Happy New Year, everyone. Fingers crossed that 2026 is a better year for us all.
People on Twitter just pissing me off for understanding jack and shit about Dustin and how people experience loss and trauma.
a) PTSD can and does manifest as anger.
b) No, Dustin did not know Eddie for "just a week" Dustin had known Eddie since he started high school, which means they had known each other for just about a year, 8 months most likely.
c) Ages 13-15 are EXTREMELY important developmental years. That adolescent development got totally fucked by witnessing Eddie die in his arms.
AND D) His grieving process has been completely interrupted by everyone hating Eddie. He can't properly move on because he's stuck trying to move on from a person that no one is showing sympathy for, in turn, no one is showing sympathy to Dustin which means he's not being allowed to grieve properly. He is stuck in square one.
He's grieving, and he's traumatized. Maybe that's something incomprehensible to someone who hasn't experienced that grief, but it's comprehensible TO ME! Dustin Henderson I will always defend you.
We all relate.
To anyone that hasn't heard the sad and terrible news, James Ransone had sadly committed suicide. An incredible actor who will be sorely missed by family, friends and fans. He was fantastic in The Wire and IT: Chapter 2.
R.I.P, James 💙
I hate how fast paced the internet made our lives and how it's actively ruining fandom spaces
"Oh I can't be in this fandom, it's literally 5 years old! Obviously no one participates in it anymore"
"Oh will it be weird to comment on a post that's a year old already? Surely that'll annoy the op"
"It sucks that the author haven't updated their creation in months, surely they abandoned it"
I'm gonna skin you alive!!!!!!!! Old things deserve as much attention and love as "trendy" and new things do! Art doesn't fucking have an expiration date!!! Old fandoms are alive and well ONLY because people continue actively engaging with every piece of content in them no matter how old it is! If you're just going to be moaning and groaning about it instead of supporting the creators in your fandom it for sure will die faster!!
PENNYWISE (played by Bill Skarsgård) in IT: WELCOME TO DERRY
Literally no reason for him to do this but I love him for it
Pennywise with Dick Hallorann:
"Nobody who dies here ever really dies"
There was a tribute to Joan Gregson at the end of the IT: Welcome To Derry series finale. It was her final role.
This part KILLED me
when pennyside started singing and rizzing around the stage kicking a human head like a football:
when pennywise woke up in his bed w/ flawless make-up, super confused screaming he was a god and devour-er of worlds whilst choking a guy:
when pennyside was playing the tuba and tapping his foot in time with the rhythm on his magical self driving circus carriage:
when he was giving his big villain speech whilst lmao-ing and drooling:
when he said "i never forget a smell":
when he said "lively crowd":
Pennywise became the literal Pipe Piper of Derry!
