Is this blog dead? That's a shame, I honestly really liked the art style and personality you gave Aquamarine.

((I wouldn't call it fully dead. Just more a very very long hiatus. It just became really hard to mantain a consistent schedule with my unmedicated ADHD so I ended up putting it on the shelf.

I would like to come back and update again though. It might be hard since I have no idea how active the fandom is now but I have some ideas still in my head for this blog: Some storylines and comics I never ended up finishing. And I still have plenty of asks to answer.

So not completely dead. I still have some plans for here. <33))

Do you have many Topaz's at the ready. Or do you have just the 2?

“Having many Quartz or Rubies around to do the most mundane tasks was such a breath of fresh air. Having to keep track of what assignments need to be done or how many gems need to shout ridiculous and idiotic questions at you can be so consuming.”

“Hm? What were you asking again? Oh, yes. No, I only had the two Topaz. Unless I’m sent on another assignment where I need protection, or someone to kick in the head, it’s just me.”

"Your clarity! It's an honor!" Navy

Aquamarine stood on the steps of the parting side of the doors to Grand Court Hall, looking at the Ruby standing patiently on the ground floor. Her normal sneer could not conjure itself and she found it hard to even keep up her chin. She lightly gripped the sides of her dress, exhausted and breaking under her own thoughts. It felt like any second now, she would crack under the weight. So much was changing so quickly, it felt impossible to keep track of it all.

“Are... Are you my escort, then?”

She stood herself on her toes, trying to gain just a bit more height in the situation. Maybe it was a comfort, perhaps just instinct.

Gems lined the street so tightly behind the Ruby, leaving little gap for entrance. Even after sundown, many worked diligently delivering or traveling as they were ordered to do. It was back to her office for her today though. And a beryl of her stature needed protection. With so much activity, with the recent escapes and disrupts in the other colonies, not even Homeworld felt safe from the chaos.

topaz seemed really upset. You need to let her go to earth, aqua.

“What makes you think I’ll be taking a trip to Earth again? For Topaz? Why would she..”

“...”

“... It’s not like it matters, anyhow. She’s not under my command anymore.”

“I hope you haven’t all been too worried about me and my sudden absence. I’m sure you understand, with all the new regulations, I’ve been a bit.... Occupied.”

“Business will return to usual. Hopefully.”

“As usual as it will get anymore.”

Hey, aqua... Did you cross another universes, and contacted with the people of that univere?

“What are you asking? If I’ve bended to my whim the fabric of reality and dropped in for a quick hello?”

“... Well, the answer is no. That would be ridiculous. If not momentous. But very ridiculous.”

Do you have friends on Homeworld?

“’Friendship’ is an ugly concept. It’s distraction that takes up valuable resources and time, a nasty little thing that people think they want. You don’t want to be friends with your crew, not when you’re their commander and have to order them around. People think they’re equal when they’re friends, less likely to listen. You also don’t want to be friends with your boss. Then you think you’re entitled to their time and effort, their mercy, their focus. It’s a selfish thing to keep somebody from doing their job just because you want to be ‘friends’ and share some kind of fleeting bond.

So no, I do not have friends on Homeworld.”

“I remember being stationed on a very large ship and there were plenty of Technetiums working daily to keep the ship running. Brilliant mechanics, wonderful with ship engines.”

“Not really. They’re still servants. But all that sparkle and looming Diamond glares do make them seem fancy.”

“... It can be a bit tricky to find sometimes.”

well being shy myself I bet shy gems are quite easy to work with are they not?

“Maybe. Really depends on the gem. They may follow orders better than most but they’re often very... Jittery, if that makes sense. Certainly can’t depend on them in a fight, if one need break out. You know the worst Quartz are the ones too nervous to even throw a punch.”
