"Good to hear," Marcus smiled over his shoulder. "Would have thought his constant working would be driving you nuts."

"Damn," Marcus let go of Dapper and turned. "We’ll have to walk it."

Dapper gave a quick nod, following after Marcus and pushing some hair back out of nerves.

"Guess I’ll need to have a word with our boys once they turn up,"  Marcus smiled. He could tell she was about to freak out.

"Love, listen, I’m not trying to scare you, but the boys probably ran off the road." He put his hands on her shoulders and tried to look her in the eye," We’ll find them."

She forced herself to take deep breaths, the action allowing some steam to escape her mouth. Focus. Just focus on the objective and there’d be no need to freak out or lapse. “I was lookin’ as I came up th’ road. Didn’ see anythin’ lookin’ like skid marks or the like."

"Damn," Marcus let go of Dapper and turned. "We'll have to walk it."

Hearing some one outside, Marcus pocketed his phone and headed out.

"You most be the lovely Dapper." His hand was out for a hand shake," I’ve heard quite a bit about you."

Dapper’s earlier paranoia was still transparently obvious, and she couldn’t stop looking Marcus over before hesitantly taking his hand and giving a small shake, grip making it a little tight. “Wish I cou’ say ‘a same."

"Guess I'll need to have a word with our boys once they turn up,"  Marcus smiled. He could tell she was about to freak out.

Marcus used the time it took for Dapper to make the trip to make a few calls to make sure that Fawkes wasn’t picked up by anyone nefarious.

Dapper had been trying to look along the sides of the road as she drove up, finding nothing. No metal bits of her boyfriend, no bike, not even black tire marks that could infer he went off the road. So she was more then panicky when she parked in front of Marcus’s complex and jumped out.

Hearing some one outside, Marcus pocketed his phone and headed out.

"You most be the lovely Dapper." His hand was out for a hand shake," I've heard quiet a bit about you."

"I’m not sure just yet, but you need to come up here. Got a pen?"

Marcus was slightly lying but his hunch needed to be more than that. He needed time to make sure that it could be nothing else.

Once Dapper was ready he gave her his general address and simple instructions on how to get there.

She grabbed a pen, quickly scratching out the address and general directions on a pad near the phone. “Alrigh’… I’ll be up in a bit. Gimme an hour ‘r so. Lemme give you my cell…" She spouted off her own number, grabbing the keys to the truck and already looking towards the door.

Marcus used the time it took for Dapper to make the trip to make a few call to make sure that Fawkes wasn't picked up by anyone nefarious.

"Oh Dapper. I’ve heard alot about you." Marcus paused for a moment.

"Can you drive?"

He had a feeling of what might have happened. But he would need her help.

She gave a sigh of steam, nodding to herself a moment before answering “Yeah, I can. …..What you think happened ta’ him?" She needed to know what to expect. No matter how scared she was right now.

"I'm not sure just yet, but you need to come up here. Got a pen?"

She waited another hour before trying to call again.

Said hour was spent wearing a hole on the garage floor, laying on the bed upstairs and trying to calm down, and wearing a new hole. She was so scared…. Her boys were out, possibly off at this point. She should’ve tried getting a hold him earlier… So stupid, and now it’d hurt Fawkes and Jericho both.

At 58 minutes, she tried Marcus’s number again, praying she wouldn’t get voicemail.

Marcus’ cell rang a again. He happened to have his hands full the moment he got a call back the first time. Looking at the number, it was Fawkes’ shop.

" Fawkes, bout time you called."

"This ain’ Fawkes… My name’s Dapper. I live wi’ Fawkes." She looked down to the side, pushing some hair out of her face. “You lef’ a message earlier sayin’ he still wasn’ in…. He’s na’ here."

Headcanon (maybe)

It has been discussed that Marcus is a disowned Becile. When he was in his early teens, he took a large amount of money without permission and lost in a very irresponsible way. This explains his falling in with the Mob at 16-17 years old.

All that said, since the war, Marcus keeps a journal of sorts. There is a sadly common one line entry that pops up every couple months...

Some facts about Marcus

He live in what can really only be called  a compound deep in wooded country outside of Fawkes' town. He also owns apartments in various city around the country.

Marcus has a small fleet of car and vehicles that is at his compound. Nearly ever vehicle has a purpose but a few are just because.(I mean, when you have money, why not own a few fun things just for the hell of it)

Marcus likes to refer to himself mainly a a procurer more than anything else.  He prides himself on the fact that he can find and "acquire" just about anything.

Marcus traffics and deals weapons, be a wheelman, and part time hitman.

Though the hitman thing is a rarity, it something that is rather easy money and mixes things up abit. Side note: Marcus has a 100% completion so far.

Everything in Marcus' live has rules. Every "job" he has there are rules. The rules will me in a separate post.
