ļøµ ą³ mdni. being anxious and insecure the fist time sleeping with toji so he has to learn how to be soft ( size difference / tummy bulge / creampie )
toji fushiguro has never felt this helpless in his life.
youāre lying underneath him, completely naked, and instead of the usual heat and hunger, all he sees is anxiety written all over your face. your arms are crossed tightly over your chest, knees pressed together, eyes squeezed shut like youāre bracing for something painful. you want thisāyou told him you didābut right now you look terrified.
āhey,ā he mutters, voice rougher than he means it to be. āyou still with me?ā
you nod, but itās tiny. āi⦠i want to. really. i justāiām scared i wonāt be good enough. youāre so⦠big. everywhere.ā
toji glances down at himself, at his broad chest, thick arms, heavy cock already hard and leaking against his stomach. yeah. he knows. the size difference has never bothered him before, he even kinda liked it, but seeing you this nervous makes something uncomfortable twist in his chest. he isnāt used to this. heās used to rough, fast, no feelings attached. not this soft, shaky vulnerability.
āshit,ā he breathes, running a hand through his hair. he feels clumsy, too big for the moment. āiām not good at this gentle shit.ā
still, he tries. he shifts his weight so heās not crushing you, lowering himself onto his elbows. one massive hand gently pries your arms away from your chest. ādonāt hide from me,ā he says, quieter this time. āyouāre so beautiful.ā
you whimper when his calloused palm cups your breast, thumb brushing over your nipple. heās trying to be soft, but his hands are rough from years of fighting.
toji leans down and kisses your neck, slow and open-mouthed, hoping it helps. when you finally relax a little, he moves lower, kissing between your breasts, then your stomach. his mouth is hot, a little sloppy, but sincere.
ātell me if itās too much,ā he mumbles against your skin. āiāll stop. swear.ā
when he finally settles between your legs, his cock looks obscene against your smaller frame. thick, heavy, already glistening. you tense again the second you feel the blunt head nudge your entrance.
ābreathe,ā he says, one hand stroking your thigh. heās trying so hard to be gentle, but his voice is strained. āiām not gonna shove it in. not like that.ā
he rubs the head up and down your slit, coating himself in your wetness. youāre soaked despite the nerves, and that small fact makes him groan low in his throat. still, he goes slowāpushing in just the tip first, jaw clenched tight.
āfuck⦠youāre tight,ā he hisses. his hips twitch, instinct screaming at him to thrust, but he forces himself still. ātoo much?ā
you shake your head, eyes still closed. ākeep going⦠please.ā
toji pushes in another inch, then another, cursing under his breath the whole time. every time you whimper he freezes, big hand rubbing clumsy circles on your hip. he feels too big, too rough, too much for someone as anxious as you. but youāre taking him so well, stretching around his thick cock, and itās driving him crazy.
halfway in, he leans down and presses his forehead to yours. his voice comes out rough but surprisingly soft. āyouāre doing good, baby. so fucking good for me.ā
when he finally bottoms out, buried to the hilt, you both moan. he stays still for a long moment, letting you adjust, even though his arms are shaking with the effort of holding back.
then he starts movingāslow, shallow thrusts at first, trying not to be too rough. but toji has never been gentle in his life, and it shows. his hips snap a little harder than he means, the slap of skin louder than he wants. every time he catches himself he curses and slows down again, kissing you messily to make up for it.
āsorryāshit, sorry,ā he mutters against your lips when he accidentally thrusts too deep. āyou feel too good. canāt help it.ā
you wrap your arms around his neck, finally opening your eyes. the fear is still there, but so is want. āitās okay⦠i like when youāre a little rough.ā
that seems to break something in him. toji gathers you against his broad chest, one thick arm sliding under your back to hold you tight. he fucks you like thatādeep, steady, still a little clumsy, but wrapped completely around you. every thrust is punctuated with gruff praises and clumsy kisses.
when you finally cum, clenching hard around his cock, toji follows right after with a low groan that vibrates through his chest. the feeling hits him like a punch to the gut.
your walls flutter and squeeze around him so tightly, pulsing in waves as your orgasm crashes through you, and it drags him under with you. his hips stutter once, twice, then slam deep one final time as he spills inside youāthick, hot ropes of his creamy cum flooding your insides for the very first time.
āfuckā thatās it⦠take it,ā he rasps against your ear.
it feels overwhelming. the wet heat of your pussy milking him, the way your body trembles and clenches like it never wants to let him go, the slick sound of his cum already starting to leak out around his thick cock. heās never felt anything like this beforeāraw, intimate, almost too much.
every pulse of his release seems to push deeper, filling you until youāre stuffed full of him. toji stays buried to the hilt, hips pressed flush against yours, letting every last drop spill into you. his breath comes in heavy pants against your neck as the intensity slowly ebbs, leaving him shaky and strangely tender.
heās cum inside plenty of women before, but never like this.
never while holding someone so small and anxious in his arms. never while feeling your heartbeat hammering against his own. never while his rough hands are still gently stroking your back like you might disappear if he stops touching you.
the sensation lingersāwarm, wet, intimateāand it makes his cock twitch again even as he softens just a little inside you.
āshitā¦ā he mutters. āyou feel that? feel me filling you up?ā
he presses a soft kiss to your shoulder, still rocking ever so slightly to push his cum deeper, savoring the way your body accepts every bit of him.
for the first time in his life, cumming inside someone doesnāt just feel good.
it feels right.
then his large hand slides down between your bodies. his palm presses firmly against your lower belly, right below your navel. he pushes down gently, feeling the slight bulge of his thick cock still buried deep inside you.
āfuck⦠can feel myself right here. so deep in you.ā
you gasp sharplyāyouāre still so oversensitive from your orgasm, every nerve raw and sparking. the feeling of his hand pressing down while heās still inside you makes your cheeks burn with embarrassment. you try to squirm away.
ātoji⦠donātā itās embarrassingā¦ā
āno,ā he says, firm but surprisingly gentle. his thumb strokes softly over your skin as he looks down at you, eyes dark and intense even in the low light. ālook how well youāre taking me. all full of my cum⦠belly swelling just a little because of me. nothing about this is embarrassing, baby. itās fucking perfect.ā
you whimper, face burning hotter, but your body betrays you by clenching around him again. toji lets out a low, satisfied hum and presses down just a tiny bit more, feeling the shape of himself through your soft stomach.
āyeah⦠just like that,ā he murmurs, voice dropping even lower. āso damn pretty when youāre stuffed full of me.ā
then toji rolls onto his back, taking you with him so youāre lying on his massive chest, his cock still nestled warm inside you. the room is quiet except for your slowing breaths. his rough hands, usually so quick to grab and bruise, now move with surprising tenderness. one palm strokes slowly up and down your spine, while the other hand cups the back of your head, thumb brushing gently behind your ear.
he keeps caressing you in long, lazy passesāover your shoulders, down your arms, along the curve of your waist. every touch is careful, almost hesitant, like heās afraid his calluses might scratch you.
what the hell have you done to him?
he feels clumsy and huge and completely out of his depth, yet he canāt stop touching you. canāt stop wanting to be gentle for you.
āyou okay?ā he asks.
you nod. āyeah⦠you were really good to me.ā
toji huffs a quiet laugh, but thereās no bite in it. his hand keeps stroking your back in slow circles. ādidnāt think i still knew how to be gentle,ā he admits, almost to himself. āyouāre making me all soft, doll. never thought anyone could do that.ā
he pulls the blanket higher around your shoulders and tucks you more securely against him, one thick thigh sliding between yours to keep you close. his fingers continue their gentle explorationātracing the shell of your ear, the line of your jaw, the delicate skin of your collarbone.
āstay here tonight,ā he murmurs, pressing another soft kiss to your hair. ādonāt want you going anywhere. not after that.ā
you smile against his chest, and toji feels something warm and unfamiliar settle deep in his ribs.
yeah⦠youāve ruined him.
and for once, the roughest man alive doesnāt mind being soft at all.
Sukuna is reincarnated into the modern world, only to realize that being a villain is actually kind of a bore. Now a teacher at Jujutsu High by pure technicality, heās decided being a āgood guyā is way more entertaining, mostly because it still lets him do whatever he wants while everyone thanks him for it.
