So Let's Get Introduced.
For the newcomers here, my online name is Lumi (my real name I refuse to share) and welcome to my FFXIV nerd zone. I have several OCs in FFXIV, some in development that I won't share until there is enough information about them to where I can put them in any situation and I know exactly how they would react. Before I introduce the cast so far, I would like to give some boundaries and rules. - Minors are not allowed on this blog. I don't hate kids I promise, in fact I love kids. But I'm in my 20s and don't feel comfortable talking to minors online. Nothing against you guys. - No NSFW topics in the ask box please. It's against Tumblr's rules anyway, but not everyone follows rules. I will ignore any questions like that and continued violations will earn you a block. - I'm perfectly fine with RPing with my OCs, but if you want to RP, please go on my RPHub here https://rph.sh/u/starclef78 so you can find my Discord and learn my RP boundaries and preferences. I do not RP on Tumblr. I can RP on Discord and in FFXIV. I'm also free trial right now which will change eventually, but until then, keep it in mind when planning RP. - My characters will ALWAYS be lore adherent. X'kayah Tia
X'kayah was born in Eastern La Noscea to the nunh of the Eft Tribe and one of his wives, S'naidjaa. His mother was a selfish and cruel woman who couldn't stand not being the center of the nunh's world. She would use X'kayah as a way to brag, but the nunh never paid it any mind, only really having polite conversations with X'kayah. Furious by her son's perceived "uselessness", S'naidjaa sold her son to an assassin group looking for young ones to train and then cried to her tribe that he was kidnapped.
He was abused and bullied by these assassins for X'kayah's age-appropriate aversion to violence. What was once an age-appropriate fear evolved to a traumatic phobia of blood. He escaped at age 21 where he had to spend years rebuilding his life from scratch. He dabbled in medical alchemy which led to him working by distributing medicine at clinics and delivering medicine to clinics. Years later, at age 27, he started training to be a field medic.
X'kayah is known for being polite, quiet, literal, and lacks social skills. He has trouble talking to strangers outside of professional settings, but tries his best to at least make polite conversation. X'kayah can be a bit harsh when stressed or royally pissed. But in general, he's a very calm and soothing individual.
Reede Monawesfv
It is unknown where Reede was born, although Skatay Range is a common guess. What is known about his childhood is he spent his first years as a street rat in Ala Mhigo before it was taken by the Garlean Empire. When Reede was 7, he was kidnapped by a Garlean scientist during the takeover. He endured experiments that left him scarred for life, both physically and emotionally. The scientist even told him that he would be a perfect soldier one day and he wasn't good for anything else. This made him determined to prove him wrong.
He finally found freedom at age 19, smuggling himself to Mor Dhona and wandered for years. At age 20, he wandered to Ul'dah where he met a sickly war orphan named Rose. Turns out Rose's family were living in Ala Mhigo during the Empire's rule and passed away due to the poor treatment. Rose was forced to do manual labor that damaged her body permanently and left her sickly. Not wanting her life to be ruined like his was, Reede took her under his wing and started taking odd jobs to afford the medicine she needs. Reede's goal is to find the scientist who tortured him and stole his childhood and enact vigilante justice.
Reede is known to be harsh, cold, somewhat unhinged, and completely distrustful. He does hold a soft spot towards children, especially Rose. Reede's words may seem to be designed to hurt, but it may just be him expressing hurt he doesn't know how to express any other way. Reede is the type who is known to be an asshole, but if you can get past that, he may become a loyal but prickly friend.
Toragana Avagnar
Toragana was born into the Avagnar Tribe which was conquered by the Adarkim tribe. Her family never truly gave up their surnames, but didn't call themselves that in public for the Adarkim Tribe could have them killed if they did. Despite the tension of living in a conquered tribe, Toragana lived happily with a family who loved her. Her family were also devout worshippers of the Dusk Mother, Nhaama. At night, her family would gather into the common space of their home and thank Nhaama for all of their blessings.
At 15, with her family's enthusiastic blessing, Toragana left Othgard hoping to explore new places. As she traveled, she would often do ceremonial dances to thank Nhaama for protecting her on her journey. She wandered for years, educating herself on the etiquette of other countries and learning how to speak, read, and write in different languages. She occasionally returned to her family who had also wandered to a new home, but would always go back to wandering. Now, at age 22, Toragana hopes to study theology so she can study her family's religion and maybe teach it to others if they are willing.
Toragana is known to be serene, kind, and gentle. She doesn't like being in one spot for too long and tends to wander from place to place. Toragana can get easily distracted, doesn't do well under pressure, and can be a bit oblivious to the darker parts of society. But she tries to see the good in anybody and wants to be strong enough to protect her loved ones.
