(( This blog is officially inactive! Roughly a year has passed since Casshern Sins ended on Toonami (which was what this blog was meant to run alongside), and I think it's time we give Casshern a rest. Thanks to everyone who sent him questions! It was fun! ))

"Then I guess my name is Lilith..." She said smiling a little. "But you can call me whatever you want." She told him giggling a little.
"I'll just call you that, then," he softly whispered to her. He took a moment to gaze outside, where the weightless scraps of rusted metal littered the air. "This world... it isn't fit for you. Tell me, do you know who Luna is?"

"Hello.. Casshern...." She said blushing a little. "No, nothing at all..." She said frowning and looking away. What was this warm feeling she felt in her chest...? When she looked at him she couldn't help but blush. Why..? She didn't understand...
He gave her a sympathetic smile as he brushed a lock of hair away from her eyes. He wasn't sure why her cheeks suddenly flooded with color, but perhaps it was just another human thing he wouldn't be able to understand. "I found you... back at that lab," he said. "There was a clipboard on the table... It said your name was Lilith."
(bites him in the neck (or on the arm) to drink) thanks. Sorry if I hurt you that bad. But because of my thirst for blood, it's been tough for me... Wish I dropped dead so I can stop this pain.
Don't say such things. Perhaps life is full of suffering... but we must live on, if just for the sake of living. If your life is meaningless... then you must give it meaning.
*moves hand over neck* Don't worry about me. I've dealt with worse.
well I wouldn't know what I would consider normal...I guess I just said that well...*looks of into a distance* would if I told you that I wasn't a human? but something particularly like it
Not human? Well… That might make two of us. I’m still not completely sure what I am, either. But there’s nothing wrong with not being human. There are different beings in this world, after all.

She frowned slightly. “I-I don’t know…” She said. Her voice was soft and sweet, almost like she was speaking a song. “W-who are you…?” She asked, her brows knitting together in worry. Why couldn’t she remember anything? Or had she even had a life before to begin with…?
Casshern paused for a moment, gazing down at her with a tender countenance. The familiar glossy-eyed look on his face told him enough -- she couldn't remember anything. Not herself, not this world... definitely not him, if they had even crossed paths before in the past. For a moment he felt as if he was with a kindred spirit; waking up in a world he didn't remember was something he could easily relate to.
"I am Casshern," he replied simply. "Do you remember anything at all?"

She looked up at the boy a bit bewildered. She looked a little out of sorts, but awake. She reached up and gently touched her savior's cheek and smiled at him.
Casshern smiled down at her in return, taking his own hand and softly stroking the back of the girl's hand as she held it over his cheek.
"Tell me," he started, making sure to keep his voice low, "is your name... Lilith?"

She gripped onto his shoulders as he carried her, coughing a bit as they walked.
She awoke a little while later, opening her eyes to the stinging poisonous air and immidiately shutting them again.
He felt a slight movement in his arms as she woke. Casshern saw her open her eyes and quickly close them shortly thereafter, and as he gently pulled some of the cloth over her eyes, he approached a small cavern of discarded metal pieces and crouched down under it so that the particles of rust hanging in the air could not get to them through the wind.
"Are you awake?" he softly asked her as she continued to rest in his arms.
*closes eyes* you make me feel so normal even though I'm not
What would you consider “normal,” then? Everyone and everything is different… You should be who you are, the way you are.

She started to cough a bit, curling further into the boy, gripping onto his shoulder tightly. The ruin was strong in here, poison holed up in the small place effected her even though she wore the mask.
He directed his attention back at her and slid the clipboard back onto the desk. Casshern held her close, realizing that the Ruin must have began to affect her. He took a moment to think about his options -- he came to the conclusion that there was nowhere suitable for her to survive except in a single place: Luna's castle.
He grimaced. Though he did not despise the goddess, she and him were now opposites; two sides of the same coin. He was Death; she was Life. He vowed not to return to her until he absolutely needed to, but as he looked down at the coughing human in his arms, he understood what was needed of him.
"Don't worry..." he whispered to the girl as he approached the doorway leading outside. "I'll take you to Luna."

His eyes set on a clip board resting on a desk across the room. Perhaps it had information on her? Other than that, there were papers settled in the dust scattered across the room. The place looked like whoever ran this place had left in a hurry... There were other chambers, but each were destroyed and upon further investigation he noticed decayed bodies in them. Ones like her...
Cautiously, he approached the clipboard resting on its perch on the desk, trying not to look at the discarded chambers and the corpses that lay discarded within them. With one arm still holding the girl, he moved his other to the board and lifted it to eye-level. The penmanship seemed oddly familiar, as if he'd seen it someplace before, and as he scanned the sheet through unfamiliar words and terms, one thing in particular caught his eye: "Lilith."

She did not answer, having fallen asleep against him, breathing softly into the mask. She let her hand trail up and placed it on his other shoulder, holding gently onto her savior before whispering "...Casshern...." Silently in the mask, almost inaudible.
He gave a soft gasp, arching back the slightest bit at the sound of his name. He knew she had fallen back into sleep -- still, he couldn't help but ask a breathless question to the emptiness of the room.
"How do you know my name...?"
Casshern let a few moments of silence saunter between them before looking around for anything that could tell him who this strange girl was. He recognized the area as some sort of lab and reasoned that she must have been some sort of test subject, perhaps the last pure human left on this world who was untouched by the Ruin.

She groaned a little as her brow knitted together before opening her bright sky-blue eyes to look up at him, then closing them again and resting her head against his shoulder. She coughed a little as she nuzzled him warmly, having no memory of ever feeling so close to someone before. Despite his robotic features, the boy was very warm, comforting for the wet and shivering girl.
Casshern managed to give a light smile, and he lifted her warmly against his chest. He couldn't help but feel the slightest sense of virtue when he saw that she was very much alive. He still couldn't see much of her through the darkness of the room, and the faint green glow of the shattered chamber was still all he was given to look at her features. Softly, he whispered,
"Are you okay?"

Her body fell loosely down, hanging by the many tubes and cords attached to her, still unconscious. He could see her hot breath fogging up the mask over her face as a sign she was still alive. Naked and exposed to the elements, he couldn't leave her like that...
Thinking quickly, Casshern dashed to a nearby room and, after a few passing moments of rushed searching, found a deposit of unsullied cloths in an out-of-the-way closet. He stepped back into the chamber room with a silent caution and proceeded to wrap her gently into the sheets; he did such as he recalled the way he once witnessed another human mother wrap her own child in them. Casshern carefully removed the tubes attached to the girl's body and finished masking her in the cloth, and as the last cord was severed from her, he held her in his arms as if to safeguard her from the rust that invaded the room from below.
He brushed a lock of hair out of her face, stepping away from the chamber and towards the back of the room. At last he noticed her breath against the mask she still wore and, with a slight curiosity, shook her very gently from side to side, hoping for any form of response.
