Rest In Peace, Angel the chihuahua. This photo looks the most like you. When I saw you get hit by a car today, my heart stopped. I ran to you and you were still breathing. Two strangers stopped in the road, too; one with a cardboard box and the other with a garbage bag. I used the bag to gently scoop you onto the cardboard so we could carry you on the makeshift stretcher. You rode with me to the hospital, and passed quietly into the next world. Just watching you breathe made me love you. You didn't have a micro chip, a collar, or a name, so I gave you one: Angel. Perhaps you did belong to someone and right now they are wondering where you are. If so, I wish I could tell them to their face that we did everything we could. I wish I could tell them I'm sorry. I wish you would've lived so that I could've kept you. I'll always love you, Angel. And when your ashes are returned to me in a box with your name, I will keep you and honor you and you will never be in pain again. Love, Taylor -- the pre-vet student that happened to be driving by this morning on the way to class. 💗 #rip #angel #restinpeace #illalwaysloveyou #love #prevetstudent
