Yumi was never good with words, or expressing her feelings. Granted she could blame her mother for that, if she wasnât suppressing her emotions or being the obedient daughter she wanted, there would be consequences.Â
But⊠even if it was in her own unique, grouchy way. Yumi was trying. She cared for him, even if she couldnât express it right.
ââŠI donât care about gifts!â
She grit her teeth. Yumi wasnât materialistic, never had been. As far as she was concerned, gifts were empty apologies. Her mother did it all the time. His presence was more than enough. Wasnât it?
It was almost.. unconscious.. tears, tears were running down her face..
âWhatâs the point of a gift..â
   ââŠIf we arenât sharing it?â
maybe she got the wrong idea? he knew she didnât care about materialism, or his money. in truth he only got them simply because he thought itâd make her happy, the snacks for when she wanted to eat and clothes in case she wanted something new to wear. things he thought sheâd like if they went out on a date. maybe he went about this the wrong way? he felt bad about leaving, he wanted to take her along, he really did. but he didnât expect her to drop what she had here to go with him. she had her own life too, he couldnât take that away.
blue eyes looked down, he felt bad and wasnât sure if he could ever make it up to her. âiâm sorry, yumi. iâm lousy, arenât i?â he didnât care about how his fans felt, they all cheered and loved him, but that really meant nothing compared to his love for her. approaching her, he wrapped his arms around her, âand youâre right. i can blame my greediness, all i want is to show you off. but, i donât expect you to leave to go with me, i canât force nor make you when you have your own life.â he paused as he moved back to look at her, hand raised to cup her cheek, wiping her tears away.
a soft smile coming to his face after, âif it helps, i got us couple shirts?â wanting to make her smile the very least.
