What is happening in the London of 1971?

Oh its not changed much since the 60′s except I suppose its a little more free in some ways. TV’s gone to colour and fashion is changing. There’s no alien invasions so far luckily! And Barbara and I are happily married.

Random, but where do you live? Only asking because I met a Professor Keller once and have been trying to track him down since. It was a rather odd encounter and I can't trust my memory. Maybe you could snap a sly picture?!

I live in London and I’ve never heard of a Prof Keller. Hope he’s not a dangerous sort of fellow.

Easter Time with The Chestertons

I don’t normally go in for this valentines day lark but this year I’ve come over all romantic and have booked a table at a fancy restaurant on the 14th. Hope Barbara likes the surprise. She thinks I’ve no interest in making a show but she always deserves to be spoilt rotten.

Dinner went splendidly. We had a lovely time. It's been so long since we were able to go out just the two of us and we're so busy these days we never have the time to just relax.  It felt like going on our first date all over again. I'm a lucky boy.

What are your plans for Christmas this year? Is John old enough to understand what Christmas is yet?

He’s just starting to understand the excitement. We’re taking him next week to see Father Christmas at one of those big London stores so we’ll see what his reaction is. He’s already seen me carrying some of the decorations through the house and is wondering what we’re all busy preparing for. Last year he was too young, but this year I think he’ll be excited to open his presents.

We have a busy job this year as myself and Barbara are having my parents, her mother, and my brother and his family for dinner (with them, not eating them, whoops). This will be nice because Johnny can open some of his presents with his cousins. They’re a bit older than him but they love playing with him so it will be lovely. The Chesterton crowd are quite raucous and poor Barbara and her mother feel slightly outnumbered. But it should be very nice. Barbara cooks amazing dinners and I’m helping with the spuds and veg. We’re very prepared as you can see anon.
