Honestly? Off the top of my head not really? This is not to say that I don't love using song lyrics for my fic titles when applicable LOL i just haven't wrote a fic inspired strictly by a single song before. But if I did write one.... maybe Silent Cry?

The fact that ive had readers say im their comfort author is already the highest compliment ngl 😭🥹 but i think i want my fics to be an escape, a momentary distraction to take your mind off of whatever is bothering you atm

So I have another potential long fic in the works rn that has been slowly coming along. But also I really wanna make more "Just Like a Fairytale" content soon, too. I had several new ideas for it recently that I jotted down so I'm feeling very inspired atm :)

Since I already used "A Soul for A Soul" on the last ask, I'll say honestly "Talk of the Kingdom" its been rotating in my head for a while now and I wanna share it sooo bad.
It's the Fairytale rendition of Kingdom and ughhh it's good and I want to see people's reactions to it

Hmmmm its hard to verbalize, but I mean, I generally like my style. I enjoy my own fics and I think thats important, and it brings out emotions in myself and it seems to make others feel things too and thats always the biggest win in my book is to have my creations cause emotions

Honestly just ones im super inspired by, plot wise, and multi chapter fics! I used to not finish my multi chapter fics that i wrote so now having finished more than one im very proud of myself.

He had just seen Jisung snuggled up to you, a random stranger. If they were actually an idol group, you understood how suspicious that probably looked.
The tall omega, Hyunjin, glanced over his shoulder. “What? She smells incredible.”

Ok so I have brain worms about the fairytale crew doing water game shows or just going to the beach or pool for a day, and everyone having an absolute blast in the water.
Obviously on game shows they tone it down but when the cameras are off and it’s just them? Full forms are coming out.
Dragon Chan lazily floating around, everyone else using him to lay on and sun bath or to jump off. If he’s in a big enough body of water, he flips onto his back and spreads his wings all the way out, using them to keep up right and looking like an otter
The weres chasing each other on solid ground and getting soaking wet, just so they can run up to someone and sake like crazy. Poor Minho is their usual victim while he’s just trying to relax in the shade.
Jeongin is so in his element, full siren out and speeding in the water all around Chan. He playfully coos and croons to “lure” his fellow team into the water.
You, Felix, and Hyunjin look for “shinies” along the beach. Filling up buckets and running away from the weres when they decide it’s your turn for a shake.
Jisung is usually spread out on Chan lounging with Minho, looking super hot. He trips the pups with his tail she they run by him more than once
*ahem* this scratched my brain so much that you just unlocked the beach episode-
Summary: "Wait, your family has a private beach?" Felix asked, eyes sparkling with excitement.
What better way to spend some time off than getting to be your true selves at a beach that could only be accessed by the air?
It was gonna be a great day!

