-Max held her. He held her close as he never had before. Before he felt like he could lose her and then lose himself. Once the feeling that he needed to keep her close and hold her tighter at every breath went away, he slid one hand up to the back of her neck. While his fingers were caught up in the middle of her hair, the other hand rested on her hips, his bare chest enjoying her touch again. The hand that was on her hair went from there to her shoulders, making the strip of her pajama top fall to her arm, his lips kissing the place where they used to be-
-Cal kept kissing him, containing a smile when he held her close. She had missed that. Having someone caring that much about her, someone to hold her, someone to kiss her… They hadn’t been apart for a long period of time, but yet, she urged his touch. A shiver ran down her spine as he kissed her shoulder, and she gasped lightly, fingers tangled on his hair- W-why did you… -she couldn’t finish the sentence, suddenly feeling the urge to be dominant, to have him all for herself. Within less than a second, Caleigh moved to kiss his neck, licking her way down his shoulder, nibbling on his skin and giving light sucks-Â
-Max let out a sigh when Caleigh started to kiss his neck. One of his hands held her hips and the other took care of sliding the other strap of her top, suggesting she'd take it off. After that, his hands slid to her legs, resting on her thighs where his fingers squished her skin-
-Max made a noise when turning to the door to see Caleigh close it and make her way back to the bed- Hey… -he said, confused and still sleepy, running a hand through the back of his head- Everything okay? -he asked, while lifting the sheets and blankets up, suggesting she got back under them. He didn’t really remember much of what had happened before they slept, but he wasn’t eager to find out either. The fact that Caleigh had been close to him for the last few hours made him decide that the present was pretty much everything that mattered and that he shouldn’t tire his mind in search for more memories, at least not as of right that instant-
-she sat on the bed and looked at him. He thought everything was okay? After that fight, after the things he said to her, after going out alone to sail… She shook her head and laughed sarcastically, just watching him. She was mad at him. And yet, she loved him. She wanted to protect him, she wanted him close, as close as possible. With a blink of an eye, Caleigh was straddling him on the bed and she quickly slapped his face once- I hate you! I hate you for calling me a witch! -another slap- I hate you for saying all those things about me! I hate you for leaving me! -another slap, a stronger one- I hate you for going sailing by yourself! -another slap, this one not so strong- I hate you for making me go rescue you, I hate you for making me care about you! -another slap, now a soft one- I hate you for making me love you! I just… I just hate you so much for that! -she pulled him up so he would sit as well and smashed their lips together, one hand pulling him as close as possible by his shoulder and the other holding him on the back of his neck-
-he was just chocked when she started to slap him that no actions or attempts to stop her crossed his mind. Maybe because all the things she said made him realize how many odd, wrong, unfair things he’d done and how many explanations he owned her. But with her legs around his body like that and then their lips smashing together as she held him he though he could post pone the talk. He delicately got her hands on his and placed them together on the back of her back, without breaking the kiss. His lips kissed her neck, making him realize how much he missed the way her skin smelled- No slapping for you… -he whispered in her ears with a husky voice, letting the grip of his hand on hers a little looser- And I’m sorry -he said within the seconds he took to breath and look at her eyes. It was almost impossible not to think that there was some magic behind those green shiny incredible eyes- So, so sorry… -he continued, already kissing her neck and jaw line once again, on his way to another passionate kiss-
-a soft moan escaped her lips as he started kissing her neck, and she tilted her head back, giving him more access to her skin- You should be. -she mumbled, eyes fluttering close- You scared me to deaaaath…. -she breathed out, moving her head so their lips could meet again. She started the kiss slow and soft, hands slipping away from his grip to rest on the back of his neck. Eventually, her tongue traced his bottom lip, asking permission to explore his mouth. Cal rolled her hips a little, pressing her body against his. She made him lay down, laying on top of him, legs still pressed against his sides-Â

-he started to stroke her hair, running his hands down her back to warm her up, his lips resting on her forehead after kissing it over and over- I’m here, it’s all gonna be ok. -he repeated, attempting to calm her and himself down-
-she sniffled quietly, leaning into his touch before her eyes fluttered close and a soft noise came from her lips. It wasn’t a whine, it wasn’t a whimper. Just a loud sigh. She gulped and pressed her forehead against his chest before whispering softly- I’m t-tired…
-he leaned her body against one of the walls- Wait here… -he asked, before getting a big towel to wrap her in while he took her out of the tub and started taking her to the nearest bed. Once she was laying there, he took off her wet clothes, dried her out briefly and put her under the blankets, getting ready to lay beside her-
-Cal did what he asked, always trying to help, trying to do things on her own but not being very efficient, and gladly accepting his help. She curled up under the blankets, partially covering her head and looked at him before closing her eyes, falling instantly asleep-
-he took off his pants and put on pajama bottoms. Once he was laying beside her, his hands started to stroke her hair, his arms wrapping her up with his arms. He was relieved to finally be with her and laying his head on a pillow, above something that didn’t move over the sea. His eyes closed and he slept feeling the smell coming from her neck-
-hours later, Caleigh woke up with the sound of Phillip’s crying. She sighed and opened her eyes, only now realizing she couldn’t exactly move. There was someone holding her, a warm, strong and familiar body pressed against her. She turned to look at who was holding her, and her eyes went wide as she saw Max. The memories from earlier finally made themselves present in her mind and she tried her best to get out of bed without waking him up. She stood by the door for a few seconds, breathing deeply before going to her room to check on Phillip. He wasn’t awake yet, just crying, probably because he had spit his pacifier in his sleep. She leaned down and gently placed it back in his mouth, kissing the top of his head before leaving the room again, letting her baby boy sleep more. After all, the boy was sick. With small steps she went back to Max’s room and closed the door behind her-

