I finished before the storm (minus the dlc). I really liked it! Probably more than the original LiS actually. It was definitely a bit poorly paced and the ending felt pretty abrupt (and there was the typical issue of not just being able to tell people what's going on) but the story it was telling was really really good and I think it did a lot of things really right. The bushfire theme was really good, and I like that you can be gay, and the scene where you can kiss Rachel is really emotional.

I do wish the original game had been designed with this story in mind, because it kinda feels like nothing ultimately matters (especially Chloe's relationship with her family) because the first game is still going to happen, but it really hammers home just how devastating losing Rachel was for Chloe. I'm sad that it wasn't longer, and maybe wasn't a bit better, but it was a really good experience and I liked it a lot. It does a really good job of getting across just how much it sucks being a powerless teenager.

one of my least favourite tumblrisms is the weird fervent belief in the virtuousness of physical violence. like the whole "um, clearly youve never been in a situation where you could get your ass kicked" in reponse to someone like, saying something rude.