You could count on one hand the amount of times you’d been to the beach before, and honestly, you’d never been able to go in your faerie form.
There were some creeks you loved swimming in growing up near your home, but it wasn’t comparable to the beach. They were two totally separate entities!
So when you all went to Australia as a group for the first time and found out that Chan’s parents had a private beach.
Well -
Meeting his parents had been a fun experience. You were a bit anxious at first, sure. You wanted them to like you, because Chan meant a lot to you (and everyone in the group).
You had nothing to be worried about, though. They were so sweet and welcoming. Jessica, his mom, had even insisted on hugging all of you upon first meeting.
“You can call me eomma if you want,” she told you all seriously, smiling. “I promise to take care of you anytime you need it, too.”
They were great. You loved hanging out with them.
BUT, back to the beach.
The second the group had found out, you’d all (most of you all) begged to go.
Chan groaned playfully. You knew he wanted to go to the beach, too, but he wanted to put up a fuss just to tease you all. “I don’t know guys…”
“Come on please,” Jisung begged, hands clasped in front of him. “I want to see Seungmin and Changbin swim in the ocean as puppies.”
Changbin scruffed the back of Jisung’s neck. “I’m not a pup.”
Seungmin didn’t even deny it. Jisung just stuck his tongue out at Changbin.
“It’s been too long since I’ve felt the ocean in my gills,” Jeongin mused with a longing sigh.
“Oh my god, we could get like, those little floaties for stuffed animals but for Felix and Y/N!” Jisung gasped.
“That would be adorable,” Hyunjin agreed, smiling.
“Tomorrow looks like it’ll be a good day for a fly,” his mom commented, making all seven of you snap your heads to look at Chan.
“Fly?” Felix asked, hope tinging his voice. His eyes were wide and excited.
“The beach is best accessed through the air,” his mom commented slyly, smirking to herself as she walked away, completely ignoring the half-hearted glare Chan sent her way.
“Would we ride on your back then?” Hyunjin asked.
Minho looked Chan over assessingly. “If you’re not comfortable with that hyung-”
“No,” Chan immediately interrupted, looking at all of you fondly, “I promise I’m more than comfortable with it. There’s nothing I’d like more, actually.” He blushed. “I just wasn’t sure if you guys would feel comfortable with the concept.”
“And you can do that here?” Seungmin asked. “Like, no one’s going to freak out if a dragon flies overhead?”
Chan shrugged. “Nah people won’t worry about it, and most of the land we’d go over is owned by my folks anyways.” He looked between the group. “So you guys… want to?”
“Absolutely.”
“Of course.”
“More than anything.”
“I’ve been dying to for years.”
Minho snorted. “We’ve only known each other a couple of years, Sungie.”
“YEARS,” the succubus repeated, falling to his knees dramatically, one hand on his forehead.
Chan’s blush had bloomed, making his face an adorable shade of pink. “Well,” he cleared his throat, “we can head out in the morning, then.”
You were so so excited. The group made a trip into town to gather a few supplies that weren’t already readily available at Chan’s parent’s house. By the end of the day, you all had your beach-day bags packed and sitting by the back door.
“I’ll get a cooler ready for you all with some snacks, too,” Jessica said as she helped place the last of the beach towels into the bags.
“Do you need any help?” You asked. Felix stepped up beside you, nodding too.
Jessica smiled. “Absolutely, come along.”
Come morning, you all were up early. You’d all agreed today would just be a full beach day, and you wanted to get started early.
Even the members who disliked mornings were more awake than normal as you shuffled out the back door.
You all stayed back, holding onto various bags as Chan kept walking. He was only in a pair of shorts and glanced back at you all once he was far enough away. He smiled before the transformation quickly overtook him.
You’d seen him shift into his dragon form multiple times at this point, but it was just as breathtaking as the first.
Chan shook out his head, scales rippling down his body as he settled onto four legs. His deep black scales had the faintest purple shimmer to them where the sunlight kissed their surface. He stretched out his wings and legs, reminding you so much of a cat, before he lowered himself down so you all could easily climb on.
