ooc: Devout Grey, in the wake of the murders and the imposters, has decided that the safest and best way to go about not dying is to worship the killers, maybe if they like them, they’ll leave Devout Grey alone!! They would love to interact with Among Us roleplay blogs, whether that be ocs or official characters!! ^^

NOTICE!! I have, as of writing this, fairly recently escaped my abuser. I write this precautionarily in case they, or their friends, find this blog. In the event that they do, they will try to spread that I myself am an abuser, cheater, manipulator, and possibly worse. I want everyone to know, so I don’t lose this community.

Pinks gaze quickly fell on the doorway, holding Devs gaze,

"..How may I help." They asked, their voice lacking any warmth.

Pink leaned back in their desk-chair, setting their pen down as they make a 'come in' gesture with their other hand.

Devout Grey entered, “I doubt you are capable of helping in any way significant.” They spoke calmly, still holding Pink’s gaze. There was a moment of silence.

Before Dev finally sighed, setting aside their Bible and holding up their hand. There was a smear of blood on the front of the book, and a jagged cut on the palm of Dev’s hand. It did not seem fresh, maybe a day or so old. It was angry and inflamed.

Pink rolled their eyes at the comment, before their attention was brought to the relatively old-cut on Devs hand.

A small, almost smug smirk started appearing on their face.

".. I see."

Trying not to laugh because of the irony, Pink stands up from their chair and makes their way to a nearby cabinet.

"Since I 'probably cant help you in any meaningful way'," Pink repeated, "Ill just have to conpletely heal your hand.. what a shame." They said sarcastically, gesturing to Dev to move himself onto a stretcher.

Devout swallowed back the angry bile in their throat and sat on the stretcher. “You should be surprised I came to you for such a task. There are doctors far better on this ship, I am sure.” Yet, as he spoke, why did he come to Pink? Damn me.

Pink stopped rummaging through the cabinet, pulling out a bottle of antibacterial fluid before making their way over to a sink.

"Trust me, no ones better at medicine than me." Pink exclaimed, almost coldly.

They started washing their hands, quite quickly, as if they've done it millions of times before.

"Want to tell me a bit more about what happend?" They asked. ..yk gotta ask the doctor-y stuff even while hating the patient 😔✌️

Devout reluctantly extending his hand over to Pink. He looked them dead in the eyes, the only information they would allow being:

“You have to make sacrifices for your devotions.” He tilted his head forward, “you wouldn’t know very much about that, hmm?”

Pink paused. Just for a fraction. Closing their eyes tightly and taking a breath.

"I could tell from back here it was by your doing." Pink quipped, their unamused-ment easily heard, "Do you have the.. tool? You used? Was it rusty or anything?" They asked, completely ignoring Dev's last comment.

”I am not a fool,” he spoke flatly, “no, it was not rusty. It was piece of shattered glass, courtesy of my wine.” They kept their hand extended. Patiently, expectantly.

He wanted to break Pink’s nose, he wanted Pink to frustratingly gently tend to his hand. He had never liked contradictions. He had enough of those with his devotions without Pink being in the picture.

"You drink?!"

Pink was, honestly, shocked by the question.. nothing dramatic of course, but definitely snapped them out of auto-pilot.

With their hands finally washed, Pink put on some medical gloves on and walked over to Dev. ..the constant, expectant extending of the hand was driving them insane.

Slowly, almost as if Dev would bite, they hesitantly put Dev's hand in theirs, opening it up to look at the wound.

Pink inhales sharply, purely to make the noise, "Goodjob, your belief caused you to get stiches." They exclaimed, their gaze focused on the hand, not letting it go.

“Yes, I drink for religious purposes and rituals,” Devout spoke matter of factly. He quietly waited, and something about the way he sat softened and relaxed as he finally felt the weight of his hand rest in Pink’s hand.

The slowness at which Pink touched made his head spin. “Well, I do what is expected of me. I will bleed the unenlightened blood from my body.”

".. Youre literally gonna bleed yourself dry? Who told you to do that?!" Pink asked, a genuine question. I mean, they were dumb founded. Did he get a magic vision that told him to practice blood-letting?

"Maybe you should hold a chicken to your chest next, see if that 'enlightens' you." Pink mocked, letting go of Dev's hand and reaching for the antibacterial fluid.

Honestly, this experience wasnt as annoying as they thought itd be. Its fun to argue about beliefs again.

“Maybe they have a skill set in minor injuries. Maybe they could even solve some major ones,” he lowered his pipe, and tilted his head slightly, “but the end of all days, at the end of our feeble and weak lives…,” he paused for a brief moment, “they are yet to save a soul.”

*There was a loud crashing sound from one of the nearby rooms, followed by a variety of curses from inside. It almost sounded like a growl if he was listening closely.*

*The door was slightly ajar, maybe they could check that out.*

Devout Grey shot up, startled by the sudden loud noise. He tiptoed across the hall, before curling his fingers around the door and opening it slowly. Their eyes widened and their breath caught.

*The place was a messy, chairs having been through against the wall and shattered. A desk tipped over with what appeared to be a tentacle stabbed clean through the middle of it.*

*They stood in the middle of the room, back to Devout Grey, their arm split open revealing rows of sharp teeth like structures, curved into a almost scythe like shape. More tentacles slipping from their backpack and anchoring them to the floor.*

*seems like they haven't noticed him yet.*

Devout Grey stood there, before sliding into the room and shutting the door quietly. He just stood there for a moment, stars in his eyes, they looked struck and scared and in awe.

“I won’t tell anyone what you are,” they finally spoke up, taking a step closer.

*That caused Charcoal to freeze, letting out a low curse at their stupidity, The one time they forgot to lock the door was when someone discovered them. And now they would have to deal with this.*

*After a moment they finally turned with a glare, which was slowly laced with a sense of confusion at their face. Of course they could see the fear but not much. Most crewmates would have screamed and ran, or maybe even tried attacking them, this was different.*

*So, they decided to play along, just to see if they would do something extreme, or something that would lead to their death. Finally, they spoke. Voice low and amused, a heavy accent from who knows where clearly heard.*

"Oh really, and why's that?"

“You are far more significant, far more powerful than any of us amongi. I owe you my respect.” Devout had rarely seen an imposter outside of their disguise. It made his heart race, a bead of sweat rolling down his cheek.

*And that surprised them greatly, incredibly so, No one's ever said anything like that before. Suspicion was immediately setting in. This had to be a trap of sorts, but what kind?*

*They let out a soft hum, taking a step closer, almost staring like they were studying them. Then walking over and setting down one of the remaining chairs a few feet infront of them, Pulling another chair and sitting down. Gesturing to the other one for them to sit in.*

*Guess they wanted to have a chat.*

Devout obediently settled into the seat, crossing his hands in their lap. He looked at Charcoal with curious eyes, eyes that held both marvel and terror.

“You are awe striking,” he spoke.

Devout Grey’s calmness was certainly faltering. They opened their book once more. It was clear now that it must be some kind of Bible, with their dedication towards reading it.

“Well, doctor,” they looked over to Pink, their face eerily calm, almost expressionless, “we all have to make sacrifices for our dedications.”
