@Sieffre
So, as Sieffre said, he would listen to him. And he did listen. And kept listening. And, well, he kind of nearly fell off the branch at the end- but he was fine, it was good, he was okay. No problems here. No problems at all. His eyes didnât widen and he didnât metaphorically rush into Leeâs arms or anything- because first, he wasnât a girl, and second, he was immune to Leeâs sappiness. Side effect of living with him and knowing him for like- what, nearly two years? Had to be. No other possible explanation.
Now, what Sieffre did do- he did shuffle along the branch closer to Lee. How long had it been since heâd heard his last name? Sieffre took the ring first- at least he knew what to do with that- and slid it on his finger. It was thin, it wasnât gaudy, Sieffre looked at his hand and found he actually liked it. Well- he liked a lot of stuff Lee had, this must be no exception. The feather was a little harder. He took it from Leeâs hand, and twirled it around between two fingers, before sliding it underneath his hairtie. ItâŠ.was used as an accessory, right? Right.
"âŠ.yeah, okay."
For all of Sieffreâs guts and shows of bravery and recklessness, he didnât think he had the courage to look at Leeâs face at that exact moment.
Never in his whole life had Lee been as happy as he was to hear the words ââŠyeah, okay.â. He had to resist chuckling when Sieffre put the feather in his hair, though. While even he had no idea what to do with the feather, he didnât think it was a hair accessory. It looked good on him, regardless. Anything blue looked good.
Instead, he just grinned and pulled Sieffre to him, hugging him and letting out a laugh. Goddess, he was so happy. He hugged Sieffre tighter, their balance on the branch wavering but he steadied them. He was just ecstatic. âI love you, Sieffre.â Lee would say it over and over just as he had been before, only this time itâd be to his fiance, then husband.
Sieffre didn't understand how Lee could be so happy without any- "oh, yes, and I'll never leave you, ever!" or something on par with his sappiness. Maybe he was just easily pleased. And the moment Sieffre had affirmed that yes, he was going to marry the sap, Lee pulled him close, and- and Sieffre wrapped his arms around him tightly and buried his face in Lee's neck, and blushed all the way to his ears as Lee said- sappy, dumb things that, that he couldn't really quite resist, couldn't get over it every time Lee said it. Dumbass, dumbass, dumbass, dhjwejherjuhreurebrrrrggggh, being in love was- was tiresome at time, it really was, he almost wanted to cry, he was, he was-
And for all of Sieffre's boastful masculinity, there may have been tears. Happy tears- not quite at getting married, but more akin to- he, he wasn't- he'd found a new home and someone to love and he was never going to have to think of his old life. Never.
@Sieffre
Sieffre watched Lee climb with a great deal of unconcealed amusement. Lee hadâŠwell, he wasnât quite on the branch, but Sieffre let it slide out of the goodness of his heart and the fact that Lee had nearly fallen on the way up. âPppffft, alright, alright, youâre up. Good job, I guess.â He smiled and shrugged, âEven if you nearly fell down. SoâŠ.youâŠ.needed to talk about something?â Lee didnât usuallyâŠ.need to seriously talk about anything, much lessâŠseek out Sieffre for it. He made him work for it, Sieffre would hear him out.
Lee nodded and shrugged his shoulders, just now feeling the nerved hit him in the gut. But then again, what was Sieffre going to do, say no? Like thatâd happen. Theyâve been through too much together to even think about backing out.
"Right, I did say that." He inhaled, then let it all out. "Sieffre, you know I love you. I say it plenty and I show you my affections whether you want them or not. And, as much as you sometimes hate to admit it, you love me too." He stopped to smile a little at that. There were countless times when Sieffreâs stubbornness kept him from admitting his feelings, which were always amusing times for Lee. "Weâve been together for a long time now, and even if you think Iâm a dumbass, Iâm your dumbass. Youâre stuck with me.â
Lee sighed, his neck starting to ache with his nerves building up. âWell, what Iâm trying to say here, is that I want to stay with you. Forever. As long as youâre breathing and I am too, I want to be with you. I want to stay by your side, and I want you to be by mine. Iâve fallen in love with every aspect of youâ every moment we spend together.â By now, Leeâs cheeks had turned pink, and not just from the cold. âI love waking up with you by my side. I love cooking breakfast and lunch and dinner with you. I just⊠I love you.â Lee reached into his jacket and pulled out the ring and blue feather.
"I- uh- I didnât know which one youâd prefer, so I got bothâŠ" He looked Sieffre in the eyes and his cheeks turned red. "Sieffre Katirci, will you marry me?"
So, as Sieffre said, he would listen to him. And he did listen. And kept listening. And, well, he kind of nearly fell off the branch at the end- but he was fine, it was good, he was okay. "Enjoying the scenery. Itâs nice, I guess. Inside felt a little stuffy." His breath condensed in the air, and he turned his sight towards the forest bordering the town. "Whatâre you doing down there? Canât handle the cats?" He probably needed Sieffre to corral them into a room or something. Something like that.
