An Announcement:

Officially, I am leaving this group. It’s been fun, but it’s time for me to go my own way. I love you guys so much and I’ll never forget the fun I’ve had here. Thanks for writing with me and putting up with my bullshit.

As for my muses, they’re not disappearing entirely. All of them (except for Harley, as of right this moment) can be found in a separate group, @askthedescendantshq . Their links will be posted below. I also run an indie blog, @changingthelegacy , where you can find all of my muses in currently 3 different verses: Star Trek, Descendants, and Haven.

Again, it’s been a lot of fun! I’ll miss y'all.

“Jesus Christ, you’re a freak. So what? You feel much better now? Thanks for the broken teeth.”

"Oh calm down," Harley groaned, rolling her eyes. "I didn't hit you that hard. You're just a wimp. If you're seriously that concerned about it, I could make sure I didn't break anything." Though she did secretly find it a shame his jaw didn't break; he talked too much.

So

My hiatus may just be coming to an end soon, and I’ll be back to writing full time! As of right now I am officially only behind 6 weeks - which is not as bad as it sounds, I promise.

Look forward to seeing more of my girls in the near future!

Closed Starter: New Beginnings, New Ink (Tai/Harley)

Harley held her wallet close. She still hadn't gotten past the habit of keeping her valuables as close as possible. She ran her hand through her hair as she stepped up to Tai's dorm.

She knew she couldn't turn back when she entered the room, but she was ready and willing to make the jump. She was ready for a new tattoo. More than ready, actually. She was ready for a new beginning.

Harley knocked on the door, taking a deep breath.

Solo: Family

The cab pulled up in front of the large house. Harley stared out the window, too nervous to open the door.

"I can't wait here forever," the cabbie said. He noticed Harley was still frozen. "Hey, kid. What's got you coming here, anyway?"

She gulped. "Uh... my uncle lives here.."

"You're acting like you've never met the man," the cabbie laughed.

"Because I haven't," Harley said quietly. The cabbie paused, turning around in his seat.

"You know what? If he don't like you, I'll give you a ride back to AP for free. Alright, kid?"

Harley looked over at him, then nodded slowly. "Thank you." She opened the car door.

"Good luck," the cabbie called as she got out.

Harley slowly walked up to the front door. She held up her fist to knock, but hesitated. What if he didn't believe her? What if he hated her? No, no she had to believe that he wouldn't turn her away. She had to.

She knocked on the door.

After a few moments, it opened to reveal a tall man with well-styled dark hair, a few grays scattered throughout. He looked Harley up and down. "Yes?"

Harley took a deep breath. "Hi... Are you... Andre?"

"Yes," he said slowly, narrowing his eyes. "Who's asking?"

"I'm Harley," she said. "Uh... my mom was your sister. We're... family."

Harley hummed to herself for a moment, then smiled. Why not? What’s the harm, right? She smiled at the bird. “I would be happy to,” she said, watching it fly away.

"I did," Harley smiled. She put her hands in her pockets to hide her fidgeting. "I especially liked the ornament. The one that smelled nice."

Harley chuckled dryly. She shook her head. “She’s dead, Cole. Has been for 16 years.” She shrugged. “I don’t even know if she has any living family left. I found a listing for a brother but I haven’t been able to track him down anywhere.”

Okay, that shut Cole up for at least a second. He knew he could be a little flippant when he didn’t think people’s problems were that big a deal, and knowing Harley mom’s was dead… He thanked the heavens there was still plausibility his mom could be alive.

“I’m really sorry about that Harley, would you have wanted to meet her?”

Harley shrugged. "I don't...I don't know. I mean, maybe?" She sighed, rubbing her forehead. "It's just... Persephone is the closest I've got. And I feel like by wanting one of them, I'm disrespecting the other."

The demigoddess put her head in her hands. "I don't know what to do, Cole."

Saying that Alemayehu was nervous was a major understatement. She had barely gotten used to living with people around her, but now she actually invited someone to meet her. And not anyone, someone she didn’t know. Well, that wasn’t completely true, she did meet Harley’s sister, but she had never spoke to her. Did she like the presents? Or did she agree to meet her just to tell her how awful they were? No, she had to stop herself and breathe. Everything would be alright, she just had to wait until Harley arrived where she was.

Harley made her way to the meeting spot, slightly nervous but yet excited at the same time. She smiled nervously. "So, you're my partner, huh?"

So here they were in her room, her sister and her best friend. All recipients of the same letter, tangled in something bigger than them. In need of a plan.

“So”, the demigoddess started, “Any idea what this is?” she asked. “I’d place my bet on the Anti-Heroes, but Harley isn’t one of them so any idea is better at this point.” she shrugged.

Cora frowned, “I don’t like it. A ‘test?’ What kind of ‘test?’ And if it were the Anti-Heroes…why wouldn’t they ask us?” She shrugged, sinking down into her chair, “Do you think this is some kind of code?”

"If it's a code," Harley sighed, "then I'm stumped. And I like to think I'm pretty skilled at codes." She crossed her arms, thinking. "What could it even mean by 'graduation'? I didn't go to school on the Isle."

Solo: Searching Time

Harley was, as per usual lately, holed up in the library. She was trying to find more information about her mysterious uncle. She just wanted to know if he was alive. Was that really so much to ask?

The demigoddess flipped through more pages. She hated looking. She hated not knowing. She hated having to find the answers in some obscure book she wasn't sure if she could even trust. Why couldn't she just-

Wait! There's his name!

Harley frantically searched the page, gasping excitedly.

There was an address listed. And she was going to go find him.

Harley receives a small wrapped package in red present wrapping paper. On it, a note is stuck with the following writing 'I love reading, so I thought of giving you a book. I am not sure what genre you like, so I picked one from this action called 'Blind date with a book'. So please don't be mad at me if you don't like it, the quote on the back sounded really nice! -WPP'

Harley chuckled. She sat down and read the synopsis on the back with a little trouble. Sometimes she really wished English was her first language. She smiled. She would have to read that soon...
