I was watching dinosaur movies all day because I got roped into babysitting my nephews as they were visiting and none of them are over the age of five. And now I have perfected my dinosaur noises. At least something good came out of it.

❛ all of it. ❜ zona laughs, a genuine smile curving her lips as she GAZES up at the sky, getting lost in the stars for some reason. ❛ i could never do that, y’know. i love stargazing but actually knowing what the constellations are is another story. the WATERS, i guess ? my parents used to take me to the beach a lot when i was a kid, i got to surf & stuff & swim with the dolphins & the fish. ❜

shiro nodded, listening to her words carefully while still placing their eyes’ attention on the heavens. “i find stargazing to be even better when you can list off each star in each constellation. it makes it more... i dunno how to describe it, but it just feels great” they take their attention away from the blinking stars to look at her. “that sounds amazing. growing up in a busy city, we’d usually end up vacationing to the countryside where the stars were seen better”

she’s just taking a SIP from her drink when they speak up, head tipping upwards to look at what exactly they’re talking about. smiling a little at their words, she follows the movement they make with their hands. ❛ wait, how do you know that ? ❜ she asks, laughing a little.

“ which part ? ” they momentarily look away from the twinkling stars to glance at her before resuming their focus up above. “ i just memorized the locations of important constellations and stars. once you know it, it’s not that hard to forget. the latin part, that’s just something i saw in a book. do you prefer the stars or the waters? ”