Lee bit his cheek and narrowed his eyes at Sieffre. âI bought those heaters so the house isnât freezing.â He sighed and rolled his eyes. âThat and we canât find the thicker blankets⊠Not my fault, though.â It was obviously his fault, since he was the one who put them somewhere in the past, but that wasnât really what was important now, was it?
He looked up at Sieffre in the tree again and shrugged. âYou know I could never handle those cats myself. I could barely handle the asshole cat.â Lee pushed his own bangs from his face and smiled a bit. âI actually came to talk to you, like I said earlier.â
"I know, I justâŠ.mm, whatever. Iâll go home soon." Sieffre sighed and looked back down at Lee, "Yeah, yeah. What are they doing now?" ButâŠthe second part. Lee sounded like what he had to talk about wasnât cats, because heâd start ranting about it by now, definitely by now. "Come up into the tree to talk- youâre young enough to climb, arenât you, Lee?" Sieffre snickered, gesturing for Lee to sit beside him on his branch.
"âŠâŠ." Goddess damn it. Lee didnât really want to climb a tree in the middle of winter, but if it meant Sieffre would actually listen to him speak, Lee supposed it wouldnât be as bad as he thought.
So, he sighed and made his way over to the tree, making it up with a bit of effort (and almost falling once). He took his seat leaning on the tree, both legs hanging on opposite sides. At least he could look casual-ish in the tree and not worry about falling down.
"There, Iâm up." He stuck his tongue out at Sieffre and then chuckled.
Sieffre watched Lee climb with a great deal of unconcealed amusement. If Lee had merely looked up, he would have saw the very man he was looking for, watching him and smiling smugly, because Leeâs dumb and he was right there, god. And there the older man was, making a fool of himself. âLee.â Sieffre grumbled, moving further out on the branch. He could only hope and pray that, if Lee could not see, he could hear, and then see, see Sieffre haughtily looking down on him from above. âRight here, asshole. Youâre so loudâŠ.jeezâŠâ
Lee smacked his own forehead. Of course the asshole was in a tree. âWhatever.â He looked up and Sieffre with a raised brow. âWhat are you doing climbing trees in the winter, anyways?â He kept his hands in his pockets and just waited for a response.Â

@Sieffre
A few days had passed since Lee had visited Ameliaâs stand. That gave the teacher plenty of time to piece together his words and come up with a clear and thoughtful proposal for his boyfriend. However, when the time had come for Lee to finally pop the question, Sieffre was nowhere to be found.Â
So, here Lee was, trudging about in the snow with both the feather and ring inside of his jacket, looking for his beloved. Of course, he had no idea where the fuck he could have gone, since he hated the cold so much, but Lee intended to find him and propose, no matter what. Today was the day and there was nothing to stop that.
Why was Sieffre outside? Good question. Heâd taken the time to put on coats and scarves and boots and such, and go outside in the freezing cold, and apparently he wasnât anywhere Lee had checked, which was any reasonable place a person could be. Though, Lee never thought reasonably anyway, so Sieffre took great joy in watching Lee trek around, from a very high branch in the tree in town square. Lee would search and search, and Sieffre would be enjoying the view and the snow on the branches and the mere five minute trek back to warmth. Go on Lee, go on with whatever youâre doing. Heâll just wait here.
Lee grumbled to himself about the things he did for love and tightened the scarf he had around his neck. It was too fucking cold to be outside. He had just gotten some space heaters, too, to keep the house warm and run up the electricity bill. Wait, did they even have bills around here? Lee didnât remember receiving anyâŠ
The teacher just huffed, a cloud of white coming from his lips. He looked around and sighed. âSIEFFRE, WHERE ARE YOU? I HAVE SOMETHING I WANT TO TALK ABOUT.â Okay, that will either make Sieffre hid even more, or bring him out. Hopefully, the latter.
If Lee had merely looked up, he would have saw the very man he was looking for, watching him and smiling smugly, because Lee's dumb and he was right there, god. And there the older man was, making a fool of himself. "Lee." Sieffre grumbled, moving further out on the branch. Settling In
Finally pushing the desk into a space he liked, Arnold stood up straight, stretched his lanky arms out wide, and nodded in content. He finally got everything in place! Yeah! Hell yeah!Â
The old police station wasnât anything to write home about, literally - it was somewhere between the most stereotypical police station imaginable, and a haunted house. After moving all his stuff into his new house in town, heâd taken to sorting out the office, and well⊠it was still nothing much, but he still felt somewhat accomplished. It looked cleaner, at least. And heâd shifted around the furniture like some kinda demented feng-shui expert to try and make the place feel less empty. Regardless, even if it was something short of cosy, heâd have to make do - it wasnât going to be easy being the only policeman in this tiny town. Maybe he should write to get them to call someone else inâŠ
"⊠Damn."
