my father just told me it is not illegal to be racist and I was the one being duped and should look further into my references because i cannot comprehend why he, a man who raised two daughters, a man who stood steadfastly loved my mother a strong, powerful woman would vote for a vile racist xenophobic sexist mother fucking cheeto. That hilary was in such a violation of our nation’s safety...more so than a man that has unleashed the hate of repressed white supremacists in our country. While i tell him of my friends who have been followed home by trump supporters telling them that he will make their VERY EXISTENCE illegal.

at least i am getting this at face value...i have friends who’s family members explicitly lied TO THEIR FACES about their vote...in complete ignorance of the danger they were casting upon their queer or POC child.
