still pissed that there’s a lot of moderation problems on this website (neonazis, horrific culture of coercive/guilt rape, etc), and there are a lot of potential solutions, and they decided to just blanket attack artists who depict nudity instead

this doesn’t even confront the standard abuses of male-gaze pornography, because a large amount of the content that’s going to suffer is stuff that doesn’t have a home on a website like pornhub - what’s going to be hurt is small artists who are doing creative, sometimes sexy sometimes body positive sometimes feminist ART

i definitely encourage people to remember that yahoo will make advertising money as long as you use tumblr, and that they aren’t handling any of the really dangerous problems with their social media platform with real moderation
