Lily had moved to the states after she was dissmissed from the army when she was badly injured in combat . She was not currently working she was more just enjoying the new country and exploring the neighborhood.

She was currently waiting in line at a small coffee shop she found and once she ordered she sighed when there was no empty tables . She took her coffee and walked over to where there was a spare table. " Emmm hi excuse me , do you mind if I join you or are you waiting on someone " she asked him her slight Scottish accent shining through .

Aaron’s eyes fell to the beautiful women in front of him, a small smile threatening to be seen

“not at all, please sit” Aaron says softly, moving some things out of the way and pulling her chair out for her, like the gentleman he is.

Spencer's day was going pretty good Aaron was being really cutesy and sweet towards him. He wondered if Aaron liked him in a romantic way or just like teasing him. Spencer liked him in a romantic way but that was besides the point he could never tell Aaron that.

Spencer was really excited he volunteered to buy everyone's lunch. He was especially excited because he chose taco Bell to get all their lunches at. He decided to take the SUV that everyone uses. Everyone uses it but Aaron had been using it most lately.

He got his thermos of coffee his keys and his satchel. When he got out to the he SUV something was feeling off a dozen or so red flags was popping up in his head for some reason.

He decided to set his thermos down and start the SUV by standing on the outside of it. He's stood a few steps back reaching in making sure his face wasn't inside the SUV and started it up.

The SUV exploded causing Spencer to fly backwards through the air. he landed in a setting position hitting the back of his head hard against the glass of the door.

The ringing in his ears was intense not to mention the pounding headache and everything seemed to be in a tunnel. Spencer didn't know what was going on but he didn't like it.

It was like he was in a total daze he couldn't get his mind to work and he hated it. He honestly didn't know if he could get up or not he was just staring forward. His satchel still on his shoulder.

Aaron was sat at his desk, continuing with the paperwork but his mind was somewhere else. All he could think about was Spencer, he wanted to have something more with him but he didn’t know if he felt the same. He hadn’t felt like this for a long time and it scared him a little.

When he hears the explosion he instantly sprinted out of his office, looking around to see no spencer, that’s when he remembered that spencer was going to taco bell. He ran his phone many times, to his disliking and worry he got no reply. When the agent told him one of the suvs blew up Aaron didn’t realise he was running down towards it until he was at the entrance scanning around trying to find spencer. When he eventually found him he was instantly next to him, holding pressure on his head as it was bleeding quite bad. Aaron instantly ordered people to get a medic, his mind and heart racing as he looked to a barely conscious spencer laying in his arms.

Spencer carefully picked up Aaron and carried him into the waiting room shutting down in one of the chairs and placing him on his lap.

Spencer gives Aaron a gentle kiss laying his head against the side of Aaron's head.

Derek sits next to Aaron and Spencer.

"Baby are you sure your ok waiting with me until we hear some news?" Spencer asked softly

"Just some bruising and some bone bruising he'll be fine in a few days." The doctor said aa Spencer got out of the wheelchair and wrapped his arms around Aaron kissing him

"Also Wonderboy please keep talking to Aaron to try and keep him calm." Derek said softly keeping his eyes on the road.

"I will and I appreciate you guys coming and getting me even though I hurt myself. The unsub is in surgery right now. I don't know if he's going to make it or not. But I do know he is connected somehow with Penelope's EX. So I'm really hoping this guy makes it just so I can get information off of me. If he doesn't make it I'm going to feel really bad not for killing him but that I didn't get the information. I know that probably sounds horrible but the guy tried to kill me." Spencer said winching again

“spencer you did what you had to do and there’s nothing wrong with that, everything’s going to be fine, we will figure everything out and it will all be okay we just have to put our minds to it! We aren’t far away” Aaron says a little faster than normal.

"Spencer you're doing good man. You are also being a damn good leader and I'm proud of you. You know the reason why they chose you right? They chose you because they figured you would fail but you're proving them wrong and I'm proud of you." Derek said softly he knew that's why they chose Spencer but up until now he didn't want to say anything.

But Aaron probably figured the same thing.

"Spencer will probably about five minutes out. Traffic is light and we're almost there just stay in that room with the nurses and till we get there. You also let them treat you no matter what they say okay?" Derek said softly

"Derek do you really think that's why they chose me? Then what happens if I do mess up. I mean I'm going to try my best but now I'm kind of scared. I'll be right here when you guys get here I promise." Spencer was starting to ramble a little bit.

“you won’t screw up spence we all believe in you”

Aaron reassures sweetly.

"I wonder if Spence knows how good a shot he really is. To be able to make the shot even with his gun messing up. Aaron you're the other one I know that could do that I mean you're a great shot. I am too but I think it's my gun would have messed up my shot would have to."Eric admitted as a pulled into the hospital parking lot he parked in an emergency room spot putting up his permit.

“he’s a better shot than I am Der that’s how he did it ! the way he analyses things in a way i can’t helps everything” Aaron says softly as he jumps out of the car and rushes inside to Spencer.

