Character & World Building

Asphodel Flood could trace her family line all the way back to Ireland when they were still the MacTuiles, before they anglicized the name. The MacTuile wizards served as hereditary physicians to the muggle O'Connors of Galaway until the Great Potato Famine had them scrambling for survival. Thos Flood chose to try his luck in the new world. He landed in New York, but prejudice against the Irish pushed him further inland until he heard talk of Dusk Hallow. He quickly packed up his belongings, what few he had, and sought out the town. After that, the Floods never left.Asphodel left the idyllic little town just long enough to attend the Salem Institute. She pursued Spiritual Studies, but her true loves were Potions and Charms. She finished school a full fledged medium and returned home to take over the historic Four Knocks, a potion and charms supply store.

**Four Knocks is named for a passage chamber tomb in Dublin that was built about 5000 years ago.

**The asphodel is a flower that is a relative of the lily. It is an ingredient in the Draught of Living Death and the Wiggenweld Potion. It was believed to have been the favorite food of the dead and was often planted around their graves. Mythology says it was sacred to Persephone.

**Asphodel supports several magical societies.