Unfortunately for you, that also means you get assigned to him as a specialist, since your technique is one of the very few things that can smooth out the jagged, overwhelming nature of his cursed energy after he uses it.
The problem is⦠youāre absolutely terrified of him. Every second in the same room feels like your body is trying to shut down, and the idea of having to touch him to do your job makes it even worse.
Sukuna, on the other hand, finds that fear hilarious and treats you like the funniest toy heās ever been gifted.

āAll right,ā you say, closing the textbook and sliding it back across the desk toward him. āThatās enough for today.ā
Yuji lets out a satisfied sigh, stretching his arms over his head until his shoulders pop quietly before dropping them again.Ā
āI actually think I got it this time,ā he says, sounding almost surprised by the realization himself. The corners of his mouth lift into an easy grin as he gathers the loose worksheets into a crooked pile, shoving them between the pages of his notebook with all the organization of someone who has long accepted that future Yuji will simply have to deal with the consequences.
āYou did,ā you assure him, offering a small smile as you slide your pencil back into its tray. āJust remember to slow down a little during the exam. You already know more than you think you do.ā
āYeah...ā He laughs under his breath as his gaze drifts somewhere past you. āI'll try.ā
He reaches for his backpack, fingers hooking around the zipper. It catches for a moment as he pulls it halfway closed before the warning that has been sitting at the base of your throat since the morning slips past your lips.
āOne more thing, Yuji,ā you stop him. āAbout Sukuna. You really shouldn't provoke him like that.ā
Yuji's hands stop moving as the zipper gets caught beneath his fingers, and he stares down at it, his shoulders growing a little tense. For a second, he doesnāt move at all, and then he exhales slowly through his nose, the sound caught somewhere between a sigh and a quiet, self-aware laugh.
āI know,ā he admits, his voice softening as his gaze drops briefly to the floor before returning to your face. āSometimes I really should keep my mouth shut.ā
The honesty of the answer catches you off guard, and you find yourself tilting your head, studying him more closely and searching his expression for any hint of sarcasm or deflection, but finding none.
āBut?ā you prompt gently, leaning your forearms against the desk blotter.
āBut...ā His shoulders rise in a small, almost helpless shrug, and one corner of his mouth twitches upward as if he cannot quite help the reflex. He shifts his weight in the chair, fingers brushing absently against the strap of his backpack. āSometimes he deserves it.ā
He reaches down and gives the zipper another firm tug, this time pulling it all the way closed, but instead of letting go, he keeps both hands resting on top of the canvas, his fingers drumming against the fabric restlessly.
āAnd besides,ā he continues, glancing up at you again, eyes growing a bit more serious, āif you let him walk all over you every single time, he gets worse.ā
You frown, leaning back in your chair, the words settling in your mind as you try to make sense of them. Every day with Sukuna has been a lesson in shrinking yourselfāholding your breath, yielding your desk, and moving your files out of the way.
āWorse?ā you repeat, your voice sounding thin to your own ears.
āYeah.ā Yuji nods as though it's the most obvious thing in the world, his expression settling into something thoughtful. āHe keeps pushing until somebody finally pushes back. If nobody does, he just... keeps going.ā He lifts his right hand, gesturing vaguely in the air as if trying to trace the shape of the idea, his fingers curling and uncurling before he lets them fall back to his lap. āI don't know. It's just how he is.ā
You glance toward the closed office door, thinking back to the tutoring session only a few days earlier, the insults, the contempt in Sukuna's voice every time Yuji had opened his mouth, and how he dismissed the boyās entire existence while eating takeout on your broken couch. Your fingers tighten slightly around the edge of your desk before you force yourself to look back at the teenager sitting across from you.
āI just...ā You hesitate, your brows drawing together as you try to soften the thought before it leaves your mouth, searching for words that don't sound as judgmental as they feel. āI don't understand why he treats his own nephew like that.ā
Yuji lets out a small, awkward laugh, short and a little strained, as he shifts his weight in the seat, his sneakers squeaking against the floorboards.
āWell...ā He scratches absentmindedly at the back of his neck, and his fingers linger there for a moment. āI don't think he sees me as his nephew.ā
You blink, your composure fractured by the simplicity of his tone. āWhat do you mean?ā
The question hangs between the two of you for several long seconds. Yuji doesn't answer right away, just leans forward slightly, resting his forearms on his thighs as he stares fixedly at a small, dark knot in the wood of your desk. For a moment, you consider telling him to forget it, that he doesn't have to explain anything to you, assuming you've accidentally stepped over a boundary into something too personal, but he doesn't look wounded or uncomfortable. If anything, he looks like heās sorting through an incredibly cluttered drawer, trying to find the plainest words available.
āHe killed my uncle,ā he says eventually, his voice perfectly even. āTechnically.ā
Everything inside you goes entirely still. Your breath catches sharply in your throat, a sudden, cold drop hitting your stomach so hard it leaves a bitter taste behind your teeth. Your mind frantically tries to parse the sentence, but the casual delivery refuses to lock into the horror of the concept.
ā...What?ā you manage, the word barely a whisper.
Yuji finally looks up, his eyes meeting yours, registering the total, bloodless shock on your face. His expression changes immediately, a flicker of genuine concern crossing his features as he straightens up in the chair.Ā
"Oh... You didn't know?"
You can only stare at him and shake your head slightly, your mind struggling to catch up, and he shifts his weight again, one foot tapping lightly against the floorboards as if heās suddenly realized heās made a massive social blunder and isn't sure how to fix it.
āSorry,ā he adds quickly. āI kinda thought everybody here already knew.ā
He exhales slowly, his shoulders rising and falling as he looks down at his hands, turning them over as if the story were written right across his skin.
"My uncle's name was Ren. He and my dad were twins." His fingers move restlessly over the corner of one of the blank scrap notebooks on your desk, absently smoothing the paper down only for it to curl back up the second his touch leaves it. āThen Sukuna... kind of took over his body.ā
āKind of?ā You tilt your head, your voice sounding thick and strange as you try to follow the thread.
āGojo explained the reincarnation thing to me back then, but honestly...ā He lets out a small, self-conscious laugh, dragging his palm down his face until his lower eyelids tug down, his gaze dropping to the desk between you. āI still don't really understand how it worked. Sukuna's fingers survived for a thousand years or something and... I don't know.ā He lifts his left hand, gesturing wildly toward the ceiling. āSorcerer stuff. And suddenly⦠Sukuna was there.ā
He says it in the exact same tone he used when he explained how he fumbled the negative sign on page forty-two. The matter-of-fact tone makes its reality twice as terrifying. Your throat feels dry as you force your lungs to take in air, trying to piece together what heās describing.
āSo...ā Your voice comes out softer than before, almost hesitant. āYour uncle was still... there?ā
āAt first.ā The answer comes without hesitation, but his fingers freeze instantly against the notebook, pressing his palm flat to the paper to ground himself. āFor a little while.ā
Yuji's eyes drift toward the window, his posture shifting as he leans back in his chair, though the distant, unfocused look on his face makes it clear he isn't really seeing the campus trees or the afternoon sun outside anymore.
āI kept thinking Uncle Ren would come back.ā His smile turns smaller and more fragile, the corners of his mouth tightening into a thin line as his gaze drifts aimlessly from the window to your bookshelves. āThen one day Gojo sat me down and told me there wasn't anyone left to come back.ā
Silence settles heavily between you. You move slightly in your seat, your fingers curling into tight fists in your lap as you search your mind for somethingāanythingāto fill the space between you, but nothing comes. No apology feels large enough, and no reassurance feels honest enough to offer without sounding entirely hollow.
Yuji notices the hesitation anyway. His shoulders lift just a fraction before dropping again, and that familiar, sheepish look creeps back onto his face as he glances back at you.
āSorry,ā he says, his mouth pulling into a small, defensive smile. āThat probably came out way heavier than I meant it to.ā
āā¦Yuji.ā
He gives a small shrug, his gaze dipping back toward his sneakers. āYou kinda⦠get used to it,ā he says, his voice quieter now, almost careful.
The simplicity of the statement makes your stomach turn. The toe of his shoe traces a faint grain line across the floorboards, over and over, as if he needs a physical focal point to keep the conversation moving.