"Dr Reid we would like to get an x-ray of your arm." The nurse said quietly

He got his thermos of coffee his keys and his satchel. When he got out to the he SUV something was feeling off a dozen or so red flags was popping up in his head for some reason.

He decided to set his thermos down and start the SUV by standing on the outside of it. He's stood a few steps back reaching in making sure his face wasn't inside the SUV and started it up.

The SUV exploded causing Spencer to fly backwards through the air. he landed in a setting position hitting the back of his head hard against the glass of the door.

The ringing in his ears was intense not to mention the pounding headache and everything seemed to be in a tunnel. Spencer didn't know what was going on but he didn't like it.

It was like he was in a total daze he couldn't get his mind to work and he hated it. He honestly didn't know if he could get up or not he was just staring forward. His satchel still on his shoulder.

When he hears the explosion he instantly sprinted out of his office, looking around to see no spencer, that’s when he remembered that spencer was going to taco bell. He ran his phone many times, to his disliking and worry he got no reply. When the agent told him one of the suvs blew up Aaron didn’t realise he was running down towards it until he was at the entrance scanning around trying to find spencer. When he eventually found him he was instantly next to him, holding pressure on his head as it was bleeding quite bad. Aaron instantly ordered people to get a medic, his mind and heart racing as he looked to a barely conscious spencer laying in his arms.

"I got you baby boy I got the lights on just try and breathe for me okay? Will be there soon I promise." Derek said pushing the gas pedal down as far as it will go picking up a lot of speed with the lights flashing passing everyone in sight but doing so carefully

"Also Wonderboy please keep talking to Aaron to try and keep him calm." Derek said softly keeping his eyes on the road.

"I will and I appreciate you guys coming and getting me even though I hurt myself. The unsub is in surgery right now. I don't know if he's going to make it or not. But I do know he is connected somehow with Penelope's EX. So I'm really hoping this guy makes it just so I can get information off of me. If he doesn't make it I'm going to feel really bad not for killing him but that I didn't get the information. I know that probably sounds horrible but the guy tried to kill me." Spencer said winching again

He got his thermos of coffee his keys and his satchel. When he got out to the he SUV something was feeling off a dozen or so red flags was popping up in his head for some reason.

He decided to set his thermos down and start the SUV by standing on the outside of it. He's stood a few steps back reaching in making sure his face wasn't inside the SUV and started it up.

The SUV exploded causing Spencer to fly backwards through the air. he landed in a setting position hitting the back of his head hard against the glass of the door.

The ringing in his ears was intense not to mention the pounding headache and everything seemed to be in a tunnel. Spencer didn't know what was going on but he didn't like it.

It was like he was in a total daze he couldn't get his mind to work and he hated it. He honestly didn't know if he could get up or not he was just staring forward. His satchel still on his shoulder.

It was like he was in a total daze he couldn't get his mind to work and he hated it. He honestly didn't know if he could get up or not he was just staring forward. His satchel still on his shoulder.

Aaron was sat at his desk, continuing with the paperwork but his mind was somewhere else. All he could think about was Spencer, he wanted to have something more with him but he didn’t know if he felt the same. He hadn’t felt like this for a long time and it scared him a little.

When he hears the explosion he instantly sprinted out of his office, looking around to see no spencer, that’s when he remembered that spencer was going to taco bell. He ran his phone many times, to his disliking and worry he got no reply. When the agent told him one of the suvs blew up Aaron didn’t realise he was running down towards it until he was at the entrance scanning around trying to find spencer. When he eventually found him he was instantly next to him, holding pressure on his head as it was bleeding quite bad. Aaron instantly ordered people to get a medic, his mind and heart racing as he looked to a barely conscious spencer laying in his arms.

Elle woke up with a slight blush on her face. She realized she had been sucking on his thumb.

"Aaron I'm sorry about that I guess it comforted me a little. Also thank you." Elle wishpered softly

“it’s okay Elle there is nothing to be sorry for, whatever comforts you and it’s what i’m here for” Aaron smiles down to her.

Elle sighed sitting up hugging Aaron

"I hate feelings ya know." Elle chuckled

"Oh uh here comes a confession." Penelope teased sitting up giving them two a little bit more room.

"Aye yes a confession kinda. I've been having bad nightmares for a couple months. Mainly because the way the police man attacked me. Ugh ok nope I'm not going to bring this up and worry you guys." Elle sighs

"Hey we are family so you gotta." Penelope said ruffling Elle's hair making her laugh

“we’re here for you whatever you need tell and you don’t have to tell us anything if you don’t want to, whenever you’re comfortable we are here to listen whatever you need” Aaron smiles softly, kissing her cheek sweetly as he hugged her tightly against him.

Elle relaxed a little bit and just laid against him.

"So shortly after I was shot I was evicted from my apartment. Something about me being a magnet for violence. Like excuse me it's not like I invited him in." Elle sighed a little.

