The last art you posted got me thinking. Does Shadow Milk consider himself blueberry cream cookie's mother or father? Also, what does she call both her parents when she learns to speak?

For me I can see him going back and forth on it and just basically being both, but probably more on the father side

For Pure Vanilla: Dada

For Shadow Milk: Papa (And maybe Mama on occasion)

When she gets older they'd probably both be dad (and again mom occasionally for shadow milk maybe)

so.. I have a crk oc with half his face burnt.. how does that work? do I draw it black like an IRL cookie burn or do I make it human like since scares are like that..? I need help I'm so confused 🙏

I had to think about this for a bit cause I don't think we have any cookies with burn scars (tho there are many characters so I could easily be forgetting someone or missed them)

There are many cookies with small scars, both lighter and darker than the character's "skin" tone but I don't believe any with burn scars

I'm more of a visual person so I decided to cookie-fy one of my old oc's who has burn scars to see what looks best

I think unfortunately my answer is- it depends

I kind of like the darker to almost black scar but I think coloring it the same as an actual scar works out fine as well, I think it depends on the color palette of your oc and how much time you want to spend on the scar (for example I used the noise and spray brush in the first image and I like those better but I can see someone getting tired of drawing that if you want to draw the character many times.)

At the end of the day it's your oc so I would go with what you like best and what you have a better time drawing them as

My suggestion for official cookies to maybe look up for references to help you decide would to be to look up both Eternal Sugar and Mystic Flour pained sprites since they are both burned (one being fire one being electrical)

And for ones not burned but who have different skin that can be used as a reference look up Onyx Cream Cookie, Mold Dough Cookie and "White Lily Cookie...?" (from when she was half n half, that's the name they used in the wiki)

Otherwise my suggestion is to draw your oc then duplicate/copy them and then test out different ways and colors for the scars and then compare them to see what you like best

I've talked about the brushes I use and how I color but I'll go a little more in depth here cause why not (I'll just link the color line tut here tho)

I use Clips Studio Paint and I use the default brush Turnip Pen on a vector layer

I try to make sure to use a relatively large brush since the crk style uses thick lines. However I use the adjust line width tool if it's too small or big, I also use said tool to thicken up different spots like some edges. (top of a cookies head, edge of clothes, just whatever is sticking out a lot really)

Things like eyes and their chins I tend to do in a thinner line and fill in with colors rather than one large brush. I do this just to have more control over the details and sometimes a big brush can't get the shape or sharpness correctly (eyes and chin are what I always use thin brushes on but if there's small or a lot of detail I'll do it for that as well)

I don't really ship her with anyone no

idk if Blackbell would adopt a child, kind of a mixture of I do like the ship but as I've said in the past it's not a sturdy ship for me and also I just feel like Black Sapphire already has his hands full with Candy Apple (I still view their relationship as siblings but also a dash of much older sibling who takes care of the baby but they do still bicker like siblings)

Hello, I’m trying to practice the Crk art and I absolutely love how you draw them! I want to ask on what kind of brush do you use for your art?

I actually answered something similar to this a little bit ago (was part of the question) so I'm just going to copy paste that part of the answer

"The program I use is Clip Studio Paint and almost all the pens I use are just the default brushes in CSP. For sketching I use the Design Pencil and for line art I use the Turnip Pen. For coloring when it has a texture (or a gradient) I use one of the default Airbrush tools, Spray and Noise being one of the most common ones aside from Soft."

Probably not a good parent per say, feel like no matter what he'd still be the "fun dad". But over time maybe he'd be a better parent (like more present and more caring, at least in his own way)

Him being a good parent would probably be questionable...