āI hated him,ā he admits after a moment, and his brow furrows slightly, like heās trying to sort through the feeling even as the words leave his mouth. āI mean⦠obviously.ā A quiet, humorless laugh escapes him, and he exhales through his nose, shaking his head just a little. āI still kinda do sometimes.ā
You nod slowly, watching him as he avoids your gaze. āI think thatād be understandable.ā
āYeah⦠probably.ā
He rolls the word around for a second, his tongue pressing lightly against his teeth as if testing how it feels to say it out loud, before smiling again. This time, though, the expression doesnāt come as easily. It wavers, looking much more uncertain than the grin he'd worn while solving quadratic functions ten minutes ago.
āBut it's...ā He trails off, his gaze drifting down to the desk as his fingers go back to tapping absently against the strap of his backpack. He searches for the right word, his brow knitting together in concentration, then lets out a quiet breath when nothing quite fits. āIt's complicated.ā
You donāt interrupt him. You simply wait, giving him the space to find his way through it.
āMy brain still... I don't know. It still puts him in the same place sometimes.ā Yuji frowns at himself, then lets out an embarrassed laugh, the sound soft and a little self-conscious, before quickly adding, āNot because I forgot what happened or anything.ā
āI didn't think that.ā
āI know.ā He exhales slowly, his shoulders dropping just a fraction as some of the tension leaves his spine, and his gaze flickers back up to you, then away again, like he isnāt quite sure where to look. āIt's just... sometimes my brain still forgets for a second.ā He shakes his head at himself, a small, almost disbelieving motion. āLike...ā He pauses, searching again, his lips pressing together before he finally settles on something concrete. āSometimes I still catch myself calling him 'uncle.'ā He gives a small shrug, one shoulder rising a bit higher than the other. āUsually because I'm annoyed.ā
You canāt really answer. The absolute contradiction settles heavily in your chest, pressing down on your lungs, making it impossible to respond with anything as simple as pity or agreement. It lingers there, unresolved and heavy, as you watch him shift his weight and reach for his bag.
Finally pushing himself up from the chair, Yuji shoulders his backpack, adjusts its strap, and offers you the same bright smile he had walked in with an hour earlier, though now you can see the faint strain beneath it if you look closely enough.
āAnyway,ā he says, his tone lifting as he gestures lightly toward the door, clearly deciding he has spent more than enough time talking about himself. āThanks for today. I actually think I might survive next week's quiz.ā
āI think you will too.ā You find yourself smiling back despite everything you have just heard and the cold weight in your stomach, the expression coming more easily than you expect.
His eyes light up in response as he reaches for the handle and slides the office door open. He steps halfway through before pausing, his hand still resting on the frame as he glances back over one shoulder.
"Oh... and, teach?"
You look up from your desk, meeting his gaze as he lingers on the threshold.
āIf he starts pushingā¦ā He grins, though there's an unmistakable sincerity beneath it now. āPush back. Don't make it easy for him."
Your expression softens. āYuji...ā
The grin eases, the familiar warmth returning to his face as he lets the tension slip away entirely.
"See you tomorrow in class!ā
With one last wave, he disappears into the corridor, leaving the words hanging quietly in the office long after the sound of his footsteps has faded away.
ā
The second-years have long since outgrown the need for someone to stand over them every afternoon, correcting every stance and counting out every rep. Most training sessions now are basically just set-aside time to spar, mess around with half-baked ideas, and beat the hell out of each other until someone lands a hit hard enough to leave a bruise worth bragging about. Todayās no exception. Panda and Maki have claimed the center of the practice grounds, trading heavy hits that kick up little clouds of dust every time they clash. Off to the side, Yuta and Inumaki work through quieter drills, pausing after each exchange to pick apart what went wrong before circling back for another try.
None of it really has anything to do with Sukuna, or at least it shouldnāt. For a few more steps, he keeps his eyes fixed on the path ahead, moving as if nothing in the world could bother him. That familiar irritation, though, starts to creep in, subtle at first, barely more than a whisper at the back of his mind. Itās easy enough to ignore until it isnāt, until every sloppy move at the edge of his vision starts to grateāPanda overcommits to a strike, Maki slips around it without breaking a sweat, and instead of punishing the opening, she just resets. Panda laughs, and they start again.
That alone is enough to get under his skin, and Sukunaās pace slows so subtly that most people wouldnāt even catch it, until finally, the annoyance grows too loud to ignore and he stops altogether. Crimson eyes slide toward the training field, and for several long seconds, he stands there in silence, watching the two students, his expression flattening with every exchange.
Another exchange and another messy adjustment that screams hesitation. Another split second wasted thinking instead of acting, and another opportunity tossed aside because both of them just fall back into the same comfortable rhythm theyāve drilled a thousand times before. The coffee cup crinkles faintly in his grip.
A sharp click of his tongue cuts through the training grounds, the sound edged with clear annoyance.
"...Enough."
The word isnāt loud, but it lands with enough weight to kill every movement almost instantly. Pandaās fists drop first, confusion flickering across his face as he glances toward the edge of the field. Maki straightens a little more slowly, her annoyance already written across her features before she even bothers to turn. Yuta and Inumaki freeze mid-drill, all four of them tracking Sukuna as he steps off the stone path and onto the packed earth. He takes his time, walking straight into the middle of the training ground, never once meeting their eyes.
"What exactly is this supposed to be?" he asks, gesturing vaguely toward the churned dirt beneath Panda's feet.
Silence hangs between them, full of uncertainty, because not one of them can tell if he actually expects an answer or if itās just another test.
Sukunaās eyes drift lazily over the footprints carved into the dirt, the scuff marks from all those resets, the careful spacing that betrays how rehearsed it all is. With the toe of his shoe, he nudges one of the impressions, scraping away the edge until the clean outline blurs and disappears.
"Tell me what, exactly, you think you're practicing."
The command lingers, stretching out over the training ground until the silence feels almost suffocating. Eyes flick from the mangled footprint to Sukuna, then finally land on Panda, who stands awkwardly in the center of it all and stares down at the dirt as if it might offer some kind of answer. His brow creases as he tries to figure out if Sukunaās talking about the mess at his feet or the drill theyāve been running.
"...My stance?"
The words come out after a long pause, his voice stripped of its usual confidence. Shifting his weight, he tries to catch any flicker of approval in Sukunaās face. The sorcererās tongue clicks softly again, and the sound alone is enough to make Pandaās shoulders tense, a subtle warning that lands sharper than any shout.
āWrong,ā Sukuna replies, barely glancing up, his gaze fixed on the scuffed mark in the dirt, as if Pandaās answer hadnāt even grazed the edge of what he wanted.
Pandaās brows knit tighter, his ears twitching faintly as frustration starts to crawl up his spine. He stares at his feet, then flicks his gaze back up, searching Sukunaās face for any hint of what heās missing, but finds nothing but that same unreadable stare.
"My footing?" he tries again, more cautiously, bracing for the same answer, adjusting his stance almost without thinking.
āWrong.ā
Sukunaās voice stays perfectly level, which somehow makes the irritation in it sting even more. His gaze doesnāt waver, pinning Panda in place with intensity that leaves no room for argument.
Pandaās eyes drop to the ground, searching the scuffed dirt for answers that refuse to show themselves. His shoulders tense as he opens his mouth, hesitates, then shuts it again, forcing himself to look up only when the silence becomes unbearable.
"...Then what?" he asks, frustration bleeding through clearly.
No explanation comes. Sukuna steps forward calmly, closing the distance until thereās almost no space left between them, his presence pressing in, heavy and unyielding. His eyes drag slowly over Pandaās posture, taking in every detail with a cold, assessing focus that makes Panda stiffen. A faint curl twists Sukunaās lip, and he lets out a quiet, deeply irritated scoff, as if the sight alone has confirmed something he already despised.
"Stand still."
Instinct takes over and Panda shifts his weight, but Sukunaās hand clamps around the back of his neck before he can even finish the motion. A sharp, controlled jerk drags Pandaās upper body half a step forward, breaking his balance in an instant, only for Sukuna to shove him upright again just as abruptly. Itās quick, precise, and so deliberate it leaves Panda off-center, scrambling to recover.
"Did I tell you to move? If I tell you to stand still, you stand fucking still."