"Aaron I'm sorry I was such a bitch to you and I never thanked you for cleaning my apartment. So I found another apartment in a bad section of town. First day there I stopped a mugging broke a kids arm to make him drop the gun. One of his friends hit me from behind almost knocking me out. This strange looking guy who smelled like pasta helped steady me took me to the hospital. That was my first official meeting with David. I threw up on him!" Elle blushed and giggled at the memory

"Not the first or last time he's been threw up on." Penelope giggle

“it’s okay Elle, what’s happened has happened, there was no need to thank me for cleaning your apartment it was the least i can do! Penelope you aren’t wrong on that one” Aaron chuckled softly

"So I had a mild concussion nothing serious but Dave babysit me all day and night. He talked me into working with the police. Once I started to help them rid some of the drug dealers it wasn't that bad of an apartment. I actually stopped having nightmares for a while. Doing undercover work was great until I went into the police chief's office one day. He tried to put the moves on me and I hit him I thought that was the end of it." Elle rubbed her face

"About a week later I go into my apartment and I was grabbed from behind. I tried to fight but he had a knife to my throat. I forgot David was bringing me over some pasta for dinner that night. David walked in to see the ski masked guy on top of me. David slammed him against the wall and made him run away. I mean I worked with the guy for a couple of years then he just attacked me out of nowhere if it wasn't for David. Then the nightmares started again." Elle clung to Aaron tightly

“im sorry Elle, you don’t deserve any of this at all” Aaron whispers softly, placing a soft kiss to her forehead comfortingly.

"David tried to get me to call you guys from the hospital. But I was too scared the only two people well three people I talked to doing that time was David Jessica and Jack. Jessica brought Jack to see me a few times. I was just to play you guys to be mad at me to welcome me back or anything." Elle cried into Aaron's chest

"Elle we never stopped loving you. We never will." Penelope wishpered softly

“it’s okay Elle, we all love you and we’re all here for you! you’ve been a better parent to Jack than i’ve ever been so thank you” he whispers softly.

"Aaron I want you to listen to me I never want to hear you say that again. You protected that kid so many times and gave him nothing but love. You are a good father do you know who he told his online class many of times who his two heroes were?" Elle asked softly making Aaron look at her

“I know but i could’ve done more Elle, there’s always something more I could do! but no i don’t know” Aaron said softly.

"Aaron I wish you could freak out the way Jack and I see. No you're not perfect no one is. But you and Spencer are that child's heros. He once type a fifteen page report detailing what you and Spencer do on the job. Not only did he get an A on it he had it his teacher had a published in a magazine that displayed young authors stories." Elle told him.

“he’s a smart kid” Aaron smiles “thank you elle” he whispered.

"Jack gets his brains from you. You know that right also it feels right bring back with everybody." Elle smiled she watched sage walk in god he was beautiful in a dorky sexy way.

She watch him get out the bowl of chili pigs in the blanket and macaroni and cheese.

Elle couldn't help but stare which made Sage blush a little.

"Sir would you like crackers and cheese for your chili? would you perhaps like catch up or mustard for your pigs in a blanket?" Sage asked shly

“im happy you’re here Elle” Aaron smiles softly

“anything’s fine Sage thank you” Aaron says sweetly

"Also sir Agent Morgan wanted me to ask you if you wanted Pepsi Dr Pepper cherry Dr Pepper or Sprite to go with your meal." Sage asked softly

Elle tried to hide the fact that she was checking Sage out

Aaron chuckled as he watched Elle never take her eyes off of him

“sprite will be good thank you Sage” Aaron smiles sweetly to him.

"Yes sir ladies what would you like to drink?" Sage asked with a smile.

"I'd like a cherry Dr Pepper please." Elle said softly

"I'll take the same as her sweetie and thank you." Penelope said softly nudging Elle a little

Sage smiled and left the room

"Elle we saw you checking him out don't deny it." Penelope giggled

"I guess maybe I was he is cute. He's also adorably awkward." Elle giggled hiding her face in Aaron's chest

“that’s true” Aaron smiles agreeing with Elle as he kisses her forehead softly.

"It's like having first year Spencer all over again." Penelope giggled

"I'm actually really glad he's here. Aaron thank you for everything and thank you for not rejecting me when I told you I loved you." Elle said softly kissing Aaron snuggling up close to him as she started to eat her chili.

Sage came back with their drinks

Derek came back with Sage's plate of food and bowl of chili.

"Hey sage your eating in here with us. So Spencer called seems like the roommate attacked him. He's ok and he'll be home soon." Derek said softly

“how can i reject you when I love you too” Aaron smiles sweetly.

He happily took his bowl from derek as he smiles but the smile faded when he heard about Spencer.

“Is he okay? do I need to go and get him? omg I shouldve gone with him” Aaron says frantically as he hears how Spencer was hurt and he wasn’t there to help him.
