@askelayne
So as some of you might know, today is my birthday when translated into the calendar of this world. I have been having a happy birthday as well, having been to an amazing kebab restaurant for lunch and getting a bottle of whisky to enjoy with my loved ones. It may not be what I wanted back when I was the Dragon Reborn, but I truly am happy right now.
Happy birthday, you wool-headed sheep herder! Save some of that whiskey for me!
back with MORE cursed content for this fandom
Well, you aren’t wrong…
Rand gets pegged. By me.
If your son can channel, will you be sending him to the Black Tower to become a full Asha'man, or would you expect him to follow tradition and train as a Warder?
That depends, really. I won’t send him anywhere he doesn’t want to go, so if he decides he wants to be an Asha’man, by all means. I will expect him to receive at least some training in the One Power, however, if he chooses to become a Warder. If he can channel and he does not receive training to learn how to control it, he may become a wilder like Nynaeve and suffer for it. I will not see my son suffer.
In your opinion, what is the most attractive trait in another person?
Hmm...
Confidence, probably. Not overconfidence, that’s annoying as Trolloc’s balls. Just confidence. Someone who is sure of themselves, who knows what they want, but is also wise enough to know how to be humble. Humility is very important.
Who do you think you could win against in a fist fight?
You, definitely. Also Mat, Rand, Perrin because he’s a big softie and wouldn’t hurt a lady.
Meet me in the gardens, bitches
Whom do you admire?
I admire a lot of people, and I’m not too proud to admit it. Even queens can admire people.
I admire Moiraine Sedai, for her bravery and perserverance.
I admire my friends, for being themselves. They’re all such wonderful people.
But most of all, I admire my people, for the steadfastness they have shown during the trying times that are now, thank the Light, behind us.
If you were trapped on a desert island (and couldn't travel off because of a dreamspike or something) what three things would you bring with you?
That is an odd question... Can I bring other people? And can they also bring things? If so, I would bring Birgitte and Aviendha and a ter’angreal that can extract drinkable water from salt water. And they would bring other things we need to survive.
((Maybe it’s time to answer all the questions that have been sitting in my inbox for over a year, i’m so so sorry, i have no excuse))
How mad on a scale of 1-10 would you be if I cut off rand's hand. 1 being least mad. It'd be a clean cut I do my job well
... I don't think you'd be around to hear how mad I would be, if you even managed to cut it off at all.Basically what I'm saying is, I will vaporize you before you can even lay a finger on him.
Well... This is awkward...
I had a friend unexpectedly appear in my chambers today. Apparently the kind people I lived with during my time on Earth attempted to fix the technology-fueled portal I used to return again, only for it to drag both itself and the closest of them into my sitting room. The machine is now a pile of slag stuck to the floor, by the way.
Even more interesting, the person who was carried through looks quite different from when last we met. They changed their name from Einulf to Claire, and I suppose I should be using she to refer to her now. I am glad she found who she truly is.
So, without further chatter, I am pleased to introduce Claire, an amateur blacksmith and fairly accomplished wielder of sword and a truly unique shield. She is happy to answer any questions you may have on this blog, provided they are directed to her. She will also make her own post sometime soon, once she recovers a little.
@askelayne, I took the liberty of having a room prepared for her, as well as hiring a tailor and a cobbler to aid her in settling in. I highly doubt she will be able to return to Earth for a very long time, if ever, and I owe her a large debt besides.
Very well, but I should like to speak with this Claire once she’s recovered a bit. I don’t much like the idea of having complete strangers in the Palace, never mind someone from another world.
*A tall, well muscled woman with long blonde hair wearing jeans and a pastel green T-shirt approaches the Loin Throne nervously, bowing before speaking*
Hello, Your Majesty. I am Claire Wiggins, and I thank you for your hospitality. This world is quite different from my own, but I hope that with your blessings Rand’s help I will be able to adapt quickly. I have a few skills I can offer in return, but mostly I can give you knowledge, if you wish it.
Pleased to meet you, Mistress Wiggins. You are most welcome to stay in the palace, and if there is anything you need, just ask me or one of my stewards and I will see that you get it as soon as possible.

Someone teaches Elayne’s young children curse words. Elayne is furious. SHE was going to teach them how to curse.
At least when I teach them they understand the context. I’ve long since lost track of the number of times @askelayne combined curses that don’t belong together. My personal favorite thus far has been “sheep swallop in a cup,” as if that makes any sense at all.
Culieb Aman, how dare you, that is slander!
What I said was ‘Demandred’s tit-milk in a shot glass’, not that stupid little girl’s curse. I am offended my dear sir!
Ah, I had wondered about that. Given that I only heard about that particular incident second-hand, I am sure it was altered for good or ill. Still, the original makes less sense! Why not Lanfear instead of Demandred? If you’re going to invent new curses, they should at least make sense.
Look, who's the expert on cursing here? Oh look, it's ME.
Curses don't always make sense, you know. You can't exactly stuff someone's head with actual, physical wool, so why should the strangeness of 'Demandred's tit-milk in a shot glass' shock you?
You know Uni, if you ever get tired of working among those women, I could certainly use a man of your....... Skills at the Black Tower. ~Logain
Now which skills are you thinking of? My bloody terrifying combat skills or my flaming legendary skills between the sheets?
I’m pretty bloody happy with my current employment, but I think a little bit of contract work on the side wouldn’t hurt… Hit me up, flaming whatever skills you’re looking for, @asklogainablar.
Well, I can always use a man with combat skills. Alot of our newer men can barely tell one end of a sword from the other. I keep expecting to walk out to see them impaling each other in practice. Not sure i want to trust them to our combat missions yet.
If you are that shorthanded, why not reach out to the Two Rivers? Lord Tam would surely be willing to help. Not only is he on par with King al'Lan himself, but he taught Perrin’s Wolf Guard the basics in just a few months. I might be able to help as well, if @askelayne would be willing to allow me some time away.
Oh, I suppose... Just make sure you're back before the players arrive, I want you to see what they do. You might learn a thing or two ;)

Did you have any silly phobias when you were a kid? Did Elayne or Galad?
Water, for me, though I don’t know if I’d call it silly, considering I almost drowned. I’m still nervous about water but much better at concealing it. Galad has never been afraid of anything. Elayne ( @askelayne ) has a terrible phobia of spiders. She always has. When she was younger, she asked Elaida ( @askelaida ) to weave something to keep them out of the palace for her.
Haha Gawyn, you silly boy, I don't know why you would make something like that up... Of course I don't have a phobia of spiders, the very idea would be preposterous, absurd even! Where do you get it from, dear brother?
I am NOT afraid of spiders.
What is your favourite job that you have to do as queen?
Listening to the petitions of my subjects, I love to help wherever I can.