Snapping upright, Pandaās spine locks tight, a reflexive attempt to reset himself. The weight shift is barely perceptible, just enough to try and steady the ground beneath himāuntil Sukunaās boot comes out of nowhere, catching the outside of Pandaās lead foot with a sharp, precise kick.
The impact isnāt even that strong, but the timing is flawless. Panda barely has a second to register what happened before his balance vanishes out from under him once more. Instinctively, his body scrambles to correct the shift, but Sukunaās already there. His hand catches Pandaās wrist at the exact moment the adjustment begins, twisting his shoulder just enough to collapse the motion completely.
The ground comes up fast, slamming into Panda, and dust bursts up around him, stinging his nose as the air is knocked clean from his lungs. He lets out a sharp breath, irritation flaring hot as he props himself up on one elbow, jaw clenched tight.
"Youā"
"Again."
Planting his hands in the dirt, Panda shoves himself upright a little too quickly. The control in him slips, and itās written all over his face, jaw clenched tight as he squares his shoulders for another round.
"You didn't evenā" he begins, voice rising as he throws a hand out in exasperation.
"Stand." Sukunaās voice cuts off the protest again, shutting down any hope of argument before it can even start.
Grinding his teeth loud enough for anyone to hear, Panda bites back whatever retort was about to slip out. Shoulders bunching, he drags in a slow breath, shoving the frustration down as he resets his stance, obeying even though every muscle in his body wants to do the opposite.
Sukuna circles him once, and his slow pace makes it clear heās already written Panda off as a lost cause. His gaze drags from boots to shoulders, pausing somewhere around Pandaās hips, each pass making his contempt more obvious. Every angle seems to uncover a fresh disappointment, his expression souring with every slow circuit and each new flaw he finds.
No warning comes before Sukunaās hand slams into Pandaās shoulder firmly, carrying just enough pressure to force a reaction without knocking him flat. Panda braces, muscles coiling as he leans into the push, but the angleās all wrong. Sukunaās foot slides smoothly behind Pandaās ankle, hooking it, and in the same breath, he redirects the force of Pandaās own resistance straight into the dirt. The ground disappears beneath Panda, crashing him onto his back with a heavy thud, sending a burst of dust into the air around him.
A sharp exhale escapes as Panda rolls to his side, chest heaving with the effort to swallow his frustration. He pushes himself upright faster this time, barely pausing to catch his breath before shooting a glare up at Sukuna.
"...What the hell was that?" he snaps, annoyance crackling in his voice.
Sukuna doesnāt bother to answer, his gaze already sliding down to Pandaās feet, as if the fall never happened. "Stand."
This time, Panda doesnāt hesitate. He snaps back into position, sharper and more alert, jaw clenched so tight the muscles twitch beneath his fur. Every part of him braces, trying to guess what Sukuna will throw at him next.
Sukuna moves in again, hand landing on Panda with a casualness thatās anything but careless. Each contact forces a new adjustmentāknees bending, shoulders shifting, hips angling, every part of Panda searching for some kind of balance. His breathing evens out and focus sharpens while frustration slowly melts into concentration, but every adjustment is short-lived. Every time he thinks heās found it, Sukuna tears it apart with barely any effort, wordlessly exposing its flaw with minimal effort, stripping it away, and leaving Panda to start from scratch.
By the seventh round, the tension in Pandaās face has shifted. Irritation drains away, replaced by a quiet, stubborn intensity as he watches his own movements, hunting for something that might finally stick.
The training ground has gone silent, the earlier thuds and scuffs swallowed up by a tense stillness that presses in from every direction. Inumaki stands off to the side, arms loose but eyes razor-sharp, tracking every twitch and stumble. Yuta hovers just behind him, shoulders hunched as if bracing for impact himself, gaze darting between Panda and Sukuna, and even Maki, usually the first to react, stands frozen, attention locked on Panda, brow furrowed as she tries to piece together whatever lesson Sukunaās wringing out of this exercise.
Planting his feet again, Panda moves slower, adjusting his stance yet again, weight settling with visible effort. His breathing is heavier, each inhale measured as he tries to read whatās coming, but itās absolutely pointless. Sukuna circles him lazily, but his gaze is anything butāsharp and searching, sweeping over Pandaās posture from every angle. Once, then twice, Sukuna loops around, head tilting as if heās seeing something no one else can, his expression unreadable.
Sukuna makes another slow pass, narrowing his eyes just a touch as he studies the tiny shifts in Pandaās balance. Panda fights the urge to move, muscles coiling tight as he forces himself to stay still, even as the tension coils tighter in his legs and shoulders.
Seconds drag by, long enough for Pandaās focus to start fraying at the edges, but he refuses to break. His eyes flick up, just once, searching for any hint, but as always, thereās nothing. Sukuna just walks, watching with a flat, impossible-to-read gaze.
At last, another quiet click of Sukunaās tongue slices through the silence, sharp and dismissive, before he turns away.
Panda blinks. "...That's it?"
No answer comes. The mistake that dragged Sukuna out here in the first place is gone now, even if Pandaās stance is still a mess and holds enough awkwardness to offend anyone with functioning eyesāat least heās not repeating the same basic screw-up. His balance and footing have shifted just enough to fix it, not gracefully or cleanly, but just enough to get rid of the one thing that had warranted Sukunaās attention.
With that gone, thereās nothing left to hold his interest, and Sukuna moves to Maki instead, like Pandaās vanished the second he stopped being worth correcting. He lifts one hand and a single finger curls toward her, the gesture small but commanding.
"You," he says, his voice carrying easily across the silent field. "Attack."
The instant the word leaves his mouth, Makiās already moving, muscle memory kicking in before thought can catch up as she closes the distance quickly and strikes. Any other teacher would have to scramble to keep up, forced to react rather than just stand by. Her grip is unyielding, timing sharp, and for a split second, it almost feels like every hour sheās spent training is finally about to pay off.
Sukuna shifts half a step to the side, so casually that it barely registers as movement at all. Itās so slight it reads as pure dismissal, as if he simply chose not to be in her path rather than actually dodging. Thereās no effort in it, no rush, just that infuriating ease that makes the miss sting more than if heād countered or dodged with speed. Her weapon cuts through nothing but air.
"Did you intend to advertise it that loudly, or was subtlety never an option?"
A sharp breath hisses out through Makiās nose as she pulls back, forcing herself to reset. Her grip tightens, knuckles whitening, and irritation flickers in her eyes, but itās aimed more at herself than at him. She shifts her weight, planting her feet with extra care, determined to get it right this time.
This time, she moves in, switching up her rhythmāher first step shorter, less committed, baiting him with a feint before driving into the real attack. Itās a subtle shift, enough to trip up anyone who relies on patterns instead of gut instinct.
Sukuna slips out of range just as easily as before, that same infuriating effortlessness in every movement. He doesnāt even look at the weaponāhis gaze stays locked on her and the small betrayals in her posture, tracking every twitch and shift in her body that gives away the strike before it lands.
āAgain.ā
Maki clenches her jaw and draws in a slow breath, fighting to loosen the tightening muscles. She tweaks her stance, adjusts her grip, determined to patch whatever opening Sukuna keeps slipping through, and then she launches forward again, refusing to let irritation slow her down.
Sukuna doesnāt so much as twitch, just tracks her with that flat, unreadable stare, catching every tiny adjustment before sheās even finished making it. The moment she swings, he slips past the attack as if itās nothing, his expression flattening further into something even more unimpressed, as if sheās only proving a point heās already made to himself.
"No."
Maki stops herself halfway through the recovery. "No?" she asks before she can stop herself.
"You changed the correction, but the mistakeās still there.ā A curl tugs at his lip, but he doesnāt bother to explain, just steps back and waits. āAgain.ā
Irritation flashes across Makiās face, but she shoves it down, forcing herself to focus. She abandons the last adjustment entirely, shifting her footing and trying something newātightening one part of her stance only for Sukuna to see it messed up another.
He stands still, watching her close the distance. At the last possible second, his hand snaps out, catching her wrist before the strike can land. A quick twist throws her angle off, and he shoves her arm aside with a flick, letting go before she can even process what happened.
"Worse."
