Ken Sugimori: I created Sawk and Throh based on an oni, a common yokai in our Japanese folklore. Both their colored skin are common color to the oni and have a parallel to the gen 1 pokemon, Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee. Their horns were replace with eyebrows because I didn’t want to clash with two of the three Forces of Nature. Which they were originally red and blue. So what you think?
