He knew it was a rather lame question, but it was the only thing he could think of on the fly that might get her talking enough to relax her nerves.

"No… It’s jus’… I dun know. Feel li’ I’m missin’ somethin’." She shook her head, gently tucking her head under his chin. "Probably nothin’."

He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. “You were gone for a long time, it’s gonna take some gettin’ use t’ bein’ back.” He said gently, frowning softly.

"I suppose ya're right..." Things were still fuzzy in her mind, and it was already bad enough memories she was sure weren't her's seemed to be showing up.... It was confusing. Rubbing her face out of habit, she took a sigh, billowing steam out as she tried to calm back down.

Looking back up into Brandon’s face, Dapper had a quick flash of memory. Something about… Walking in the park? With Brandon? And he was upset about something? The bot blinked her eyes a few times, the feeling of guilt hanging on her now and squeezing his hand a little tighter.

He frowned for a quick moment, picking up on Dapper’s guilt before smiling again. He was just happy to see her back in one piece; he couldn’t care less how she had run off before, especially since 420 was in control then. “Hey, were ya plannin’ on doin’ anythin’?” He asked, not wanting to keep her from anything important.

"No... It's jus'... I dun know. Feel li' I'm missin' somethin'." She shook her head, gently tucking her head under his chin. "Probably nothin'."

When he leaned back, Dapper planted a small kiss on his forehead before letting their foreheads touch. “I missed ya, too, Baby… Doesn’t really feel li’ long, but… Things’ve been strange since wakin’ up. It’s nice seein’ a familiar face.”

He grinned softly down at her before drawing her into another, shorter hug. “‘M jus’ glad t’ see ya back.” He replied, taking her hand in his own and giving it a small and fond squeeze.

The way Dapper paused before speaking niggled uncomfortably in the back of Elijah’s mind; the femme had said that before, when she hadn’t been alright— but now there was no damning bag of evidence in her hand. And would Jerkass McButtface have given her the all clear if she wasn’t repaired? He was more of a mechanic than she was (though not half of what Shi was), and Ms. Dap trusted him… even if he was a two-faced piss-pot ape-licker.

And Ms. T did the same thing, not seeming fine but then being okay after she asked.

So… she wouldn’t push it, for now.

"Okay," Elijah chirped, scythed tail waving behind her. "Are you gonna work now? Or start givin’ kisses again? I could move your box! I have time! Well, a lil’ time. Enough!"

"Oh," Elijah said, brightening as Dapper (in her view) dismissed her of any wrongdoing. "Good."

Her old programming took over, pulling back to sit and beam at the femme much like a dog awaiting orders; the superior has returned and debriefed, she had done well, and now there would be new orders.

"So are you… all better? Need fuel? Repairs? Anything?”

Pursing silver lips together, Dapper thought about that a moment. ....She did need help. Figuring out why she was so... Volatile and paranoid lately. It was like she was becoming someone else now. It was still frightening. But she couldn't think to ask someone for help. Something told her that telling Elijah wouldn't help either..... "I'm all bett'ah. Jus' fine."

"Damn," Marcus let go of Dapper and turned. "We’ll have to walk it."

He didn’t respond, holding her even longer before eventually and slightly reluctantly letting go to wipe away a small tear. “I missed ya, ‘s been too quiet without ya aroun’." He gave her a small smile, simply glad to have her back.

Elijah was quiet, save a soft purring rumble that Dapper could feel in her shoulder, but after a moment her optics slitted open, scanning the garage.

"… Yer beau called th’bar, but he wasn’ here… ‘n the door to where you was wasn’t open… ‘n I couldn’ geddit open without, uhm," The thought train arrived and Elijah’s fans folded sheepishly.