A sharp exhale escapes her, and she resets, this time zeroing in on her upper body, putting all control into her muscles. Determined not to give away anything, she lunges, but Sukuna only shifts the bare minimum, his hoodie barely rustling as he tracks her with a lazy turn of his head.
"You moved before you'd actually decided."
A frown tugs at her mouth as she draws back, rolling her shoulders in a half-hearted effort to shake off the tension winding tighter beneath her skin. Each breath comes faster, edged with a frustration that prickles along her nerves, and she forces herself to adapt faster than feels natural, even though every instinct screams to dig in her heels. She goes in again, this time letting her gaze drift, refusing to lock onto any one target as she closes the gap.
Sukunaās lips curl just a little. "You looked where you were going to strike."
Sweat slips down her temple, catching at her jaw before she wipes it away with the back of her hand. She tries to shut off the overthinking, pushing herself to move without letting every tiny decision get tangled up in doubt.
But thereās a flicker of hesitation in her moves, a stiffness in her limbs that wasnāt there before. Sukuna tilts his head, unimpressed and making no effort to hide it.
"You've started thinking about my reaction instead of your own movement."
Pulling back slower this time, Maki tries to keep her breathing steady, but itās already starting to slip. Sheās given up trying to hide the frustrationāitās there in the set of her shoulders, the white-knuckled grip, in how her stance refuses to settle the way it used to. Every attempt to fix one thing just throws something else off, and what once felt solid now sits strange and unfamiliar in her hands. Itās as if every year of training is being unraveled, each adjustment peeling back another habit that only survived because the last flaw covered it up.
Sukuna watches her for a moment longer, face unreadable, then lets out a quiet breath and looks away, already bored. Heās checked out before she even runs out of mistakes, moving his gaze past her only to land on Yuta.
Without a flicker of doubt, the boy steps forward, with the training katana already balanced in his grip before Sukuna even finishes turning. Thereās none of Pandaās uncertainty in the way he holds himself, just an unwavering resolve. Cursed energy rises in him almost on reflex, threading through muscle and bone, pouring into the sword until it vibrates with a low hum.
"Attack."
He moves the instant the word leaves Sukunaās mouth, as if heād been waiting for it all along. Every motion is precise, without wasting effort or wild swings, just the clean, disciplined technique drilled into him over endless hours. Cursed energy pulses through him, reinforcing each movement, sharpening the weaponās edge just enough to bite deeper, but never spilling over. Thereās a careful balance in how he channels it, a restraint that keeps him ready for whatever comes next instead of burning out in a single, reckless blow.
Sukuna doesnāt so much as blink as the strike comes in. His face stays unreadable, gaze flat and bored, while the sword slices through the space between them. Only at the last possible second does he bother to move, lifting a hand lazily to catch the flat of the sword, and its momentum dies instantly, a faint shiver running up the wood, but Sukunaās grip is steady as stone.
Neither of them moves for a long, stretched-out moment. The air hangs heavy, thick with tension that makes Yutaās skin itch, as his effort slams up against something utterly unmovable. Sukunaās eyes linger on the katana, then flick up to meet Yutaās, his face still a blank slate, not even a flicker of reaction breaking through.
āā¦Again,ā he says, his voice low and unhurried.
The sword slides free from Sukunaās grip without resistance, as if it had never been trapped at all. Yuta steps back, pulling in a slow breath, resetting his stance with the same steady focus and determination. This time, he throws more weight behind the swing, letting cursed energy surge through the sword until the air around it thickens, warping with the pressure as he brings it down.
A quiet breath slips from Sukunaās nose, the barest hint of acknowledgmentāif you could even call it that. Even with the extra force, somethingās still missing, something that doesnāt quite hit the mark heās waiting for. It still isnāt enough.
Instead of dodging, Sukuna steps right into the attack, closing the gap with unsettling ease. One hand flicks the sword aside like itās nothing, barely a thought behind the motion, while the other slams into Yutaās forearm hard enough to shatter his rhythm. Before Yuta can even think about resetting, Sukunaās fingers clamp down around his wrist, locking him in place and making it clear whoās in charge here.
"Again."
With every repetition, more cursed energy pours out of him, the reinforcement growing denser, sharper, and more precise each time. The pressure over the training ground thickens, heavy enough that even Makiās eyes narrow, her gaze sharpening as she tracks Yutaās every move.
And yet, despite all of it, Sukunaās face stays blank, crimson eyes watching without a flicker of approval or even mild concern. The irritation simmering beneath that calm is no longer about Yutaās technique, or his control, or even the sword. Itās something simpler, and somehow even more maddening.
Every time Yuta pushes harder, he still stops at the same invisible line, holding back each swing with the same restraint, no matter how much power he pours in. He never fully commits or crosses that threshold, and never lets himself go all the wayānot once does he drop the leash, no matter how much Sukuna demands it.
Another strike, another catchāSukunaās fingers clamp around the wood like itās nothing, stopping the katana cold, but this time, he doesnāt let go. His grip stays locked, unyielding, as if the sword weighs less than air, while his crimson eyes rise to meet Yutaās, studying him in a silence that feels endless.
A few seconds drag by. Instinct kicks in and Yuta tries to wrench the sword free, tightening his grip, shifting his stance, but Sukunaās hold doesnāt move at all. The sword might as well be welded in place, completely unmoved by all of Yutaās effort.
"...Why?" Yuta asks quietly.
Sukuna drops his gaze from Yutaās eyes to the sword, lingering there like the weapon might hold more truth than the boy holding it. He tracks the cursed energy running through it, thinking about every tiny adjustment and every careful calculation in Yutaās grip. Every movement is precise and intentional, and still, every strike is held back. Sukuna can feel the instinct guiding him, the discipline drilled in so deep that it decides exactly how much force is allowed in a training match. More than that, he senses the invisible wall Yuta wonāt cross, the line that keeps him just shy of real, lethal intent every single time.
A faint curl tugs at Sukunaās mouth, so slight it would slip past anyone not paying close attention. He lets go of the sword, fingers sliding off it, only to catch Yutaās wrist instead. With barely any effort, he drags the boyās arm down, forcing the tip of the blade to droop uselessly toward the gravel, draining the last bit of threat from the attack.
"Again."
Yuta drags a breath through his teeth, the wet, ragged sound scraping at the hush thatās settled over the training ground. Sweat slides down his temple, carving a path through the dust on his skin before dripping into the dirt between his shoes. He lunges, pouring every bit of drilled form into the thrust, but the wooden sword barely has time to threaten before Sukunaās hand snaps out, fingers locking around Yutaās wrist with the unyielding grip of a vise.
A sharp hitch catches in Yutaās breath, muscles going taut as he tries to yank free, but itās absolutely pointless. With a lazy twist, Sukuna forces Yutaās arm down yet again, dragging his whole upper body along until heās shoved into a rigid, low stance that leaves no room for argument.
āIs that all?ā Sukuna rasps, his deep voice carrying a dry, heavy deadpan that cuts through the sweltering heat. His thumb presses against the bone of the boyās wrist until the teenager's fingers twitch involuntarily.
Old habits bleed through in Yutaās posture, his shoulders dropping in a reflexive show of politeness as he bows his head. āSorry,ā he manages, the word soft and sincere.
A dry, rasping sound slips from Sukunaās chest, his mouth twisting into a sharp, mocking sneer that tugs at the tattoos on his face. He leans in, just enough for his breath to warm the space between them, his voice dropping into a low, biting deadpan.
āDo you think that noise fixed your mistake?ā Sukuna drawls, his eyes tracking the sharp bob of Yutaās throat. āIf apologies improved technique, youād be competent already.ā
Yuta drags a breath through his teeth, sweat slicking his temple before it slips down and disappears into the dust between his shoes. "I was... I was trying to minimize the openingā"
"I don't care about your openings," Sukuna says at last, his voice flat and devoid of interest, as though the words arenāt even meant for Yuta but simply spoken into the air. "I don't care if you have more reserves than the rest of these modern ants combined."
His grip tightens for a heartbeat, just enough to drive the point home, then he lets go with a flick so careless it almost feels bored, as if the whole exchange never mattered at all.
