Tears welled up in his eyes when she leaned away and started yelling at him. “W-why are you so mad at me, Mama? Don’t you l-love me anymore?” He immediately burst into heartbroken sobs and buried his face in Crim’s shoulder.

"Let me go or so fuckin’ help me—" Pretty much empty threats.

He suddenly smiled and sat down in her lap, playing with her hair. “It’s okay. You’ll be better soon… won’t you, Mama?”
