i have this lil’ fantasy au where levi’s the crowned prince of a kingdom called marley and eren’s the princeling of elves (elfdians lmao; zeke’s the crowned prince!) and they grew up in two completely different societies, with different cultures, traditions, and ways of living.

they meet (eren can speak marleyan, thankfully, though not very well). eren is bemused with how many layers of clothing levi always has and levi internally struggles with how open eren is to the subject of nudity. levi is reserved and usually speaks formally while eren is brash and even has a potty mouth lol (he teaches levi some curses in his own language and levi returns the favor, smh these boys). levi learns to unwind and relax around him and even crack some toilet jokes here and there, and eren continues to be, well, eren.

super cheesy extra: eren and levi go to the beach one day to visit eren’s mermaid friends, and levi silently wishes he’s as vocal as the mermaids about their adoration for the elf princeling and wishes he could join eren in the water (he hates the water, almost drowned once). eren notices his mood change and comes back to shore and just smiles softly at him, and that day wasn’t so bad after all because eren held his hand and tugged levi along the shore while the sun set behind them and the afternoon sky melted into the night.

Mereri AU: Warm water and cold water mers have been enemies for hundreds of years, however, when resources are scarce and population is low for cold waters, they offer an alliance, their protection for warm water`s resources. However, both parties want proof of their alliance and thus, offer one of their own to mate each other and seal the peace between the two mer races. Levi is an awkward blowfish who doesn`t know what personal space is and Eren is both endeared and confused by his mate-to be.
