{{Previously}} Ruby carefully listened to the instructions Toasty was directing her.  As she opened the medical kit, and reached for the needle and thread, thoughts rapidly raced through her mind.  

What if I can’t do it?  What if I don’t do something right?  What if I accidentally... 

She huffed and shook her head.  There is no time to be thinking like that Ruby!  Okay, I just need to concentrate... After inhaling and exhaling a few times, she picked up the needle,  “O-okay Toasty, brace yourself.... I’m going to go ahead and do it...” As Ruby moved on through the procedure, time seemed to stand still.  Everything fell silent, despite the pained yells of Toasty, and the still ongoing brawl in the other room.  Her heart was beating quickly, and her paws were trembling.  But even though she herself barely made it through, Ruby was able to stitch the wounds.  She sighed in relief.   I did it... I really did it!  But... is Toasty safe and sound?  She studied her patient’s face. “T-Toasty?  Are y-you... alive?” {{ @asktoastythearcanine }}
