I think we can all agree that Hiyama x Yuki is very iffy, but I don’t think these ships are necessarily problematic.
Gumi x Gakupo: Neither of them have set ages, so it really depends on the AU or headcanon

KaiRin and KaiLen: They do, in fact, have canon ages, however, as long as you age them up or place them in an AU where they(younger character) are older, there’s not much to complain.

ill give you gakupo x gumi, for me though the thing is a lot of people portray gumi as being underaged (16-ish usually), so its a lil bit of a grey area. ill give you that though.
HOWEVER, just because luka and miku aren’t 12 years apart doesnt mean its not pedophilia, and just because its not “”“"as bad”“”“ as other pedophilia doesn’t make it okay? like miku is 16 which is still underaged while luka is 20. if luka was 18 i personally wouldnt be okay with it but at least itd be somewhat understandable? but theyre 4 years apart. thats a really big difference when it comes to maturity. and honestly im sorta annoyed that just because their age gap isnt super huge its okay to ship them??? like its basically the same thing as shipping a 14 year old with an 18 year old. which is rrreeeeeally gross
now on the subject of aging characters up… frankly, its gross and lazy. just because its an ”“"au”“” doesnt mean anything? because the characters are still canonly 14 years old. you’re literally just saying “hmm…… i really like this ship……. but everyone thinks its morally wrong….. so ill just change the ages so i can get away with it.” its like when someone thinks an undgeraged character is attractive (yikes) and thinks to themselves “man…. if i draw nsfw of this character when theyre 15 like they are in canon everyone will think its so gross…. but if i make them 18… itll be okay….” because to even decide to do that you have to be attracted to an underaged character in the first place
so tl;dr: ill give you the gakupo x gumi thing because they dont have canon ages, but everything else mentioned is 100% valid.

4 years is generally not considered pedophilia. 13.3 percent of heterosexual age gaps are in between 4-5 years apart while 20 percent is between 2-3. According to the 2013 US Current population survey. 4 years is in between the area of 33.3 percent of the marriages. So I am fairly certain that 4 years isn’t necessarily a problem is society today.
If you place both their ages above the 18 years old mark, the 4 year age gap isn’t even a problem anymore.
About aging up. I see where you are coming from where the “Aging up AU.” Most horribly lazy (and pedophilic) people will see a nine year old girl and slap on the “she’s 18 so it’s okay!” excuse. Obviously that’s not okay. What I’m saying is, if you do proper research into the age group you are setting your characters to be, it shouldn’t be a problem. Make the characters look and act like they’re the age you set in the AU, and all is well. There shouldn’t be a fuss over this.
I am definitely against the use of “18 year old” small children in the use of gross disgusting acts.
an age gap of four years when someone is a minor is a lot larger than when someone is an adult. if miku was 20 and luka was 24, it wouldnt be an issue at all. but since miku is 16 and luka is 20, its really gross. you wouldnt see a 14 year old dating an 18 year old because the level of maturity would be on such different levels. and if you want to make miku an adult i guess thats fine or whatever but its still sorta obvious in this specific case that youd be doing it only so you can ship here with luka without it being considered pedophilia, and in my opinion thats sorta sleazy.
and i guess if you want to age up a character for specifically plot-related reasons, like for example: Len's 20 years old and runs a flowershop and has to deal with adult things such as making rent, palying off student loans, etc., then its fine. but even if you do it "realistically" even with all that plot stuff just to ship him with kaito because its "okay" and theyre both "adults," its still really obvious that the only reason hes an adult in this situation is to be shipped with kaito, and the two of them being shipped in any other situation would not be okay. also, if you dont age up kaito the same (or at least almost the same) number of years you age up len, it makes it seem even more sleazy than before. but of course why would you make kaito 30 years old? a 30 year old dating a 20 year old is sorta gross, right?
please understand that i get what youre saying, and youre not wrong for certain aspects, but when you age up a character thats canonly a minor for the sole reason of shipping them with a character thats an adult, its always a bad idea.
