lilietsblogĀ replied to your postĀ āDo you think itās absolutely necessary for a session to have balancedā¦ā
does there NECESSARILY have to be a Time Player? Like itās theoretically possible to complete a game with no save/loading itās just super hard and unlikely
after thinking about it awhile I do believe so, yes
Because the Time playerās function is not only to Scratch if they need to, but to also help with the frog breeding process, which is intentionally created to take too long to finish properly in normal session time, before the end of the derse prospit war and the reckoning happens
You need a Time playerās time travel powers to set up enough loops to able to complete the whole process on time
Frog Breeding and Scratching seem to be separate processes at first, dictated by only the Space player or only the Time player, since the constructs for them exist on their respective planets alone
but to do it properly and have it turn out successfully, you need the complementary player to help in some way, or give some input
You need Echidnaās Quillās to properly induce the Scratch and you need the Time Playerās power to successfully breed a healthy whole frog
trying to scratch with something else, like Broās unbreakable katana, seems to be able to only do a halfway job of it, or take much much longer than necessary and may not turn out right or be enough to properly do it like Echidnaās quillās would, and there was some talk about a glitch involving a Scratch being the thing responsible for LEās existence and simultaneously the thing that could Kill LE or doom your universe/existence
likewise trying to breed a Frog without the proper application of Time can create a cancerous unhealthy frog, like Karkatās session ended up churning out, remember they didnt technicaly successfully breed a genesis tadpole, they made a frog that was close enough to it, off by one gene sequence and turned that into a universe, with dire consequences
so like, itās technically possible to do, but improperly Scratching or Frog Breeding has dire consequences as weāve seen, that I personally would not consider a success