Both of Chan’s parents were outside with you, and helped show you where best to secure your belongings onto his back. Chan’s purple eyes tracked each member’s movements, but he seemed entirely content to just lay there as you all climbed all over him.
Finally, once the last bags were secure, you all climbed up. You and Felix sprouted your wings, easily fluttering onto his back. Changbin and Seungmin climbed Chan like a jungle gym. Minho grabbed Jisung’s waist and easily tossed the boy up so he landed lightly onto Chan. Finally, Minho himself, Jeongin, and Hyunjin somehow made the climb look graceful as they joined the rest of you.
Chan tilted his head so he could look back at you all. “Everyone settled?” He asked. His voice in his dragon form was so unique. It was him but… it resonated. It was smoother and rumblier at the same time.
It was so soothing.
You all gave confirmation and Chan smiled. “Alright, hold on then.”
You really hadn’t had a chance to see Chan fly before. You guys had talked about it before, after times when you and Felix had flown around the apartment.
“Do you ever get to spread your wings Channie?” You asked him.
You knew the answer already, honestly.
Chan shook his head. “I can’t fly within the city, not without attracting attention.” He took a sip of his hot chocolate, looking into the living room a bit vacantly. “There are dragons here in South Korea, but fewer than there were at home. People here… It’d cause a scene.”
You furrowed your eyebrows. “... Do you miss it?”
Chan kept staring out into the room for a moment before he finally sighed. “Sometimes.” He glanced over at you finally. “I’m grateful we have the space for me to shift here, but…”
… Nothing truly beats the feeling of the wind in your wings.
The powerful appendages rose up, spreading out to their full length as Chan stood up. You stared at his wings in awe, knowing that, despite the black tops, they were a stunning sunset underneath.
All at once, the wings beat down. The wind rushed past, the wings sounding like a slow, deep, steady heart beat as you continued to ascend further into the sky.
The powerful muscles shifted effortlessly underneath you, the land below rushing by. You couldn’t hold a giggle in as you leaned forward to peer over Chan's shoulder to watch the world zip past.
Felix quickly came up beside you, your wings brushing as they fluttered excitedly.
“This is so cool,” Seungmin said softly. You glanced over and noticed he was peering over Chan’s other shoulder, eyes wide with wonder as he took in the scenery.
“You’re absolutely unhinged,” Minho grumbled. He had Jisung seated between his legs and had his arms wrapped firmly around the younger. You knew he’d agreed to the flight, but that heights were still not his thing.
“I trust you Chan,” he’d said last night when your leader had triple checked that the vampire was okay with the flight. “I know you won’t let us fall.”
“You wouldn't even die if you fell, hyung,” Seungmin told Minho over his shoulder.
Minho hissed. “It would still hurt you mutt!”
The flight to the beach took about 20 minutes. You watched as the ocean shifted from a crescent on the horizon to a never ending blue.
At first, you couldn't see any sand. The edge of the ocean was lined entirely with cliff sides. You were curious if you were heading the right way (or if Australians had a different definition of beach) when finally it came into view.
The cliffs had been hiding what turned out to be the perfect alcove. It was spacious without being too large, full of soft, white sand.
And it was entirely private.
Chan made a large circle as he descended onto the shore. The sand scattered below as his wings beat the air down onto the ground. You felt his body shift as he finally landed, but you were barely jostled.
How something so massive could move so gracefully still astounded you.
The giant dragon settled in, slowly lowering himself.
“Final stop, everyone disembark the dragon bus,” Chan rumbled cheekily.
You giggled as you fluttered down off of Chan’s back, elated to be in a space where you could so freely use your wings.
You heard a yip behind you and turned to see Seungmin had transformed into his coyote. He leapt happily off of Chan, tail wagging as he immediately started sprinting around the sand.
