"I’ve been gardening. Quite a lot actually. The backyard is just filled with plants now. I find it relaxing." Best to start with the good news. Better to slowly work his way into….the other things. To be quite honest he didn’t want to bring up the bad news. This moment was too good to spoil with their reality. He leaned into the kiss shamelessly, and closed his eyes with a content sigh when it was over. "I wish I could say that there was nothing but good news, but that isn’t the truth. Can we not talk about it right now though? It can wait until later. At a time when things aren’t this pleasant."
Dean's stomach immediately dropped with worry, his chest clenching but he swallowed and nodded his head. "Anything You need" He promised him, bringing their foreheads together. "I'm so sorry I wasn't here"
He felt like he had repeated those words a lot and guilt managed to wrap itself tightly around him but he pushed it away. Cas wanted to be in this moment with him and he wanted to do the same. Everything else could wait until later, for now they were /together/. "I love you, Cas" He repeated again because no matter how many times he said it, it would add up to the truth.
