Funnily enough, the most recent thing has been trying to get back into the swing of things

Something occured that just,,,, gave me a BIG motivation boost just a few days ago and it made me draw for this silly little blog once again!

I'm honestly just happy to be here again and see what everyone has been up to. Gives me the energy to continue with it because it just makes me happy to see all of these familiar faces around! ^^

I USED TO READ A LOT MORE WHEN I WAS YOUNGER TBH

I like a lot of high fantasy type stuff, and zoofiction like warrior cats etc! Anything with magic and/or talking animals/dragons/etc. Migs recommended way of kings to me ages ago and I still need to pick it up I just need to like. commit to taking it with me to work etc lol

I feel like honey would lean more towards like historical fiction for anything fiction related, but she probably reads a bit of everything!

Lately I've just been putting random YT videos on for bg noise and then playing whatever mindless game I have on my phone. Animal care is a lot especially when working with wild animals and most days I fall asleep after putting like. ymfah on or something lmao

I DID IN FACT GET A COOL NEW JOB!!

I work at a theme park/zoo in their animal education department, so I do a lot of outreach/conservation and stuff but I also help run the animal interaction programs too! We also have our own animals in our department (a macaw, armadillo, and fennec foxes to name a few)!

ok so, not so much 'cool' but more funny-

one of the programs we have is a thing where you can swim with our dolphins, it's super popular and usually completely booked. There was this guy who signed up for it and he had a little tatsugiri keychain plush on his bag, cool! I said something along the lines of 'oh cute tatsugiri keychain' and it was like a switch was flipped bc he was just suddenly very excited, like 'oh no one EVER knows what this is' etc, and tried to flirt with me at every opportunity. MEANWHILE, my coworker is trying to flirt back. She's so into this man. He is ignoring every pass she is making at him and continuing to flirt with me despite every hint that I am v much not interested.

Finally we're escorting him and the other guests out, he waits to be the last one out and stops me to ask if he can add me on insta. I do not have an instagram and tell him as such. Never have I seen the raw panic in someone's face bc some random white girl Did Not Have Insta. Dude backtracks to asking if he can add me on FB. I hit him with "ohhhhh I haven't used FB in like a decade..." Dude looks completely lost and gives up. I lock the doors and turn to my coworker. "Do you think I should have mentioned my wife more?" I ask her, my coworker is actively trying not to cry while laughing.

I have been procrastinating on everything ever but I suppose that's life for you! It is very cold here, how's the weather where you're at? Pleasant, hopefully?

It's been pretty chilly for my area of cali, the past couple of nights its been like ~35 or so! (so so so cold compared to your area/majority of the east coast rn, I know lmao) I'm learning that me and anything below 55 do not get along anymore lmao I'm old

Anyway hi everyone! I hope you've all been doing well! Just a small post that yes I am alive! Due to some diagnoses I'm not able to draw nearly as much anymore(or at all really atm,,,,), but I'm still around even if I'm not liking posts/sending asks!

While I'm logged in here, I know it's a bit late but perhaps some munday asks? Tell me how you've all been! Catch me up on plots, share something nice that's happened recently, whatever!

Hopefully I can get back into semi-regular activity soon, until then don't be strangers! <3

(Toasty @ Honey): "It is rare to meet a Pokemon with the inability to utilize their destined element. I've only ever seen it once, and never with a fellow fire type. What do you use as a means of defense if you're unable to use your flame? I'm guessing there is some kind of alternative you use, right?"

Honey: ...Truthfully, even before I evolved with an incomplete fire stone, I wasn't much of a fighter. I never really had a need to until recently! My mother is leader of a high ranking bounty hunting team and my best friend is Victini's patron- and of course Alice and Erin were there for me too once I was introduced to them through Uxie...

My moveset right now is... mostly defensive to compensate for my lack of ah... firepower I guess you could say..! Double Team to confuse an attacker and then myself and all my copies use Dig to make a quick getaway if possible. Swift can be versatile as either a distraction or all out attack, and finally Endure if things get too close for comfort... Though I suppose even then it doesn't do much against fire type moves.

It works well enough, but until recent memory I never really had to fight. And even then I wasn't... W-well, maybe I SHOULD think about alternatives to my moveset until my flamesac fully develops... You've given me a lot to think about.

aside from a few asks from...over a year ago being saved the askbox has been nuked to give a fresh start! I will be updating the ask hints page soon and just overall doing a bit of spring cleaning/updating over the next few days!

It used to be a holy place long before the patron system was put in place, believe it or not. And functioned as a meeting place much like Origin Tower does for us gods now. It was where we did most of our duties before we all had patrons.
