Sorry to break it to you but they REEEEEAAAALLY emphasize that the two worlds being connected is NOT a good thing. So when the Dark Fountain is closed the connection is severed forever.

The annoying dog made an exception for Frisk to render both games defunct for Gaster. That means no Player access anymore, and not being able to go back where they came from. Otherwise there would be a risk of the Player (you) gaining control again.

So no. They can't see each other anymore. It's a bittersweet ending, but a necessary one for the good of everyone else.

Well first of all I’m depressed now

Second of all, this actually gave me a semi sweet headcanon that frisk makes a “grave” in some quiet part of hometown to kind of cope with losing Chara and their original universe

Not saying implying they regret leaving or anything, just thinking about how when your mind and body gets used to a place or person for a long time, you start to feel the sensation that you miss it, even if you were in a worse state before.

Ig I like to imagine that this grave is their quiet reminder that they will never see Chara or their original universe again. Not sure if this delivers a happy or sad feeling, but I hope in conveys a sense of acceptance.

I have this oc that I wanted to give the “low/no empathy” trait to. I wanted to represent them as a good person while also not trying to gloss over the way they perceive things. Issue is I can’t really research disorders or lifestyles with this straight without the mention of crime, manipulation, possible murder, etc…
