Jealous Dads reacting to Dadsona going on dates with other people?

☠ Robert - While Robert was originally stoic, he soon began to invite you out more and more frequently. He isn’t afraid to talk rudely about your partner in front of both of you, and will often sling his arm over your shoulders to say “he’s taken, thanks but no thanks.” He’ll try to weird your partner out by telling them about your misadventures, and if that doesn’t work, he’ll invite your partner along with the two of you and then do his absolute best to make them feel out of their element.
For instance, he’ll put them on the spot whenever you have to improvise, a lot more frequently than he ever did with you. He’ll even flip them off, heck, he has no reason to act like he likes them when he doesn’t. If all of that doesn’t work, he’ll just flat out tell them that you belong to him. This does somewhat contradict Robert’s will to wait until he becomes a healthier person to be with you, so let’s assume that this is actually after he has gotten proper therapy and is completely happy with his life as it is.
👚Joseph - Basically, Joseph is an angry prep in highschool. He won’t directly say that he’s angry, but dear god he will absolutely talk smack about that no-good, dirty, boyfriend-stealing heathen to every other dad on the block, and all of his bakesale buddies. When face to face with your partner, he will get along really well with them, definitely too well for it to be natural. His polite conversations will usually turn to simple-sounding questions that actually have really dark connotations in an attempt to expose his rival.
Whenever he gets time alone with you, or the two of you are out in public without anyone else in your group, he will be quite physically close to you and significantly more handsy than usual. He won’t touch you in ways that aren’t innocent, of course, just a pat on the back or a hand on the shoulder, but these happenings occur much more frequently as you see another dad.
📕 Hugo - With Hugo, it’s genuinely difficult to tell that he’s jealous. He seems to just innocently want to have intellectual discussions with your partner, and those discussions just happen to be about things that your partner knows little of. He will absolutely try to get you into wrestling with him, for completely straight reasons, of course. Cough.
Ernest personally hates your partner, because the only one allowed to hurt his dad is HIM. Because of this, he’s actually on Hugo’s side and does everything in his power to sabotage your dates with other people. Because Ernest isn’t an adult, and he’s also prone to doing illegal things for his own amusement, he does NOT hold back. Hugo winds up having to save him from the authorities a few times and embarrassedly talk to you and your partner.
🦇 Damien - Definitely the type of guy to accept his jealousy and mostly try to ignore it. I feel like out of all of the dads, your actions would hurt Damien the most, because he wouldn’t try to stop you. He’d just watch as you went out with someone who made you happy, maybe he’d even be a little happy for you, but he’d also be upset that his feelings could never be reciprocated.
He would be fully supportive of your relationship with another dad, but on the same note, his smile would never quite reach his eyes whenever the three of you were together. He would probably not be able to date again for a while, given that he would still be attracted to you, and he doesn’t want to force any other man into feeling like he’s the “sloppy seconds.” It would just be so unfair to be in a relationship with someone who loved him, when he really loved someone else. So, he waits.
🎣 Brian - What did you just say? No. What did you just say?! Let’s be real, no man can outdo Brian, and he is absolutely intent on making that fact known to both you and your partner. On a date? Not anymore! Brian is magically there and talking to both of you, somehow managing to talk your partner into a competition like he always does. As per usual, he completely pummels your partner at whatever they’re competing at, and he is absolutely willing to show off about it, namely to you.
All of his competitive efforts are boosted tenfold, and by the end of one week, your partner is just completely exhausted and you have to spend time with them cuddling on a couch to make them feel better. Not to be outdone, Brian winds up on that couch as well. Don’t ask how, Brian is a force of nature. Your partner is just so done that they leave.
⚾ Craig - MORNING EXERCISING. EVERY SINGLE MORNING. They always run late somehow, and you’re starting to think that River is intentionally sabotaging your dates with other dads by hiding Arnold. She doesn’t actually get upset anymore when he’s lost unless one of you suggests leaving for a second, in which case she immediately screams and throws a tantrum.
You wind up getting really buff because of this. However, because Craig is your best friend from college, he’s also pretty supportive of your relations with others. He does try to volley for as much extra time with you as possible, but he doesn’t intentionally do anything to sabotage your dates with other people, that’s mostly River’s doing.
☕ Mat - Oh hey I didn’t mean to bump into you here, what a coincidence! He’s always giving you little gifts from his coffee shop, he knows what your favorite drink and snack is so he prepares it as soon as you walk in the door and has it ready for you before you even have time to ask for it. If you go on a coffee date with another person, Mat will still treat you exactly the same, but he may accidentally spill a cold drink on your partner, whoops! He would never spill coffee on them because that could hurt.
If he knows embarrassing stuff about the other person, he will absolutely “accidentally” bring it up in conversation. Because he’s so cool, it really does seem like an accident. He’ll then bring up all of the good times that the two of you had together, making you feel really appreciated, but somewhat excluding your partner. Whoops!
