Nothing happened other than me getting scared shitless

Did have to make polite small talk as I lead us back towards civilisation, my legs turned to water and I was so scared I couldn't actually hear what he was saying which made trying to seem calm a lot harder (he was asking me all these questions and I kept going "huh?")

He allowed me to step away for a second to talk to the cleaning guy outside the mall, who immediately called security (thank God) and unlocked the entrance door so I could go inside but I don't know what I would have done if he didn't let me go

All this to say I've been looking up what self defence tools are legal in the UK and NONE OF THEM are

Non-lethal self defence items are classed as "offensive weapons" in the UK

So if I had been carrying pepper spray or any such thing and used it to defend myself against this guy or a guy like this, the police could have arrested ME

What the fuck else are you supposed to do in this situation? I am not big or strong enough to physically fight someone if I need to, I am maybe 5'7, on a good day, I'm not on testosterone and I'm disabled

I was alone for 20 minutes because I decided to walk the long way back to the car, I was out with family and I felt like an idiot after this happened which made me so mad, because I literally didn't do ANYTHING other than not assume danger for 20 fucking minutes to enjoy the weather
