked and reblogged my posts. I also want to thank everyone who sent questions in to Apollo; they were fun to answer and the two posts I’d had to do some sprite-editing gave me a crash course in just that, lol. I know none of them are around but I really want to thank all the other AA ask blogs for interacting with my Apollo, for sending in some of their own questions and for the mods who spoke with me in the chat we’d had way back around 2011-2012. I want to give a special thanks to Konrad, who ran askklaviergavin, for it was he who got me into Klapollo and helped me really grow as not only an ask blogger, but also a roleplayer and a person. I also apologise to him for some of the things I’d said back then; I cannot change what was said, but I truly am sorry for what I said and how I acted. If you ever see this, Konrad, I just want to say thank you for everything

I was asked over at my new main account if I’d be handing over the figurative reigns of this account to someone else. My answer to that, as I told the person, is no. I’d been the only one running this blog for nearly six years and I do not wish to let anyone else take over. Besides, the novelty of ask blogs have died out several years ago; receiving asks is what kept the blog running and without them, it’s time to let this blog go as well. It will not be deactivated, so everyone can continue to look at the posts and like/reblog them at their leisure

Anywho, as before, if anyone wants to stay in touch, my new main is @akechiscans, where I’m posting all the manga I’ve been cleaning and/or typesetting (primarily Ace Attorney). I still have my AA-exclusive sideblog, @officialbarokvanzieks, and I’ll be doing a little roleplaying at a sideblog, @detectivepasha, where I’ll mostly be roleplaying as a detective fan character I’d made roughly 3 years ago

What's your opinion on retributive justice? And also, what if the prison's incarceration rate is maxed out?

Retributive justice is a system of criminal justice based on the punishment of offenders rather than on rehabilitation. On the other hand, rehabilitative justice is where the offender is rehabilitated as opposed to being punished.

Honestly, I think it depends on the crime committed, and how the offender honestly feels about having committed the crime. For example, the person could have committed a murder on accident, or they truly feel guilty about committing the homicide, in which case, rehabilitation would work for their benefit. If the offender didn’t feel any remorse for committing the murder, they should be properly punished for it. I can see the benefits of both retributive and rehabilitative justice, and think either one should be used, depending on the person being charged with the crime.

As for your other question, there’s not much I can do, considering I’m an attorney and that matter is handled by the police department. As for the cases I take on, in the instance the incarceration rate is at its maximum, all I can do is continue to defend my clients.

I’m officially retiring askapollojustice

Yeah, for serious this time. I know I’d announced closing it a couple times in the past and came back, but this time it’s shutting down for good. For the past 2-3 years I’d barely gotten any questions, and whenever I did, it usually took me months to answer. Literally every single AA-related ask blog that was around when I’d started this blog in August 2011 has gone, whether it was by abandoning their blog or deleting it, but every single one has left. Askaceattorney was around before J started his askmilesedgeworth (and I made my askwockykitaki shortly thereafter), and whilst that one’s still around, it’s not on its first moderator. I’m the same “Pollymod” who created this blog six years ago. The novelty of sprite-based ask blogs has long passed, and even the concept of art-based ask blogs have fallen by the wayside. I never intended this to be an art ask blog, and it’s not a roleplaying blog

The only thing keeping this blog alive was the questions Apollo would get, and since those have basically gone, that spells the end of Ask Apollo Justice. I have three questions in the inbox - one that requires sprite-editing and one that requires researching; the third won’t be difficult to answer at all - and I’ll be shutting everything down for good

Miss Sophia grabbed an old metal frying pan that had been lying nearby, but you, Mr Anderson, punched the officer before she could do anything. Miss Sophia dropped the pan and you two fled. The following day, you were apprehended by the police for stealing food. During the registration process, they learnt Miss Sophia’s fingerprints matched those on the frying pan, which had been used as a murder weapon to kill the same officer who’d attempted to detain you both the previous night. This led from not only a charge of theft and unlawful entry into the country, but now also a homicide charge. Correct?

Was the officer an Interpol agent, or an officer who was on board the ship? What was the blunt object, and what did Miss Sophia do with it after you punched the officer? I’m assuming the object was the murder weapon?

I don’t know the exact time, it must have been late.  Sometime around 11. As for where I drew a map of the place in my spare time. I don’t know what exactly the officer was, but the blunt object was an old metal frying pan someone left. She dropped it after I decked the guy. And yes, it was.

Well, no, we don’t fight with the cleaning supplies; that’s quite hazardous and could break something in the office that either Mr Wright or Trucy would be very unhappy to have broken.

However, if Athena were to challenge me, I certainly wouldn’t back down. I can hold my own, cleaning supply weapons or not.

Well, yes, I like Klavier. A lot of people like him, and why shouldn’t they? He’s a very likeable person, once you get past all his flashiness and flirty ways. I’ve had to face off against him a number of times in court, and I’ve seen his relentlessness when it comes to uncovering the truth - even when it ended up greatly hurting him in the end - and it’s admirable he’s still able to continue going and staying in his field of being a prosecutor despite everything he’s had to go through.