āThe only thing thatās worth my time,ā Sukuna rumbles, his dark nails tracing a slow, absent circle in the air as he walks, his index finger shifting lazily to follow the drift of the dust motes, āis if youāve actually decided to kill me when you swing.ā
The words hang there, as silence settles over the training ground all over again. Even the faint scrape of gravel and distant movement seems to vanish under the weight of his judgment. Sukuna holds Yutaās gaze a moment longer, unreadable, then turns away without waiting for an answer, his eyes drifting over the field without ever settling on anyone in particular.
His patience, whatever little of it existed, is gone.
Only then do his words spill out, almost absent-minded, now that the conversation has finally landed somewhere that actually deserves his attention.
"Every single one of you is obsessed with what you can do, but you've all mistaken ability for combat,ā he goes on with a profound contempt coloring every word. āYou inherited techniques, collected weapons, learned how to shape cursed energy into prettier and prettier tricks, and somehow convinced yourselves that possessing those things makes you dangerous. It doesn't."
He lets out a quiet scoff, a raspy and low sound from the back of his throat, shaking his head like the thought itself is too exhausting to bother with.
"They teach you how to reinforce your bodies," Sukuna continues, slowing as he reaches the white chalk line marking the edge of the drilling area that the students draw for themselves. "They teach you combinations, formations, efficiency, restraint. They fill your heads with rules before any of you understand the only question that has ever mattered."
At last, he stops walking. Boots grind into the gravel as he turns to face the low stone steps of the auditorium, but his gaze drifts past the training grounds, slipping through the trees toward the distant skyline.
"When you stand in front of another person..." The silence that follows feels absolute as the second-years wait for the rest of the thought to follow. "...have you already decided they're going to die?"
He isnāt expecting any of them to answer, and whatever justification they might try to muster wouldnāt matter anyway. The answer is obvious.
āAll they ever teach you is how to kill curses. Convenient, isn't it?" He lets out a dry, humorless laugh. āYou spend your whole life fighting things that donāt think, then a human stands in front of you, and suddenly every answer youāve been given stops fitting the question.ā
Finally, he looks at them, crimson eyes sliding down the line of students until they lock onto Yutaās sweat-streaked face.
āYou already know what it looks like when another sorcerer decides to kill you, and yet you all convinced yourselves that day was unusual. It wasnāt. It was the only honest fight youāve ever had.ā His lower lip curls into a sharp, mocking sneer that makes his face tattoos shift against his cheekbones. "And you learned absolutely nothing. You still treat killing like a special occasion. You wait until youāre desperate, until there isnāt another choice, until your enemy gives you permission to kill back,ā he spits that word like itās poison, ābut by then, you've already waited too long.ā
His gaze slips from Yuta, sliding sideways without a hint of hesitation until it lands squarely on Maki. She stands perfectly still, spear braced tight across her torso, knuckles white where her fingers clamp the polished wood.
"Youāre not trying to kill me. You're trying to win." His expression hardens, whatever amusement draining out of his face entirely, leaving it cold and flat. "I can see it every time you move. Youāre all still negotiating with yourselvesāshould I attack, should I wait, commit, defend? You swing and youāre already thinking about your next block. Step forward, and your mindās already planning the retreat. Youāre so terrified of dying that youāve turned combat into a set of neat little rules you practice in the dirt until you think youāre safe.ā
Another short, raspy chuckle escapes him, stripped of any humor, the sound bouncing off the corrugated tin of the equipment sheds behind the boundary line.
āViolence isn't a conversation,ā he says, his hand rising from his side to gesture vaguely at the open space between them, his dark nails catching the bright glare of the afternoon sun. āIt doesn't have room for your manners or your sentimentality. A thousand years ago, if you hesitated to strike, someone had already taken your head off. You donāt hide what you want to do. You donāt hide the intent of the slaughter. You don't wrap your energy in these pathetic little layers of deception because you're afraid of the counter. You reveal it completely."
He takes two steps forward and his presence fills the space, looming over the center line again.
āIf you werenāt prepared to split someone open from shoulder to hip, they split you open instead. If you couldnāt put your hand through a manās throat, you didnāt get a second chance. Thatās what mattered. Techniques ended the fightāintent decided if you lived long enough to use them.ā
Turning slowly, he lets his crimson eyes drift over their faces, with that empty, unsettling look that hits harder than any punch. To him, heās just stating a simple fact: everything they know about living and surviving is far beneath him. He expects them to grasp a kill-or-be-killed mindset theyāve brushed against once before, and the longer they stand there, breathing hard, mouths parted in confusion, the less he thinks of them.
Panda shifts, claws digging into his knees as he stays silent. Inumaki keeps his chin tucked into his high collar, eyes wide and unblinking in the harsh light.
āI've never understood why people talk about surviving battles. I never walk into battle wondering if Iāll live. I walk into it, deciding who dies.ā He lets out a quiet scoff. āThe strangest thing about killing another sorcerer is how often they keep fighting after Iāve already killed themāthey think they still have a choice.ā
His eyes slide from Maki to Yuta without slowing.
"She fights without a technique. Heās got a technique most sorcerers would kill for. Doesnāt matter. If they havenāt already decided the person in front of them is leaving here dead, nothing else means a damn thing."
He shoves his hands back into his pockets, his gaze drifting toward Inumaki, letting his eyes linger on him for a long moment, weighing whether thereās any point in wasting another second on this. Another click of his tongue breaks the silenceāthere isnāt. His boots grind into the gravel as he turns toward the narrow stone path leading back to the main facilities.
āā
Heat presses in from all sides, the afternoon air so thick and unmoving it feels like youāre wading through it as you step out of the infirmary. Over here, tucked away from the open fields, the quiet feels just refreshing. The stone path narrows, winding through the oldest, shadiest corners of Tokyo Jujutsu High, and the usual racket from the training grounds fades to a distant hum. Breathing in slow and deep, you let the sharp scent of pine work its way into your lungs, easing some of the tension thatās been coiled in your shoulders. Thereās something about visiting Shoko in her little sanctuary that always feels like a resetāa rare, steady patch of ground where the world isnāt always threatening to tip out from under you.
With your hands shoved into your uniform jacket, fingers idly tracing the cold edge of your keyring, you start back toward the main building. Just as you round a thick cluster of bamboo and the path widens near the edge of the secondary courtyard, a heavy, scuffling noise grates across the gravel, slicing straight through the hush.
āTeach!ā
The call is cheerful but heavily out of breath. You pause mid-step, turning your head toward the noise.
Panda and Yuta appear from the edge of the training grounds, making their way toward you. Panda lifts one enormous, dirt-streaked paw in a lazy wave, while Yuta shuffles along beside him, shoulders slumped and his wooden training katana slung over his shoulder like it weighs a ton. Theyāre both a complete mess. Pandaās white fur is streaked with damp earth and smeared with grass stains, and Yutaās shirt is plastered to his torso with sweat, his dark hair clinging in messy, damp tufts to his forehead.
āGot a minute?ā Panda rasps, stopping a few paces away, chest still heaving.
Pulling your hands free from your pockets, you offer them a calm, slightly curious look. āIs everything alright?ā
Pandaās left paw drags up to the back of his neck, claws working through fur thatās matted with sweat and bits of gravel. A dry, theatrical sigh escapes him. āSo⦠any chance you could tell Sukuna to dial it back a little?ā
A blink is all you manage, the question catching you so off guard it takes a second to find your voice. āā¦Dial what back?ā
āThe everything,ā Yuta replies, his mouth tugging into a tired, awkward smile while he leans into the wooden hilt of his sword. āHe was⦠particularly enthusiastic today.ā
A loud, dry snort bursts from Panda, echoing in the quiet courtyard. āEnthusiastic?ā His paw sweeps toward the empty training field behind them, where the white chalk boundaries are completely blurred and stomped out. āI think he tried to psychologically end us.ā
Yuta lets out a quiet, breathless laugh, his gaze dropping to his boots as he shifts his weight from heel to toe. āYeah. But that happened after he destroyed us physically.ā
āI think I got thrown at least five times,ā Panda grumbles, his dark eyes rolling so far back itās a wonder they donāt get stuck. He presses a paw to his forehead, trying to tally it up in his head.
