-AU INFO-
The Amazing Digital Circus is one of the first virtual reality computer games! Despite going through a... rough point in development, It finally was able to hit the shelves! But right before this, a virus had found its way in and corrupted Bubble, leaving Caine without an assistant... but not for long!!
Now, both Caine and Pomni run the Circus! The rest of the cast Join players during adventures. Other than that, things are relatively the same...

After helping Caine destroy a virus that got its way into bubble, she stepped up as his assistant! Little to Caine's knowledge, however, she plans to use this for an opportunity to find an exit...
[VOZ]
A shared project Caine and Pomni are both actively working on. A small simple AI meant to bond with the players. But he seems to rather prefer his "family." They don't quite mind, though.

The Head Ringmaster of The Amazing Digital Circus!! The AI who started it all!! He was thrilled to find out the game would finally release!! Most of the others... not so much...
Bored and tired so here's a few facts/headcannons (can I even call it that??) for Ring-Misstress because BOY, HAS IT BEEN A MINUTE-
Voz was originally supposed to only speak in binary code. You could see this in old posts here and from the old blogs. I imagine now, though he can speak full sentences, he does use it on occasion. Like a secret code of sorts.
Another one based on ancient posts, Caine loves to sing. He's a showman, of course! But these performances are usually private. He doesn't really enjoy doing it in front of people as much as he used to. But, if she's lucky, Pomni might get to listen to a nice gentle tune while they work...
Both Pomni and Caine were very torn on whether or not to explain his existence, but with some convincing from Pomni, they eventually agree to tell him what he really is. He doesn't seem to take it too bad...
Alot of their early days pre-game-launch were spent getting feedback from Pomni and the rest of the humans, leading them to refine and reuse some old adventures! (Might do a one-shot sorta focused on this idk...)
As you know, I started this thing well before episode 5, so continuity errors are present. For one, being a supermarket accountant was not Pomni's Last job. You can take the errors as a fact that it's an au, but who knows I might rewrite this a second time. Or the first few chapters at least.
That's kinda all I have, or can show y'all at least for now. Buuut the blog is still open to questions!! @askthe-r-m-au
I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things, so expect the next chapter soon! (I started it months ago it's been rotting in my drafts🥀)
Ive been thinking, and I think that the song "Right Hand Man" by Heidi Blickenstaff fits the dynamic of pomni and Caine in a way. Pomni trying to help and Caine wanting her to just let him do it and voz or someone else going like "Hey, you should listen to her she's usually right-"

CnP start some small talk when fixing code and bugs around the circus (pre Ring-Misstress) and actually realize they have a bit in common!

Some stuff happened in my personal life and then I lost motivation for a while, BUT I got out of my writers block and wrote this in two days so eat up B)
Erm soooo I had this fic idea for a while now (since episode 3 to be specific) but I wasn't sure if it was gonna be in R-M or just to do it for funnies, BUUUUT Valintines is a bit closer than I anticipated it to be so why not start writing it now?? If all goes to plan, this should be out by then!!
I made a showtime fic last year for Valintines, too, but please, for the love of all that is pure, do not read it-

