My main fic Iām working on, though I do mostly write Azurido focused works :3 though this one will have them as a ship but not the main focus!

AWWW AZURIDO PILLOW FIGHT!! Thatās so cute to think about them like doing their little bedtime routines together when one of them makes a joke and the other throws a pillow at them in retaliation only for it to full on escalateā¦
No more Azurido merch until I finish Chp 6 of DLBIA guys. I must lock in and this is the only way.
I keep thinking about Azurido and the thought of them like not ending up together actually makes me sick. Espically when people talk about them dating and then breaking up like no they need to stay together for my own sanity š itās probably for the better they arenāt canon in the game becuase if they ever broke up Iād die I thinkā¦.
Im working rn but i must write this down, Azurido begrudging sparing partners to lovers trust.
They both want to let off steam but canāt go full out fighting others due to thier power as the fight ends far too quickly, and neither wants to ask a third year housewarden. So they bergrudingly fight eachother, no talking just quick exchanges where they know they had a bad day and just need to let it out in battle.
Slowly though it develops into something more as each day they start to vent their troubles both physically and with their words, bringing them closer together and making them each find they enjoy the others company.
They realize they go to eachother now, not to just let off steam but becuase they genuinely want to see one another.
Then one afternoon they meet together as always and both confess their feelings mid spar, causing them to both falter in battle but end up together in the end.
Awww dream riddle and Azul awww so cute aw aw aw aw aw. And they can pair with actual Azul and riddle tooā¦ Anyways I might need to stop buying azurido merchā¦.
I wonder if Azurido was dating before book 7 would they maybe be included in eachothers dreams? I know the dreams are based on what the dreamer like wants but almost superficially, never having anything wrong with them. Itās just kind of funny to think about Azul somehow ending up in Riddles dream through dream logic of āoh I moved from the Coarl sea or somethingā and heās apart of Riddles band or whatever but of course itās not really him, just a dream to keep Riddle trapped.
Becuase if you think about it even though he wasnāt their orginally at that point he mightāve made such an impact on riddles life that him not being their would cause him to realize the dream.
Same with Azul, sure he hates the land and people from it, expect for his boyfriend of course.
Idk if this would really work out Iād just find it funny if they somehow ended up in eachothers dreams and saw these diffrent versions of themselves through their partners eyes, itād be kinda funny.

I feel like when Azul would eventually meet Riddles mom (theyād try to hide the relationship for a while but itād eventually come out) heād do his best to match her expections, atleast to get the heat off of Riddle. Of course heād rather berate her for being such a terrible mother and giving his boyfriend a bad childhood, but he understands thatās not what Riddle wants, so heād play along.
I feel like heād play the role of the perfect bussinessman boyfriend who, like her son, does simmilary well in school, and wants to date/marry Riddle only out of the sheer encmonic and social benefits of having both a future successful business man and future doctor together.
Riddles mom, would find this wonderful. Besides the fact she might be a bit against the lack of any biological kids, but she could overlook that fact for the other benefits.
Riddle Howver would be watching this whole encounter go down, trying his best not to laugh as Azul describes himself as a āhonest, benevolent soul just trying to make the world a better placeā knowing Azul quite literllay overblotted over his shady contracts. As well as him describing his successful business endeavors such as the monstro lounge and how he and Riddle keep eachother in check knowing that mutiple times across the past few weeks the two of them have torn themselves away from their work just to go on walks or little cafe dates in town, the complete opposite of what Ms Rosehearts would want.
Overall the meeting ends with Ms Rosehearts being thoroughly impressed and praising Riddle for finding āa suitable suitor that heād learn to love like she did his fatherā meanwhile Azul is just rubbing his hands together manically at another successful con.
Then as a final screw you to Ms Rosehearts the two of them stop by the Clovers bakery and Azul buys Riddle a whole strawberry tart, as well as one to bring back to NRC. They sit in the bakery and eat together, laughing about just how clueless his mother is to how much their relationship is based on love, rather than opportunity.
Imagine if Azurido went on an ice skating date when winter arrives and the many ponds around and on campus have frozen over.
Azul is struggling the entire time because walking was already hard enough why are people on land inventing things such as flying and skating???
Riddle, meanwhile, is quite good at it, as itās my personal mini head canon that Mrs Rosehearts would be open to more physical activity as Riddle got older to strengthen his magic. While she would still be very against any real fun I feel like sheād be open to things such as dance or ice skating as itās active and the going through steps and flowy feel of it matches the grace needed for spell casting. Thus riddle probably tried a managutuide of things, ice skating being one of them, and one he enjoyed a lot. Iām guessing heād be sad to find their wasnāt a club for it at NRC but he still greatly enjoys equestrian club.
Combined together itād be a funny situation of Azul staying near the edge and holding on to any stray tree branch or bush as support while still falling every so often, trying to figure out how he was supposed to face this 3rd version of movement on land while riddle just smiles at him while doing all sorts of tricks.
In the end though I feel like after showing off a bit (because they are rivals still after all, and competing with each other is their love language) Riddle would slow down and help Azul, holding his hands and teaching him which way to move his feet to effectively glide across the ice. Soon after, because Riddle is a good teacher and Azul is a quick learner, heās able to escape from the edge and the fear of slipping and falling face first. The two of them then go out to more of the middle hand in hand Riddle guiding Azul and supporting him when he falters.
However, eventually because Azul really canāt get the hang of it that fast, he falls into Riddle who for a moment had let his guard down, leading the two of them to fall on the ice. Instead of Azul being embarrassed at his own failure like he normally would and Riddle being mad at being messed up the two of them just laugh it off, enjoying the closeness before they eventually move their way back to shore to go inside and drink hot coco.
They also have cute matching hats and ear muffs because I say so.
Im actually writing this fic now because the thought consumed me (im sorry DLBIA Iāll come back trust im just expirencing writers block, i must go to where the motivations lie) and tell me why i didnāt think of the fact that in order to write this Iād have to know about ice skating. I have ice skating probaly a total of three times in my entire life and all of them Iāve been just as bad if not worse as I described Azul beingā¦ I must do some research in order to make Riddle teaching Azul accurate but maybe next time I should make them go on a day of soemthing I actually know how to do š

