Dagon faced the group again, taking a deep breath. “This- this next file is going to be the worst one. So I need you all to pay attention to me and follow my directions. If you don’t, this next fold could get you killed. Okay?”

Gabriel's face was buried in Uriel's shoulder. Now that he was out of the Cabinet, he felt more coherent, and he felt bad for leaning on them so. But he couldn't help it.

Uriel clearly didn’t mind though, as they curled up close to him. Even as a nagging voice reminded them of exactly who was responsible for what happened to An. But they couldn’t go down that train of thought. So they hugged Gabriel tighter.
Dagon closed her eyes. They all seemed fine physically, and Dagon was tired...

Levi panted, sobs still raking his chest. "We'll find him, we'll save him," he repeated, shakily.

Beelzebub said nothing and just rubbed his back. The panic gave way to numb. They sort of watched themselves hugging Levi now, like on a movie screen. Everything felt very far away and distant now.

Gabriel's sobs were subsiding somewhat, but he didn't let go of Uriel, wanting to be the one to comfort them now instead of them comforting him.

Uriel curled up in his arms. Still hoping to comfort him some, while also calming down enough to grasp that what they had heard had been false.
“It wasn’t real.” They mumbled.
Right then, someone else was unceremoniously dumped into the catacombs.

Belphegor hit the ground with a grunt, managing to catch himself on his hands and knees. He was a bit damp, and the feathers on his head sported a few water droplets. When he looked up, he was grinning. That grin quickly faded as he took in his companions. “What happened?” @ask-the-lord-of-the-files
“Bel!” Dagon was up in a second. “Hey, you made it!”

Levi looked up at Bel with shining eyes but said nothing, finding himself unable to speak but immensely relieved that Bel was back with them.

“Bel-“ In an instant, Beelzebub was up and throwing their arms around him. Looking him over worriedly. “Bel, are you okay?”