Couple's Therapy - a TADC (pre R-M au) fic!!
Caine just didn't understand. For the past several days, he'd been met with these uncontrollable glitches. There was that conversation with Zooble, then during the Spudsy's performance reviews, and it just kept going south from there.
He attempted to hide this from the others to the best of his abilities. The last thing he wanted was to worry all of his friends. Especially his closest-
♧Hello... Caine? Are you in there?♧
His thoughts were interrupted by a bright red glove waving in front of his eyes. He turned to his side to see a familiar jester, looking concerned, but still forcing a smile.
☆W-why, of course, my dear friend!! Why do you ask?☆
♧We, uh... we already fixed that wall. You've been staring blankly at it for the past... five minutes? Give or take?♧
Pomni pointed towards the wall. The ringmaster broke eye contact for only a split second to glance at the wall, then back at her.
☆Well, I- ...waaaas just doing a thorough examination of the area!! If we miss so much as one teensy flaw that WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD-☆
The ringmaster paused mid sentence.
☆...I mean... I just want things to be perfect for everyone!! Especially you!☆
♧Uhh... thanks. I... just want to make sure you're okay. I... care... about... you. Yaknow... that's how the whole friend thing works, right??♧
She forced a giggle, pushing herself away from Caine, fidgeting with the button on her outfit with every word.
God, she was bad at this... Hopefully, he'd buy it.
♧Weeeell then I'll see you tomorrow, I guess? Night, Caine.♧
The Jester fled to her room. Caine had barley managed to get a word out at the end of that conversation.
☆O-oh... Goodnight Pomni!☆
As the ringmaster started toward his office, he couldn't help but realize...
Since when did he overheat this much??
He put a glove to the side of his bottom Jaw. That conversation with Pomni made him burning to the touch... was this another glitch?? It didn't seem like any usual one... Whatever it was, he needed to figure it out. Luckily, he knew just who to confront about this...
Ever since their first therapy session, Caine and Zooble had come to a mutual agreement. Routine therapy sessions in exchange for skipping (most) adventures. Being the only human to have seen Caine at his most vulnerable, they also agreed to keep his glitching problem a secret.
Or so he thought.
Meanwhile, in Zooble's room, them and Gangle sat and drew together. Gangle enjoyed having someone to hang out with in her pastime. Zooble enjoyed her company as well. Unfortunately for them, this peace didn’t last to long until a familiar toothy fellow invaded their space.
☆ZOOBLE!! Boy, am I glad to see you!! I was wondering, if you weren't busy, we could... haaaave a completelynormalconversationnotrelatedtomentalhealthorwellbeing?☆
Upon seeing they weren't alone, he reworded his sentence.
◇...Another therapy session? Uh... sure.◇
Gangle looked up from the art she was drawing.
~Would it be alright if I come to? I promise I won't be a bother...~
The ringmaster's tone of voice became stern (with a tinge of embarrassment)
☆Wh- I- ZOOBLE!? I thought I told you no one else was supposed to know about-☆
◇Relax, We promised to keep this between us, right?◇
She hummed and nodded.
~Mhm! Besides, I uh... already knew...~
Caine Stood confused for a moment.
◇After the Spudsy's performance reviews..? Ring a bell?◇
It certainly did. The ringmaster let out a sigh.
Well, Gangle does seem to handle important matters very well, and she and Zooble were rather close, so...
☆...I suppose that's fine. Besides, I think having extra help this session may be beneficial.☆
~How so?~
☆Well, why are we just sitting around here?? We need a better setting for this!!☆
He snapped his fingers, forming the area around them into the therapy room. It was exactly the same, exept for an added bean bag chair.
Gangle immediately eyed a small note pad on a shelf between her and Zooble. Upon further inspection, there was a little doodle of a bee. She looked up at Zooble, who shrugged back.
☆So, here's the deal-io...☆
The ringmaster clasped his hands together.
☆As you already know, I've been more prone to these... odd glitches recently. Well, now, I've been overheating more often, which is... new, to say the least.☆
◇...and... when's the last time that happened??◇
Zooble went along with it, despite how obvious it was that they were so done with it.
☆While working with Pomni this evening.☆
Gangle chimed in
~Oh yeah, the bug patching? How's that been going?~
☆Oh, Pomni? She's been a thrill to work with! Really great at what she does! And...☆
The ringmaster leaned his "head" on one arm. He soon slowed to a stop, feeling a familiar warmth as his hand touched his bottom jaw.
☆...might be the cause for these glitches...☆
Both the porcelain mask and amalgamation of plastic had unreadable expressions. Buy they were likely thinking the same thing.
How the &#@% are we gonna explain this to this idiot-
Eventually, Gangle spoke first.
~Well, uh... actually, for humans, that can be kinda... normal.~
☆Normal, you say?☆
Caine sat on his knees, interest peaked, listening intently.
~Yeah..? That can happen if- uh... for example, Zooble and I-~
The three were interrupted by a certain someone gnawing at a nearby wall.
☆B-BUBBLE!! WE JUST FIXED THAT ONE!!☆
The ringmaster quickly got up to remove Bubble from the area.
☆Uhm- it seems like our little meeting will have to be cut short!! Goodnight!☆
And with a snap, they were both gone. Leaving the pair in silence.
Ive been trying to start writing the fanfic but I'm having so much trouble starting it! So, I wanted to ask, what is an activity Caine and Pomni do together as a couple? (For example: baking, drawing, pottery, board games, etc) Would you rather have it be just the parents or include Voz as a family activity?
Also: any details you want me to include? :>

An activity they would do? Definitely drawing! (Whether it's just the two of them or with Voz is entirely up to you!)
Also, I'd like to note that the only ones who Caine openly talks to and knows about the glitches are Gangle and Zooble. (Again, if this doesn't work with what you're making, it doesn't have to be that way. This is your take on things, after all)
not really a prompt or request but hear me out...SHOWTIME AU ANGST. (Get ready for a long ask lol)
Caine starts to catch feelings for Pomni, and Pomni starts catching feelings for Caine. After a while, they finally confess to each other and kiss and get together (yippee). What Caine doesn't tell her is that everytime he kisses her or says "I love you" or shows any kind of romantic affection, his systems scream at him to stop and it hurts to do it(aw man). He loves her so much that he ignores it and doesn't tell her so she doesn't feel guilty. He starts to glitch and break more and more as the weeks go by. After a confrontation, he reveals what has been happening, and Pomni is DEVASTATED by this since he could get deleted. She tries to distance herself for his sake, but he keeps going to her and ignoring her warnings that he might get hurt. At some point, the glitches are so bad that he can barely move. Laying on the floor, he asks to see his love one last time before he is deleted. When she gets there, he looks at her and says, "Don't cry, it's not your fault. AI like me was never allowed to love as much as I love you, but I don't care. You are worth that risk. I would do everything the same if I could stay with you." With that, he reaches to cup her cheek one last time and is deleted gummigoo style by his own systems crashing into themselves. Pomni weeps from the cold feeling of dread until she realizes that she is the new head Ringmisstriss. She can't bring herself to tell voz, so she says he went on a trip to space. That he'll come back when he is older. She tells the others what really happened and they comfort her, Jax doesn't say anything but he stops pulling pranks and bullying her for a while.
