Women's Colleges in Transition

How do 39 women's colleges treat trans students?

With the earliest deadlines for submitting college applications fast approaching, it’s very important to make sure everyone has access to a tolerant, accepting college environment. Sometimes, the safest place for a girl who’s preparing to head out into the world is among her sisters. 

All women, including transgender women, deserve to feel safe and supported by their peers and teachers. 

This is a list of 39 women’s-only colleges and their stances on trans and gay rights, including the student and teacher body attitudes, whether or not they accept trans and/or gay students, and if progress in the admission of transgender youth is being made. 

This is an important resource for young trans girls who know that most places they apply will have trans-hostile environments, and are scared of taking a chance on any of them.

Hey! I’m not one to shamelessly plug my own content, but I’m sick of reading nothing but hetero fiction, so here’s an ongoing story I’m writing featuring not one but two bisexual characters!

The main character is a seventeen-year-old bisexual girl named Kelsey who has a knack for fibbing her way out of tricky situations. Her love interest is a mixed race nonbinary boy (also bi) who just so happens to be a human lie detector. On their own, they’re equally fearsome people, but together they’re unstoppable.
