Correction, Sylki is not incest, nor are they siblings. It's a common misconception that stems from both misunderstanding how variants work, and disinformation made by people who only care to villainize a ship they don't like.

Second, Lokius is not a homosexual ship, it's a queer one. Same with Sylki, which is not a straight ship, but a queer one as well. Distinction is important, especially when referring to bisexual people.

And third, both Lokius and Sylki utilize what one could consider to be toxic tropes, e.g. abuser/victim, cop/prisoner, enemies to lovers, betrayal. Accusing one ship as being problematic or toxic for a moral high ground is double standards.

The key concept here is to not villainize either ship for "gotcha's" or points. You are not better than someone else for shipping a certain ship, nor are you better than someone else for bullying people over ships. You are just an asshole.

Shipping is also not activism. Lokius being a mlm queer ship does not make it morally better than Sylki, a m/f queer ship. It does not make it more valid. They are both fictional, and it does not matter which one you ship.

Hot take but a lot of people hated the first season of Loki because his comic book accurate behavior made it harder for them to pretend Loki/Tom Hiddleston was Domming them. They don't watch the show because they love Loki as a character or Marvel or even Tom Hiddleston. At first I saw Sylvie as a cool new character until she was referred to as the "female variant" which is completely inaccurate, since all Loki's are both female, male and in between. The fact that they gave Loki his first love interest and made it just another version of himself deeply damaged Loki's character arc. in the MCU. Not to mention in the comics Sylvie was just a random bigoted teenage girl who Loki gave powers to for shits and giggles. I don't care about comic accuracy that much but they massacred the series and its potential with Sylvie. I won't argue against the claim that some people watched it for Tom Hiddleston's looks, and that is okay! You don't need to be a hardcore comicbook fan to watch superhero movies. They're simplified adaptations from the comics to get people to watch their version of the stories, sometimes that leads people to pick up a comic book or two. Nothing wrong with watching mainstream media without knowing all 80 years of history behind it.

She is an original character inspired off of them, and even has inspiration from Michael Waldron's wife (which, as a note, is also where that romantic plot comes from). Amora, Sylvie Lushton, and Sylvie Laufeydottir are three different characters.

And lastly, the romance is not incest. They are not blood or family related, they do not share the same family members, and they do not have the same DNA. You fundamentally misunderstood the entire core concept of the show. They are variants of each other, but not the same people. Essentially, they only share a role.

If you're going to criticize parts of the show, at least use the proper information and not some disinformation made up by a 14 year old on Twitter who was mad their preferenced ship didn't end up being canon.

I also disagree with your theory about Sylvie was taken, but that's because I'm biased and choose to believe my own fan theory. Which is that they took Sylvie because she changed her gender using magic as a child. This is also supported by the fact that Loki's TVA file originally listed him as genderfluid, the fact that Kate Herron herself said "Loki" was Sylvie's dead name, and the fact that both Loki the comic book character and the God are canonically genderfluid in the source material. And I believe the reason why they have never come out and said it is because it would alienate too many centrists and rightwing viewers.

The political climate simply will not allow for a transgender antihero to be the star of the show.

Sylvie was originally named "Loki", however she was still canonically born "female", and both listed and stated as such, which differs from Loki and his canonically listing as "fluid". They are intended to be separate beings and don't share identities, only a role preassigned to them by the TVA. This is what's canon to the MCU specifically, and separate from both the comics (which she didn't exist in before the show) and Norse Mythology (which she also didn’t and doesn't exist in at all).

That being said, your fan theory is still valid. She's fictional, so honestly it doesn't matter too much outside of canon discussions. Your theory is pretty popular. I have seen lots of people label her as such, and I honestly accept that it could be a possibility, however the specific variant L1190 used in the MCU is canonically female.

It's not surprising that people would believe her. People like her thrive off of harassing and lying, and will try and silence anyone that calls them out on it, twisting and blurring the reality to make it seem like you're the bully.
