OVERKILL is an interactive ISAT fancomic. Vaugarde is under attack by a Theater themed deity named: The Director. A Theater Curse and a Blood Curse attack the lands, and it's up to the Party (who are more fitting to their title roles) to kill them to save the world. But things are never that simple, are they?

Q: What is this AU?
A: Hard mode AU, everything is upped to extremes to the point of "overkill." Party Members fit their given roles; Theater themed villain.
Q: What is the tone?
A: A more intense, grim story. Siffrin's misery is turned up to an eleven. But it still retains the original's comedy and found family themes. There's hope.
Q: What's new?
A: There are two new curses that plague Vaugarde.
1) The Theater Curse, where people become puppets
2) The Blood Curse, where people rot when alive.
A: The King has been replaced with the Director, a minor deity who is actively ending the world.
Q: What Curse do the Siffrins have?
A: Our main Siffrin has the Blood Curse. He's at stage 3 and his eye became nonfunctional due to the Curse. He'll periodically bleed.
His Curse worsens from magic waves or from specific intense emotions. These are more frequent within the Theater Labyrinth (House-equivalent)
Our other Siffrin, "Dusk," has the "ghost" curse, where nobody but a Siffrin can see them.
Q: Who are the other Siffrins?
A: There's the one we follow the story of:
- Dawn (Our playable character Siffrin)
- Dusk (The "goth" loner Siffrin)
- Lupus (The child Siffrin)
- Loop (The unhelpful guide Siffrin)
- Boulder (The dead one under the bolder)
- The Comedy Director (ISAT Bad ending)
- Sunrise (Mirror Dawn)
- The Tragedy Director (Mirror Director)
Q: Do you ship anyone?
A: Not really. I've warmed up to Isafrin, but that's going to be a subplot, same as canon.
Siffrin self shipping is not a thing here, past canon-typical teasing. The Director also uses this is a manipulation tactic, but backs out of it.
EDIT: ok it's gay now. Romance is a subplot but this story involves no romantic dating
Q: Will Bonnie or Lupus ever get harmed in the story?
A: Absolutely not. Only adult Siffrins were harmed in the making of this story.
Q: Can I make fanart? Theories? Analysis etc.?
A: Yes!!! please @/ me!!!!!! tag me! i want to see!!!! While I don't ship things, as long as it's not too suggestive I will reblog it.
Q: Can I use your art for my PFP?
A: Yep, long as it's credited.
Q: Who runs the blog?
A: Starlightshore (Artist/writer) and Pedro Diogo (Co-Director/writer)
Q: What are those Theater Curse tag?
A: Theater Curse and its strains: Comedy Curse, Tragedy Curse, Parenting Curse, Theater Curse etc. are a Curse caused by the Director that mindcontrols its victims to be puppets performing a role.
// Hey good news. I decided to reward the canceling of "hurt director". I realized the difficulty spike of floor 3 is too extreme, so I want to ease things at least a little!
// without spoiling, I want to reassure both Dusk and Dawn will be unharmed from the garden THIS loop. There's still 3 loops until we have to worry about this again, but at least this time things are fine.
// Narrativly I think the threat of the payment is strong enough on its own, so I see no need for it to happen this time. Y'all deserve a win.

(ooc) theory - i remember seeing a theory that mirabelle is under the effects of mind craft, or more likely with the information we now have, a partial theater curse like odile had. perhaps the reason she's remembering loops is because of this partial theater curse - her mind being partially under the director's control means she knows things she normally shouldn't. sort of like how odile started saying "stars;" it's like their minds kind of meld a little bit.
(You're shocked.)
(What does she mean by that?)
(What's there to dislike?)
I don't like her at all. She's an anxious wreck who needs her meds to function, she's a screw up who embarrasses everyone she's around, and she's not a real savior. She hasn't saved anyone.
She's a Housemaiden who doesn't want to change. How could she possibly be meant to be blessed?
(Stars...)
(You knew she was hiding her fears but...)
(You never expected all of this.)
(She can be anxious.)
(She can screw up.)
(She's failed many times.)
(But this isn't over yet.)
I have faith in her.
I have faith in you. I know you'll become brave and strong when it counts.
The Mirabelle I know can do anything she wants if she puts her mind to it.
(She takes your hand.)
(You tense, but quickly ease into it.)
Thank you, Siffrin...
Thank you! For talking with me!
This has really helped. To know I'm not alone in this... that I have people who believe in me...
(You smile back.)
And... you're right! I CAN change! It's not too late!