Yuta glances over at him from the corner of his eye and mutters, āā¦Seven.ā
āSee? I lost count,ā Panda sighs, his massive head shaking in disbelief as he stares down at the dirt. āHe was enjoying that way too much.ā Straightening up just a little, he leans in, expression turning earnest, almost pleading. āSeriously, thoughācould you talk to him?ā
Your brows draw together, a sudden confusion rising in your chest as you look between the two of them. "Me?"
āHe actually listens to you,ā Panda says, his tone so matter-of-fact it might as well be carved into the campus stone.
Your mouth opens, ready to protest, but the words catch somewhere between your teeth and your tongue, refusing to come out. The whole idea is so ridiculous it nearly makes you laughāSukuna doesn't listen to anyone; he merely tolerates your presence because your Weaving technique makes him stop itching, nothing more. Yet somehow, theyād spun your forced survival sessions into some kind of secret authority, as if you have even a shred of control over him. Like you could ever tell him what to do.
You barely get a breath in, let alone a chance to set the record straight, before a sharp, familiar voice slices through the air.
āOi! You two!ā Maki calls out from the far side of the field, her spear slung casually across the back of her neck while she leans against the equipment sheds, looking every bit as impatient as she sounds. āAre we drilling or are we gossiping? Get back over here!ā
Pandaās ears twitch as he instantly looks over his shoulder. He spins back around, offering you a rushed, almost clumsy salute with his paw before he starts edging away toward the field. "Thanks, Teach. You're the best!"
Yuta hesitates, hanging back for a second longer, embarrassment and gratitude flickering across his face in equal measure. He dips into a quick, apologetic bow, knuckles whitening as his grip tightens around the strap of his training sword. "Sorry. And thanks."
He turns on his heel and jogs after Panda, the two of them kicking up little bursts of dust with every step as they hurry back across the field to where Maki is standing with her arms crossed, her glare fixed on them like sheās been waiting all morning.
Rooted in place on the narrow stone path, you let the warm breeze ruffle your hair and stir the leaves overhead while you watch the students disappear. Your hands slip back into your pockets, keys clinking together in the hush, and you fix your gaze on the empty gravel at your feet. Nothing comes to mindājust a dry, hollow ache in your throat as the absurd weight of their assumption presses down, heavy and impossible to shake off.
āHe actually listens to you.ā
Blankly, you stare at the dust-streaked path, eyes wide and unblinking, while a stunned, barely-there whisper escapes before you can stop it. āā¦What?ā
Dragging yourself forward, you shift your weight and force your legs to keep moving, each step carrying you closer to the main building. All you need to do is make it to the center of campus, unlock your office, and bury yourself in the mindless comfort of grading quizzes and prepping for the next round of classes.
The path ahead stretches long and dappled, sunlight flickering through the dense canopy overhead. Rounding a thick cluster of bamboo where the walkway widens at the edge of the secondary courtyard, you catch sight of two figures standing beneath a pair of old trees, right beside a tori gate.
Principal Yaga stands with his arms crossed over his chest, his dark uniform jacket looking entirely too hot for the weather. Next to him, towering easily over the administrator, is Sukuna.
Looking completely relaxed with his hands shoved into his pockets, heās listening to whatever Yagaās droning on about with a lazy, heavy sort of tolerance, his head tilted just enough to look bored. Heās not doing anything really, and his energy isn't flaring, but somehow his massive shoulders still manage to swallow up half the width of the dirt path.
Instinct screams at you to find another route, but youāre already too close to double back without making it painfully obvious. Jaw tight, hands buried deep in your pockets, you force yourself to keep a steady pace. Itās fine. Youāre fine. Heās busy, you tell yourself, fixing your eyes on the main building in the distance. If you just look like youāre in the middle of something important, maybe you can slip past while Yagaās still talking.
Youāre barely ten meters away when Sukunaās head snaps toward you, all that lazy indifference gone in an instant. Crimson eyes lock onto you, and whatever conversation he was having with the principal evaporates from his mind like it never existed.
He finishes whatever thought he was on in a flat, gravelly rumble, not even glancing back at Yaga. A curt, āLater,ā and he turns on his heel, striding toward you with unhurried steps that eat up the distance before you can even consider veering off into the grass to avoid him.
Sukuna plants himself squarely in your path, massive chest blocking the walkway and leaving you no choice but to stop dead in front of him. Beneath the automatic caution that always kicks in when heās this close, a bone-deep exasperation settles in your gut. Your shoulders drop a fraction as you look up at him, a silent, exhausted groan rattling around in your head. If only you could just barrel straight through him and keep moving, pretend he wasnāt there at all.
Behind him, Yaga doesn't look surprised or particularly insulted by the abrupt exit. He glances your way, the smallest flicker of dry amusement tugging at the corner of his mouth, then shakes his head, slides his sunglasses higher on his nose, and strolls off toward the faculty wing. Clearly, heās more than happy to leave you stranded with this particular mess.
Sukuna towers above, his shadow cutting off the harsh sunlight that had been burning across your face, while his eyes linger on you for just a moment before sliding away, drifting lazily toward the training fields stretching out behind him.
āYour era breeds nothing but weak sorcerers,ā Sukuna says flatly. āItās a disgrace. The strongest one apologizes every time he misses, the one without a technique still pulls her strikes the moment sheās convinced sheās landed one. Even the cursed corpse has learned to laugh at his own mistakes before anyone else does. Theyāve already accepted failure.ā
You listen to the rasp of his voice, your mind instantly replaying the exact same complaints he has made while sprawled across your office couch, breaking your pens and staring out your windows. You know every beat of this rant by heart.
You shift your weight from foot to foot. āTheyāre still learning,ā you reply quietly, eyes skimming the ground instead of meeting his.
Sukunaās lips curl, and he arches a brow at you, leaning in just enough for his shadow to creep further over you. āThen theyāre learning the wrong things.ā
A quiet sigh slips out before you can stop it. āYouāve mentioned,ā you say wearily, your thumb tracing the keyring in your pocket.
A short, dry grunt rumbles out of his chest, close enough to amusement that it almost passes for it. His smirk widens by a fraction as he watches your expression flatten into the same weary resignation it always does whenever he starts in on this particular complaint.
āEvery teacher wastes time correcting technique while ignoring intent. You can drill a sword swing for ten years, but if the idiot holding it is still waiting for permission, itās useless. Theyāre still trying not to kill.ā
Frowning, you finally glance up at him. āTheyāre students.ā
āTheyāre sorcerers,ā he corrects, not even glancing at you. āThe distinction only exists because your era insists on pretending it does.ā Then, he suddenly clicks his tongue. āCome,ā he rumbles, turning his chin back toward the path ahead.
You stay rooted exactly where you are. āWhere?ā
He rolls his shoulders, the muscle in his jaw ticking. āThe office,ā he grunts, as if the answer should be obvious.
āWhy?ā you ask immediately, keeping your voice level and slightly stubborn, even though the main building was already your destination. You had every intention of going straight to your desk, but thereās no way youāre letting him think heās actually ordering you around. Itās pointless, of courseāyou know you wouldnāt be able to say no, regardless of what youād planned to do instead.
Sukuna edges half a step closer, crowding into your space until the weight of his presence fills the whole width of the dirt path. He looks down his nose at you, his tone dipping into that dry, almost conversational bite.
āIām done standing out here,ā he rasps.
He doesnāt bother waiting for your answer before turning his back. A resigned breath slips out through your nose. You already know exactly how the rest of your afternoon is going to play out: Sukunaās decided youāre spending it with him, and every plan you had quietly rearranges itself around that decision.
As soon as your boot crunches against the gravel, Sukuna shifts his weight beside you and falls into step, heading down the path toward the distant building. He doesnāt make a show of matching your stride, but his long legs slow just enough to keep his shoulder perfectly lined up with yours as the two of you walk side by side down the wide path.
Back near the edge of the secondary courtyard, Panda leans his bulky arms against the low stone wall. His dark ears twitch as his gaze follows the path, and he gives Yuta a sharp nudge with the back of his paw, nodding toward the walkway.
āSee?ā Panda mutters, a quiet, completely satisfied tone in his voice.
Yuta follows the gesture, blinking sweat from his eyes as he watches Sukuna ditch the principal and head straight for you. The two students watch as you talk for a minute, then Sukuna falls into step beside you, and together you disappear behind the trees on your way to the main building.
