The mental gymnastics required to go "this character who overcompensates masculinity, gets flustered when put in a dress, calls himself a chicken fetus in an egg, is jealous of the nonbinary character's ability to change their body, has a girly-looking room, was abused by his mother for not being masculine enough, told her something personal that caused her to laugh at him and degrade him, blushes upon wearing a hair bow, goes to a queer bar in the real world and has a dysphoria hoodie, and is associated with a song about the birth of a baby girl, isn't a closeted trans girl"

At this point it's not even about “different interpretations" it's just denying what's in the text just because Jax didn't turn to the camera and say "I am a trans woman" because Gooseworx thought the viewers were smart enough to figure that out on their own. Do you think she implied this for shits and giggles?

sometimes u headcanon a character as a sexuality but then also ship things that contradict that. sometimes you ship things you would NEVER EVER want in canon. this is because these things are fun and silly and not legally binding.
