Devout was in front of Banana’s door. He had a Victorian style cross body bag, the kind filled with syringes and scalpels, various medical supplies.

“I have more experiments to do.” He stated plainly. He didn’t seem bothered by this whatsoever.
Why?? We did blood draws, reflex testing, AND you tried to cut me OPEN!?
“And yet I did not succeed. Today is the day that changes.”

[Banana crossed their arms and brows furrowed]
Devout glared, “you know that’s not what I said, do not twist my words.”
It seems like you’re planning it!
[Banana rolled their eyes]
Devout scoffed. “Just come with me.”

[Banana followed as they did they made sure to plan everyday they could get the upper hand incase things went sour..with dev they always did]
Devout took them to his bedroom, gesturing to the bed. “Sit.”
Be began to undo his medical bag. He pulled out a syringe and I vile of fluid.
[Banana sat down]
You don’t have to order me around like a dog.
Devout sneered, “roll over.” He said, sarcastically. He filled the syringe with the fluid, slowly drawing it and switching out the tips.
Oh bark bark
[Banana said deadpanned]
…Glad you are actually trying to be sanitary.
”I am always sanitary.” Devout responded. “Stay.” He readied the needle to inject.
I can be put without being treated like a dog.
[Banana sighed]
Devout reached down, holding the skin taut on Banana’s thigh, before pricking the skin with the needle.
The rush was a visceral sensation, invigorating and scary, really.
[Banana paused feeling off the wall]

Dev jerked back at the sound. “Jesus, calm down. It’s just epinephrine.”
YOU INJECTED ME WITH- UH UHH…STUFF
Y…YOU..MY - GOD!?
[Banana grabs onto Devout’s for stability]
Devout jerked back. “It’s not that bad.”

[Banana began to shakes their arm around just to try and calm down]
Devout’s eye twitched, and suddenly, there was a strike to Banana’s jaw. Banana’s head snapped sideways, Dev’s fist raised, panting. “Calm down.”
[Banana out of fight or flight bashed their head into Devout’s]

[Banana had a broken nose and bruised and somewhat bloody forehead]
Devout stumbled back.
“Gah— what the hell is your problem?”
Devout snapped. “A real crewmate wouldn’t do the things you do.”
[Banana paused now working fully on the anger Devout’s had pulled out of them]
[Banana blinked like how an animal would but no longer with the need of survival an animal bases actions on. Just anger.]

Devout’s head was spinning. The impact had made his eyes water. Blood was splattered over his face, he felt like he was going to vomit. The two of them were on floor now. There was something soothing about the pressure of Banana’s forehead against his. He figured Banana was in just as much physical agony now as he was. Neither could really see. Devout sniffled. He tried to speak, but only wheezed.
[Banana just started to repeat “i don’t wanna die” extremely mumbly]
[Banana was half asleep by this point now just sobbing with no sound]
Dev’s hand shakily reached up, his trembling fingers rubbing up and down Banana’s back soothingly. He was sniffling. The impact had hit tears out of him.
“You make me sick,” he ground out through his teeth, hiccuping. Yet, he was still touching Banana so tenderly, the sentiment seemed to cancel out.
[Banana eventually fell asleep now lighter sense they weren’t trying to hurt Devout now, tears still trickling down their face]