Normally Iād just make up whatever goes best for whatever pre-relationship fic Iām writing but now Iām writing my first ever already established relationship one and Iām likeā¦ kinda stuck ā¦?
Both of them seem to stubborn but Iām kind of leaning more towards Riddle cause he can be more open with his feelings, besides the fact it would take him a while to reconginze them as what they are. Azul on the other hand I feel would be maybe afraid of rejection? Honestly Iām stil not too sureā¦
Kinda random but I keep seeing a lot of IdiaxAzulxRiddle posts and it kinda got me thinking about my own views on shipping.
Like normally Iām a monoshipper for both Azul and Riddle (I love Azurido way way way way way way too much, no hate to other shippers though, to each their own) but for some reason I really donāt mind, and sometime enjoy both of them with Idia, or even better all together?
Like something about him with them just makes me a bit more of a multi shipper if that makes sense?
Azurido is still my otp of course, but those three together are very intrestingā¦
Idk if anyone has read that one GL manga āthis monster wants to eat meā but I was revisiting it recently and it kinda has Azurido potentialā¦
Hinako as Riddle would work well, espically if we kept his mothers strict upbringing but now amplified with the guilt of keeping up her rules after death, or joining her to be together with her again.
And then Azul as the mermaid of course, saying heāll protect Riddle until heās āmaturedā enough into a good mealā¦
I donāt know where it would go from there honestly, as the manga itself is still unfinished and idk where the two main characters relationship is going to head but I have my theoriesā¦ read it if youād like itās good.
You know I really want to make refs to my other fics in DLBIA (WIPS or posted) cause I already try and make refs to canon stuff that has happened, so itād be fun to add those in as wellā¦
The one issue, however, is the fact that most of my other fics take place after book 6 for the azurido convenience of their bondingā¦ which is an unfortunate timeline line up considering the fact that the whole point of DLBIA is the fact that Azul does NOT survive to that point. I kinda feel bad every time I work on a different wip for them because most of them are actually relatively tame like aw theyāre hold hands and tell each other how much they mean to one anotherā¦ then DLBIA is just genuine doom and despair (well at least itās looking to beā¦ slow burn azurido this time around)
Guess Iāll settle for canon stuff now, adding my own spin on things of course. After all what is a person if not their memories?

I desperately want to write an Azurdio hanahaki au but I have a billion other azurido WIPs I need to work on (and DLBIA) but Azul coughing up roses and being confused on why and who (very oblivious to Riddles last name literally being ROSEhearts) is calling my nameā¦
Maybe Iāll write a bit as a little treat when I finish Chp 6 of DLBIAā¦
