Important post I thought I should make considering yesterday's news.

You guys know how special this blog was to me. My pride and joy. But let's not forget the source of inspiration for this blog: the Joe himself! Joey Jordison was an amazing guy.

So grateful to be alive in this time and era where we all got to experience the amazing drummer, friend, band member, EVERYTHING that was Joey himself! Wow! He will be missed SO SO SO much. My heart is literally breaking for his cats, his gf, his family.., everyone who knew him.

Who knew Joey would mean so much to me when I had started this blog? I looked up to him so much when I was in middle thru out high school - weirdly enough I never really knew why he was my favorite (?) when I had first gotten into Slipknot, I just liked his mask the best haha.

The rest was history when I came and started this blog right when AHIG released. (That's when I truly got into Slipknot)

Joey always had a fond place in my heart. Of course I never knew him in real life. I made a whole silly character out of him! I wonder if he ever found this blog, ofc I'm sure if he came across it he'd think he went on some sort of trip or something HAHAHAH

Even though I don't go on this blog anymore and don't update it, I still have a really special place for it in my heart. So many memories, hours I spent doodling and drawing and joking with you guys, I really don't regret this blog one bit.

And really this blog is a tribute to him. If I didn't love Joey so much I wouldn't have had this stupid idea to start an ask blog focused SOLELY on him haha but I cannot deny how much this drummer meant to me and so many other fans!

Thank you to everyone who took the time and read this, i blabber so much but the point is I'm super shocked and obviously saddened by this news - this is such a HUGE loss. Truly.

What makes me feel better is knowing this blog exists because of this special guy and knowing this blog has put a smile on his fans' faces!!

I really miss and love everyone who came and interacted with this blog. You guys gave me the best couple years while I was going thru so much in my teenage years. So thank you for that. But it's not about me. Really it's about our amazing lil drummer boy himself.

Consider this blog a "memorial" for him if you will, I hope you look at this blog and think nothing but positive funny thoughts of Joey!

Lauren here! I’m not dead, thankfully! (yet)

But wow, this blog brings back good memories! I wish I could draw something but I’m at work. I honestly debated about deleting this blog but it’s so fond to me and I can’t bring myself to do it because I just like looking through my old cringe-worthy posts sometimes.

I should probs give an update on my life (if any followers care)!

You probably might know or not but I was about maybe 16-17 when I made this blog? Or maybe even earlier. I can’t really remember. But now I’m an adult! YAYAHahah not rreally but I’m 20 now. Rip. My perspective has really changed on a lot of things. The reason why I can tell is because when I look back at old posts from this blog, I feel so uncomfortable with myself back then lmao

Also... I don’t really keep up with Slipknot anymore I feel so baddd but I can kind of tell it’s not the same?? Esp without Joey THIS MIGHT BE COMING FROM MY ONW PERSONAL BIAS bc helloooo that’s who this blog is about but ya.... I mean... time really flew by, if anyone could enlighten me on any current situations with the band, that’d be lit. ok anyway

But in good news, I’M GOING TO UNIVERSITY finally!!! I did two years of community college b/c money and it’s more economical in a lot of ways... but ya girl is goin to UVA FAM. I’m excited to experience dorm life and being somewhat independent??? As in away from home, working at the school (like I’ve done in the past year), and being in student debt for the first time lmao

In other good news, idk if I mentioned this ever but just in case I didn’t, I got engaged too! Wedding won’t be for a while obv until I graduate from school but damn, me and my high school sweetheart have been together for 4+ years now! 

Change is real bc I’m going away to university, I’m an engaged colleged student, my parents unfortunately divorced this year, and my little brother is gonna be a senior! But I think I’m still kind of the same person on the inside (albeit a little more mature) which makes me happy bc moral of the story is, this blog will always be near and dear to me and I’d love to go back to it any day now!!! And I appreciate everyone who still follows and looks at this blog from time to time, it makes me happy you can reminisce with me like I do sometimes UuU

anyway I hope every one of my followers is doing good with their lives from the time this blog was in its prime up until now!!! Thanks for following this blog!!! Seriously I can’t express my gratitude for you guys putting up with this golden trash.... and the fact that you witnessed my cringy teenage years makes me feel all fuzzy inside too!!! I LOVE YOU ALL

Hey,are you alright?

I'm fine. I hate to admit but I totally forgot I had this blog. But I'm chillin, anon, just been busy with life, school and work. It's been a crappy year

OOC: sorry i haven’t been as active as i’d like to be. i’ve been so busy and even in my free time, i guess i have to admit that 45 messages in my inbox is kind of pressuring ;____; 

but hey, maybe i can update you guys with a little of what’s going on irl (if you even care lmao)? 

so maybe the last time i’ve been on here was in my first year of college? which turned out okay, because i finished the semesters with As! :D i also managed to get involved in student activities so there were times of the week where i would volunteer and host events on campus and stuff.

 i’m starting to get the hang of it, but it’s become even more challenging now that i just got my first job as a work-study in my testing center department (basically working every day of the week except tuesdays and sundays)!

ALSO to add on to that, over the summer, i got to see my boyfriend as he’s staying with me until august 13! then he has to go back to his state to complete his degree ;____; i know i’ll miss him a lot (and i’ve been with him almost every day this summer since may) but if you all even remember, this is the same boyfriend i’ve had for three years!!! so i’m really happy about that, that we can maintain a long distance relationship with matured minds.

unfortunately my parents separated this year, which is really hard on my family financially and time-wise. my mom is going back to work after 10+ years of being a stay at home mom? which is kind of a big deal. and i plan to help her with this by working a flexible job at my school which pays for not only me, but where it’s needed in my home! the good thing is, my parents don’t have to pay for college this year just like last year because of generous financial aid grants!

anyway, so that’s what’s been going on so far. i hope that one day i can make enough time for this blog so i can sit down and draw. i haven’t drawn in weeks and it’s kind of sad... because my best friend now draws more than me and she’s been consistently drawing for maybe over a year now? 

speaking of that, i kind of wonder what’s going on with joey. i’ve searched up a little about him today (i’m still at work) and apparently he had some kind of disability that kind of hindered him for a good while? poor guy. i hope he’s doing well now though! 

and hopefully there’s still some fans out there that support him like always! 

also i just wanted to say to all my followers: THANK you for following this blog no matter how inactive it seems? i’m such a terrible person lol but you guys help me appreciate this blog a thousand times more than i normally would! 

i’m going to a quince today so i won’t be active today unfortunately... but who knows, maybe i can get on tomorrow and answer some questions?

Okay so I got braces then I had to get two teeth extracted on the same day just like 40 minutes apart and about a couple days ago I puked and ripped the stitches out and from time to time I can taste blood am I going to die?

Show some love to the content creators in your community. Stop that caption deleting bullshit. Give credit when it’s due (”credit goes to artist” or “artist unknown” ain’t fuckin’ good enough so don’t pull it, man). It’s discouraging to see your creations taken from you leaving you with no recognition for your work. A fuck ton of y’all have been up to no good with your stealing of artwork, pictures, gifs, etc.
