* it’s okay to sometimes not feel like your kintype

* you’re a multifaceted person; you don’t always feel intimately, intensely connected to other parts of your identity and your kintype isn’t any different

* so long as you’re sure of your identity, and you still identify AS the kintype, it’s fine to have periods with no / few shifts

* some people NEVER shift (conversely, some people are constantly shifted and the intensity fluctuates)

* stressing over it and trying to force shifts is a bad idea because brains are very suggestible

* it’s common for otherkin-feels to settle down (but not go away 100%) after a few years as you mature

listen, i know people get a lot of shit for it cause it’s “popular”, but here’s the thing about finding your kintype. wolves are a common default, and have lots of ways to connect to by the resources we have. a lot of people are unsure if they even are kin or not, and just say “i’m a wolf” for relative ease as they learn more about what they may be. listen yo, i said i was a wolf for like 2 whole years until recently i revisited the thought and did some research, online and into myself. after two years of saying i’m a eurasian wolf i learned i’m actually a fox, either red or cape fox. (note i know i’m saying it like i physically am but that’s not how it works just bear with me.) it takes time to learn these things and find who you are. so don’t be afraid to say you’re a wolf. whether or not you are, you aren’t any less than other therians and otherkin. ❤️️❤️️❤️️
