@asprator
plotting call.
edwardian kaspbrakus
hands clutching your chest, lungs heaving as you do whatever you can to catch your breath. it’s failing. the air seeingly without reach as you lay upon the soil. eyes are locked on bill’s a sort of desperation - a scream for help. shaking hand reaches out, grasping tightly onto his arm, pulling yourself up to a sitting position as you continue to struggle; gasping for air that never came.
“ i’m going to die, bill! i can’t fucking breathe. ”
@fisthrust
eddie idolizes bill. he really puts him on such a high pedestal. really considers him like a hero.
sonia kaspbrak is a clear example of having munchausen syndrome by proxy. meaning that constantly fights for attention by bringing eddie for medical treatment for conditions and symptoms that aren’t necessarily present but ones that she makes of or exaggerates. people with msp often over-exaggerate symptoms, lie about symptoms, try to even alter medical tests to prove that something is wrong or to even go as far as trying to induce symptoms by giving their children something to make them sick or harming them. we can see this a lot in canon material where sonia is constantly bringing eddie to doctors to insist that something is wrong with him, even giving eddie medications and an inhaler for an asthmatic condition (that he doesn’t even have).
it’s all of this manipulation and brainwashing that’s gone as far to convince eddie that he actually has these issues. that he mess asthma and other conditions and that he does require an inhaler. in the book, there’s a part where we can see that eddie’s inhaler doesn’t even have medicine in it - it literally has a water based mist.
all of this and the constant pressure and coddling by sonia can quite literally push eddie into developing munchausen syndrome into his teen years and adulthood by worrying more about his health and insisting that something is more than it seems. along with this producing an anxiety disorder and slight case of being a hypochondriac.