Chan huffed fondly, looking between the excited pup and the rest of the group, making sure everyone got off safely.
You could tell the group as a whole wished they were Seungmin right now, but you all turned to the bags on the dragon’s back, making quick work of unloading him so that he could be free to tromp around, too.
“Go on,” Minho said, looking at you, Felix, and Jeongin. “Go play in the water.”
You wanted to bolt away, but you waited.
“Are you sure?” Felix asked tentatively.
“Yah, get out of here!” Changbin teased, waving his hands at you.
You didn’t need any more prompting. Immediately the three of you were shucking your over clothes and booking it for the water.
Felix instantly flew ahead, cackling.
“Hey!” You called out, wings fluttering as you tried to catch up.
“Oh just wait til I’m in the water-” Jeongin grumbled behind you as he ran harder.
Felix did a twirl in the air before tucking his wings and diving into the waves. You beamed, swooping up and doing a somersault in the air before diving in as well.
You popped up out of the water and looked around to see where everyone was. Felix soon popped up beside you, and you saw Seungmin hopping in and out along the tide, chasing the waves.
But where had Jeongin-
You yelped when you felt a hand grab your ankle. You swore you heard someone giggling when a familiar head popped out of the water.
His gills were now more noticeable on his neck. His skin had shifted to have a glossier top coat to it. You knew if you saw his hands or feet that they would have webbing between them now, too.
It wasn’t often that Jeongin got to shift. Unlike the rest of you, it wasn’t comfortable for him to do so outside of water for too long. You’d asked him once if his body felt the need to shift anytime he was around water, to which he’d told you no.
“It’s not the same,” he’d said. “I know what rain is, and our transformation isn’t compulsory. It would feel really weird to not change if I was in the ocean, or a lake or something, but I could technically decide not to.”
“What about pools then?” You asked curiously.
“Only if they’re saltwater maintained,” he replied, wrinkling his nose. “Chlorine isn’t that comfortable on my true skin.”
He looked at home in the ocean, his smile practically splitting his face in half. You loved seeing how happy he was here.
The other boys set up a canopy further up shore, that Minho was now comfortable lying under. He wasn’t fond of swimming, and being in direct sunlight for hours on end wasn’t his idea of a good time, either.
Changbin had quickly shifted once they’d gotten most of your belongings organized. He and Seungmin were now hopping in and out of the water, chasing each other around and barking excitedly.
Chan had lumbered over and slipped under the water, bobbing up several feet away from shore where he was now happily floating on his back.
You and Felix had quickly found out that he made for a great diving spot.
Hyunjin had been swimming for a while and was now sunbathing on top of Chan’s chest, feet dangling into the water with his hands resting behind his head.
Jisung had finally joined you all, too. He mostly clung by Chan, content with holding onto the dragon’s tail to help keep himself afloat.
Eventually you all broke for lunch. Chan shifted back into his human form once he got himself and Jisung back to shore. Jeongin had to be coaxed out of the water after some hissing and wrestling.
You were walking towards the canopy Minho was under when suddenly Seungmin and Changbin bolted past you.
“God dammit, don’t you dare-” Minho hissed, but that didn’t stop the two dogs from sliding to a halt beside him and instantly shaking off, spraying the vampire with a combination of water and sand.
“Boys,” Chan growled softly. “That’s supposed to be the dry spot. Don’t get our food all sandy and wet!”
Changbin shifted back into his human form, smiling bashfully. “Sorry hyung.”
Seungmin just barked, quickly spinning in a circle as he tried to grab his tail. Changbin huffed, reaching down and easily scruffing the coyote. Seungmin whined, going limp in his hold before finally shifting back, too.
Minho tossed towels in your direction as you approached. “Listen to Chan-ah, dry yourself off before you come in here.”
You all patted yourselves dry, Changbin and Seungmin helping brush the sand off the tarp before you all finally sat down to eat.

