Sorry to be the one to tell you this but the "masculinity" of butch lesbians is just as arbitrary and poorly defined as that of men.

How exactly are we defining it here? It's a handful of visual signifiers wrapped up with some behaviours that are only gendered because of misogny in the first place. What does it mean for ppl who dress and act in certain ways but definitely *don't* want to be seen as "masculine" for it? Are we gonna start doing "moshpit rules" instead of thinking about it serously?

Dress how you want, but you shrimply don't need to call it masculinity!

Before the storm is super janky, especially the remaster, but in spite of the jank I've actually been really liking it. I kinda feel like it almost works better without as much supernatural stuff, it's pretty decent at being a story about powerless teenagers trying to deal with their shitty lives. Also they're gay!