-when the reached the bathroom, he placed her inside the tub, putting his hand under the tap to regulate the temperature. When the warm water started to flow, he took off her shirt and tossed it aside, no second intentions, just trying to keep her as warm as possible-
M-Max? -her voice finally came out in a husky, low whisper. She reached for his hand weakly, the hot water making its effects on her body as she slowly stopped shaking and shivering, her members more relaxed now-
I’m here, Cal, I’m here. -he said, still panting and letting the last of his slow tears fall down his face, while his hand held hers as if he was never letting go of her.Â
-she tired her best to pull him into the tub while focusing on breathing. She wanted to make sure he was okay. She wanted him warm and safe. And, of course, she missed him- C-cold…
-he managed to get in the tub with her, turning off the tap as there was enough hot water for both of them- Shh, not anymore. -he held her body close as he had been wishing to do for the last few days, still nervous from all the recent events-
-Cal curled up around him, tears slowly running down her cheeks and falling against his chest. He was cold, but she didn’t want to let go of him. She just wrapped her arms around him as best and tight as she could and buried her face on his chest, breathing deeply and slowly-

-his conscience started to come back and bit by bit he heard the sound of her voice. He managed to hold her arms, his fingers pressing against it desperately- C-Cal? -he mumbled once again, attempting to open his eyes, but failing-
I’m here. We are going home. -she said, reliefed by the fact that he was finally awake, but also nervous with all the situation. Cal looked around and chewed on her bottom lip- How do I get this thing back to the shore, Max? Just tell me how to do it and stay here.
-he was trying to wake up, but his body was limited. His mind forced itself to work right and manage to tell her what to do. It took long cold moments before he mumbled again- P-Puff us -he said, his lips even managed to curve slightly in a smile, joking even in the most tragic situations-
-she shook her head no- But you love this boat! -Cal closed her eyes and breathed deeply before looking at him again- Okay, hold on. I’m gonna heal you. -she placed her hands on his chest and allowed her Grace to flow to his body, healing him. After that, she took a few steps back and placed both her hands on the boat, trying not to fall as she focused on taking the boat to the shore with her powers. It was hard, but she managed to do it, wrapping her arms around Max quickly and taking them home. They landed in the living room, Max’s back against the floor and Cal laying on top of him, head on his chest, eyes closed and pale, cold face-
-Max’s conscience faded away to the point where he was fainted. Not even her voice or her touch could bring him back now and the only thing that let it show he was alive was a lingering breath and shivers from the cold that his wet shirt didn’t allow to leave his body. Suddenly, a light began to grow inside him, making the air fill up his lungs. He woke up, coifing water and looking around to realize he was in the living room. Cal’s weight on his chest made him face her, regaining conscience. Her skin was pale to the point it scared him- Oh my God, Cal. -he held her in his arms desperately, his hands sliding up and down her arms attempting to to warm her up, imagining the heat could do her some good- Cal… please… -he repeated, nodding no, before starting to push his hands against her chest, trying what he knew of CPR-
-the pressure against her chest brought her back, eyes opening wide as she panted, desperate for air, and her shaky hands quickly looked for something to hold onto like she was falling. They found his shirt and she gripped tight at it, sitting up a little and looking around before curling up around him, head buried on his chest as she shivered from the cold-

Hey there...
I'm hum Max.
-Cal sits on the couch with Phillip in her arms and sighs impatiently-
-Max is soaked, the rain around him poaring and making his eyes insist on shutting repeatedly. His hearts is pumping faster than the usual but he doesn’t admit it to himself, along with the fact that he has no idea of where he is or how to go back to shore- Fuck… -he admitted briefly, sighing and looking around, trying to find a solution-
-she chews on her bottom lip nervously, not only because she is worried about him, but also because of the fact she is about to see him again. Phillip soon falls asleep and she takes him to his crib-
-the sea moved angrily, making Max tighten his grip on the surfaces of his boat. Until he couldn’t anymore and fell on the floor, hitting his head, but not strong enough to keep him from speaking- Cal, if you can hear me, help me.
-as she leaned down to place a soft kiss on Phillip’s head she heard it. A voice calling for her. His voice. In a glimpse of an eye she put some sort of protection spell on Phillip’s crib and vanished to the source of that voice. She found herself under a storm in the sea, and quickly held onto the first thing she saw, realizing it was Max’ boat. Cal looked around worriedly before screaming his name- Max?!
-Max was almost unconscious. He could only feel the cold giving him shivers and a distant, sweet, known voice calling for him- Ca-Caleigh? -he managed to mumble-
-she stumbled to where she saw a dark silhouette- Max?! Max! I’m here! -she screamed and crouched down to his level, cupping his cheeks-Max, please, talk to me. Please. Say something.
-his conscience started to come back and bit by bit he heard the sound of her voice. He managed to hold her arms, his fingers pressing against it desperately- C-Cal? -he mumbled once again, attempting to open his eyes, but failing-