He fell into the chair behind the desk, and thought about his life here. He was gonna have to meet a lot of new people, and get to know them, like they do in little towns and stuff. Though that might just be on the TV. Most likely. Itâs not like heâd ever lived in such a small place before, so it was all new. He decided it was best to feel confident about it, to be optimistic and just push forward with his head high. Yeah. He could totally do this.
He crossed his arms, and nodded again in satisfaction, before standing up and smiling to himself. Letâs do it!
"The lawâs in town, baby!"
Boxes and boxes, piled outside the Police Office. Anything new was a sight in Silver Town- and if Sieffre didn't want to die of boredom, he'd roam around for a good part of the day, hike through the forest a little- anything to ease boredom. So obviously, if something changed- well, how could you miss it?
Ugh, though....he wasn't exactly on good terms with law enforcement or whatever. There was Leon, and that was enough of an explanation. But to get in trouble (maybe), or waste an hour doing something that would be at least a /little/ interesting. Whatever, he'd behave. He pushed aside some boxes, and pulled open the old door. Jeez, he'd never been in here before, it was fucking old and...actually, kinda dusty, too...
"Is there anyone in here?" Sieffre called out, looking around. If they weren't, he'd just track them down. No loss to him- in fact, it sounded like a day fulfilled. Even if it was a little pointless.
((Happy New Years, to all of you!))
@Sieffre || Snow?
"My death will not be in vain." The younger grumbled, now trying to burrow under the duvet. And then. The sound of tiny, high pitched mewls from what could only be the demon spawn of the asshole cat who had left its spawn with them, and fucked off for hopefully forever. One of the kittens was pulled up onto the bed by Lee, Sieffre found another one trying to climb up the duvet by using its tiny claws. Before long, all four of them had found their way to the bed. Was there no warmer place in the house? Was the heater broken? Fuck, he didnât know.
Lee looked at all of the kittens. He could still never tell which was which just by looking at them. He didnât care enough to pay attention to the details. He just knows that they named them after curse words, and if that wasnât beautiful, Lee didnât know what beautiful was.
One of the kittens meowed at him and he made a face at it. âWhy do we even have these. Did we buy enough cat food, by the way? I feel like we forgot.â Lee moved one of the kittens out of his way as he snuggled back into Sieffre.
"Asshole cat spawn. You'd leave cats in the cold? Kitten cats?" Sieffre questioned, "Jerk. We have enough food for them, I got it last week. Get used to them." The kittens clambered over the bedspread for a little, but it was obvious the warmth was under the covers, so Lee would have to deal with pushy felines curling up against the two of them. Of course Sieffre wouldn't- he wasn't the one with the cat issues in the household. The kittens were cute, and he was, of course, the one to name them.
@Sieffre || Snow?
Of all the ways to feel, there were three Lee hated the most: Hungry, Lonely, and Cold. Of course, when it was winter in Silver Town and the whole place was covered in a blanket of snow, there was really no way for Lee to avoid feeling cold.Â
Still in bed, the blue-haired male grumbled and pulled his lover closer to him, trying to hopefully gain some more body heat. Lee was even wearing a shirt to bed, nowadays, it was so cold. He nuzzled into Sieffreâs neck, since it was warmest there. It was just far too cold to his likingâŠ
Did someone say blanket of snow? Oh, no, I think they mean something like one and a half fucking feet of snow. Waking up, Sieffre severely regretted doing so. Sure, they had a duvet. It was nice, thick, and fluffy. But it was now about 10 degrees colder in the house- fuck, what was with the heating system? Did they have a heating system? Did they have a fireplace? Fuck. He was definitely not getting those heavy blankets out of the linen closet. Lee was awake now, it seemed- likely heâd done something to wake Sieffre up. âThe fuck are the blankets,â He croaked, âWhere are the fucking blankets. Fucking wanna light a fire in this bed, fucking, fucking freezing-â
Lee grumbled at Sieffreâs whining. âShhhhhhut upâ Theyâre in the closet. You know that. The rest are downstairs.â However, Lee held onto Sieffre still. What can he say, the kid was warm as hell, and he surely wasnât going to let himself get all cold again. âHow much snow is outside?â Too much, most likelyâŠ
"I donât want to get them. But Iâm cold. I hate winter. You get them." He clung onto Lee, trying to absorb as much body heat as physically possible. Wh- oh, fuck. He was wearing a shirt. They should have gotten the blankets, he knew they should have, god. "Too much. Far too much. Everything is canceled and Iâm never leaving the bed again until Spring."
Lee groaned again, this time truly expressing his distaste for the cold. âI agree. Weâre never leaving the bed until someone lights the house on fire. Even then, weâd probably stay just because itâs warmâŠâ He sighed, warm breath tickling Sieffre.
Behind him, Lee heard a soft mewl and he rolled over enough to look at one of the kittens trying to jump onto the bed, but being too short to do so. He noticed it was shivering and sighed, reached over, and pulled the kitten up, then resumed his position against Sieffre.
