Now we are going to talk about the most common types of hair extensions that you can choose from if you are planning to use hair extensions soon.
1. Tape Hair Extensions. This type of hair extension is the most common type that people use. This type of hair extension is easy to install and does not require frequent visits to the salon for any adjustments. The tapes of these hair extensions are glued to the side of your natural hair with the use of heat. This type of hair extension usually lasts for many months if handled with proper care.
2. Fusion Hair Extensions. This type of hair extension is the most expensive hair extension procedure. However, it requires no maintenance at all after being installed. The hair extensions are fused into your hair with the use of adhesives like keratin and glue, although keratin is safer to use. The process can take up to several hours but it can last for four to five months with proper care.
3. Weft Extensions. Hair weft extensions can be done in two types, hand weft, and machine weft. Machine weft extensions are stitched closer to the tip of the hair while hand weft extensions are closer to the head.
4. I-Tip Extensions. This type of hair extension is done by latching onto the natural hair with the use of flattened microbeads or metal cylinders. I-Tip hair extensions are individual pieces of hair that are used with a cylinder piece that will interloop around the human hair of a person.
5. Seamless Tape Extensions. Now, this type of hair extension is also known as skin weft extensions. This type of hair extension is very light and unnoticeable. This is highly recommended for girls who have very thin hair. This type of hair extension can last for around one or two months before it needs changing or re-applying.