“I think I saw some seashells on the shore,” Hyunjin noted as the group all slowly ate and drank. He looked at Y/N and Felix as he spoke. “Do you guys want to hunt for seashells after we eat?”
The faerie’s eyes both lit up at the thought of trinket hunting along the shore. Y/N beamed and Felix nodded eagerly. “Yes please!”
Jeongin was devouring the fish his mom had packed for him.
He could still remember her calling him the week before they came to Australia to grill him on all of the member’s dietary needs and preferences.
“Do any of them get cold easily? Should I get blackout curtains for Minho? Would the faeries feel more comfortable up high? The last siren I met was a carnivore- is Jeongin one, too?”
“Mom,” he sighed exasperatedly. “We travel plenty. They know the places we stay aren’t going to be perfectly like home.”
He could practically feel her eyebrow raise through the phone. “Christopher, are you telling me that when you travel you don’t go out of your way to make sure they’re comfortable and accommodated?”
“... No.”
“That’s what I thought. Now tell me everything.”
During that conversation is when his mom had also decided to buy this large, portable canopy “just in case” they decided to go out.
He wouldn’t be surprised if she’d had this beach day planned from the start.
Chan watched as Felix and Y/N quickly finished their food and then eagerly waited for Hyunjin to do the same.
“Yeah, yeah, okay, I'm done-” Hyunjin said, grinning as the two faeries quickly pulled him to his feet. They barely paused to grab some buckets before they were sprinting back to the shoreline.
Leaving behind some of their containers from lunch.
Chan opened his mouth, about to call after them, but hearing their excited giggles had him pause. He sighed and moved to clean it up himself.
Minho snorted. “You're so soft for them.”
Chan looked over at Minho with a raised eyebrow. “I'm soft for all of you.”
Minho grumbled under his breath, returning to eating the blood gushers his mom had bought for him. Chan just smirked to himself, he knew a blushing vampire when he saw one.
Seungmin and Jeongin were the next two to finish eating. Jeongin quickly put his containers away before dashing back to the water.
Seungmin shifted back into his coyote form, running away but quickly returning with a piece of driftwood in his mouth.
He brought it straight to Jisung, dropping it beside him and stepping back excitedly.
Jisung's eyes lit up. “Yeah? Does puppy wanna play fetch?”
Seungmin barked at him, getting into an excited play bow.
Jisung took one last bite of his sandwich before standing up and chucking the stick as far as he could.
Changbin joined in soon after, chasing Seungmin around and finding an even bigger stick for Jisung to throw, making the succubus laugh with glee as he watched the two run around chasing them.
“Do you want to come out in the water?” Chan asked as he stood up and brushed himself off. “I could use one of my wings to shade you.”
Minho hummed noncommittally. He glanced out at the water where he saw the kids running around. Their sounds of joy echoed quietly in their private alcove.
Chan watched as his face relaxed into a fond look before he finally sighed as if he was so inconvenienced by Chan’s question. “Yeah alright, I’ll come out for a bit.”
Chan beamed at him, seeing right through his charade. “Now who’s the softie?”
“Aish, I don’t wanna hear it,” Minho growled, shoving at the dragon, who just cackled in response.
Chan was content to lie in the water, Minho having settled in on his leg, feet dangling into the water as well. He could see all of his members, and he knew they were safe. The sun was warming his scales and the soft sounds of the waves brushing against the sand made him feel more relaxed than he’d been in a while.
It seems the serenity was slowly getting to the others, too. Felix and Y/N had hopped onto his chest a few minutes ago to excitedly show him their trinket haul. When their excited ramblings had come to an end, they slowly gave in to the warmth of the sun. Now, they were curled up together, napping on his chest.
Jisung joined next, with Changbin and Seungmin shortly behind. The three were grinning from their game of chase and fetch. Jisung quickly draped himself over the two faeries while the two weres circled on his chest until cuddling up into a small puppy pile in the center.
Hyunjin joined next, pulling Minho away from where he’d still been lazily dipping his feet in the water, demanding cuddles under Chan’s wing.
Honestly Chan hadn’t been convinced Jeongin would join. The siren rarely had time to be in the ocean, and Chan knew he’d been looking forward to having time to be in his environment again.
So he was a little surprised, and maybe a little emotional, when the siren crawled onto his chest not long later and ended up curling up beside the weres to join them in their nap.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, and eight.
Exactly where they should be, safe in his arms.
Or well, not his arms, but you get the idea.
Chan gave a low, contented sigh, tilting his head back as he soaked up the sun.
He knew this moment couldn’t last forever. Eventually they’d have to head back to his parents’ house, and then they’d have to get back to their busy jobs. But he didn’t need to focus on that yet. For now, he was just glad they got to have this bubble of peace, where they could just be themselves.
Even though he was back in his home country, and his home town, he’d never felt more like he belonged than he did with his hoard resting soundly atop them.
Wherever they were, as long as all nine of them were together, Chan would feel at home.
