I was born a poor country boy in Espanola - New Mexico, had an abusive mother... but a loving Grandma and aunt. Then I was moved to San Pedro, California, at six (for 3-4 years). Finally, I ended up in Long Beach, California (for the better part of 38 years). All the while, I became a bi-product of my environment... got into trouble, drank, and did a copious amount of drugs to the point I was so lost and in incredible pain. Even though I owned a mortgage company and was earning a ridiculous amount of income, living on the beach, I decided to write the story of my life when I stopped drinking and doing drugs. We all have a book that's waiting to be written. Our lives have great value. Over this past week, the performance of Asleep (Drifting) Book One has stunned me. I've worked had on this Asleep Series for years (maybe I shouldn't be so surprised); I'm so thankful and grateful to all the readers, my wife, family members, friends...everyone, My Grandmother Charlota, My Aunt Betty, and most of all to My Creator. If I can do this, anyone can. Write your story, either on paper or on the landscape of life itself. Love, Robert Paul.