āTold you,ā Panda adds, his large head shaking as he turns back toward the other two of their classmates.
Yuta lets out a slow, relieved breath, nodding in agreement. āHopefully it works,ā he says quietly.
ā
The office key presses into your palm as the lock clicks open beneath your fingers. You step inside and set your bag beside your desk in its usual spot without a second thought. Sukuna trails in behind you, not bothering to wait for an invitation, because he never does, and drops onto the couch.
Thereās no need to look back. After months of this routine, you already know heāll sprawl wherever he pleases, settle in for hours, and somehow shrink the room to half its size just by being here.
You stack the quizzes into a neat pile, fingers smoothing out the bent corner of one that got crumpled in your bag. Only then do you glance over your shoulder, half-hoping for some obvious reason for his presence, even though you already know better
"Do you need another weaving?" you ask. Itās the only explanation that comes to mind, and honestly, asking outright has always been easier than trying to untangle whatever twisted logic Sukunaās working with.
"No," he answers, not even pausing to consider it, like the question barely registers and the idea of offering any further explanation hasnāt even crossed his mind.
A single blink is all you manage, thrown more by how certain he sounds than by the answer itself. You wait, hoping heāll elaborate, but he doesnāt bother, so you just ask, "Then why are you here?"
This time, your voice comes out more cautious, edged with the suspicion that whatever answer he gives will only tangle things further.
"I'm sitting," Sukuna replies bluntly, like that alone should settle the matter and youāre ridiculous for even asking.
He makes no attempt to clarify what he means, not even a hint of justification for why that sitting has to happen here, in your office. Apparently, just being here is both the reason and the answer, and heās perfectly content to leave it at that.
For a moment, you just stare, trying to figure out if heās being deliberately obtuse or if, somehow, this actually makes sense in his head. The longer you think about it, Ā the less sure you are that it even matters.
"Right," you finally murmur, quiet and resigned, because thereās nowhere left for this conversation to go and youāre almost certain he knows it.
A sigh escapes through your nose as you sink into your chair, resigned to the reality. Sukuna has decided your office is where he spends his free afternoons, and whether he actually needs anything from you stopped mattering weeks ago. If he wants to sit here, he does; if he wants silence, the room obliges; and if he decides youāre both spending the next few hours inside these four walls, the day quietly rearranges itself around that choice, neither of you ever acknowledging it out loud.
Reaching for the first stack of papers, you start marking the margins, grateful for the familiar rhythm as your red pen travels across each page, leaving behind short notes before you flip to the next sheet and repeat the process. The routine steadies your thoughts better than anything else, giving your mind something predictable to settle into while the minutes drift past.
More time slips by than you realize, and the quiet stretches out until it starts to feel unfamiliar. Your pen slows as the absence of interruption grows harder to ignore, another page turning beneath your hand while you wait, almost unconsciously, for something that never comes. No complaints about modern sorcerers, no low, amused remark from across the room, no attempts to derail your focus, and no impossible questions tossed out just to watch you stumble through an answer.
The only sounds are the scratch of your pen against paper and the occasional rustle of his clothes as he shifts on the couch. The room settles into a strange silence that presses against your ears until itās somehow louder than his usual presence. Eventually, curiosity gets the better of you, and your eyes lift from the page.
Sprawled across the couch, Sukuna hooks one arm lazily over the backrest, his broad shoulders sinking deep into the cushions. One leg stretches out in front of him, the other bent just enough to let him claim an unreasonable amount of space, even while sticking to his human form. His attention isnāt on you at all; heās focused entirely on the phone resting in one enormous hand, thumb gliding across the screen with a surprising ease as he scrolls through whatever has managed to keep the King of Curses occupied for nearly an hour.
You catch yourself staring way longer than you mean to, the sight settling in with a faint, almost ridiculous disbelief. Sukuna, of all people, actually owns a phone.
It throws you off, though you canāt pin down why. Logically, after months of being reincarnated, it would be weirder if he didnāt have one by now, considering how quickly he adapts to anything he decides is worth understanding, no matter how loudly he complains about modern society.
For a split second, you wonder if Yuji ever tried teaching him how to use it, but the thought vanishes almost as soon as it appears. Thereās no universe where Sukuna would let that kid teach him a single damn thing, especially not something this trivial. Heād either figure it out himself or bully someone else into explaining it.
Watching his thumb swipe across the glass, another thought sneaks in, bringing an unexpected wave of relief. At least he doesnāt have your phone number. Or if he does, he has no interest in using it, which is a comfort you hadnāt realized you needed until now.
You silently beg the universe to keep him uninterested in digital harassment, letting your gaze drift away from the device in his hand. It catches on the couch beneath him, and a slight frown tugs at your brow as something about it refuses to settle into place.
At first, you canāt quite put your finger on what feels off, because the difference isnāt immediately obvious, but the longer you look, the clearer it becomes: the couch sits perfectly level beneath him, no longer slumping toward the corner where one of the legs snapped under the weight of his true form. When he shifts against the backrest, the frame stays silent, not a single strained groan or ominous creak to warn that the rest of the legs might give out next.
Once you notice the silence, other differences start to surface. The armrests are wider, the space between them more generous, and the back extends higher behind his shoulders than you remember. You go still, breath catching for a moment as the realization finally landsāthe couch is bigger.
Your eyes flick from Sukuna to the couch and back again, as if staring hard enough might make the old one reappear. Clearing your throat, you finally cut through the silence thatās settled over the room.
"Did you replace my couch?" The words slip out before you can stop them. The idea of anyone else replacing the couch in your office without so much as a warning is impossible to picture.
Sukuna finally looks up from his phone, brow knitting together like youāve just interrupted him with a genuinely baffling question, one that doesn't make the slightest sense to him.
"No," he replies after a beat, confusion flickering in the way his eyes narrow. When you just stare, letting the silence stretch, he adds an irritated, "What?" like youāre the one who needs to justify asking something so stupid.
For Sukuna, your question doesnāt even register as logicalāthat wasn't your couch. The moment he decided your office beat the teacherās lounge, it became his, and every afternoon since has only hammered that point home. He sprawled across it, napped on it, ate entire meals on it, ignored people from it, and waited there while you worked, until weeks of staking his claim turned the couch into just another piece of territory, worn in by sheer, stubborn use.
When one of the legs snapped and left the whole thing sagging toward the floor, groaning every time he shifted like the rest might collapse, he just swapped it for one that suited him better. There was nothing to discussāhe hadnāt replaced your furniture, just his own.
You keep staring at the wider couch, letting his answer sink in, the implications washing over you in slow, quiet waves as you take in its size again. It isnāt just newerāitās unmistakably big enough for his true form, the extra space impossible to ignore now that you know what to look for. It hits you hard in your chest that Sukuna no longer treats transforming into his true form in your office like an exception.
By swapping out the couch, heās made it clear that, sooner or later, he already expects it to happen again and that this version of him will be just another part of your afternoons.

the pizzeria is loud and warm and smells like melted cheese and youāve officially decided this is the worst night of your life, which is saying a lot considering the last few weeks.
satoru is across from you, next to his dateārio, apparently, the girl form the hallway with her shiny hair and soft laugh, the kind of girl who hides her giggles behind her hand every time satoru says something that isnāt even that funny.Ā
suguru is beside you, close enough that his knee bumps yours every time he reaches for another slice, which is nice. objectively. if you think about it, suguru is nice, and he looks good, and any normal person would be more than happy to have his attention.
you are not normal tonight. youāre too busy watching satoru laugh with someone else to enjoy any of it.
the car ride here had already ruined your mood. satoru had made everyone listen to rioās favorite song on repeat, and youād spent the entire drive staring out the window, thinking about how three days ago you almost told him i like you, and instead you ended up here, watching him lean in close to show her memes youāve seen a hundred times and wondering if he shows the same memes to every girl in his life while considering opening the door and flinging yourself out of the moving car just to escape the agony.
now thereās a giant pizza in the middle of the table that youāve barely touched, while satoruās already halfway through his third slice. rio keeps smiling and saying things like, āsatoru told me you guys have been friends forever, thatās so cute,ā in a sweet voice that makes you want to crawl under the table and disappear.
āoh, has he?ā you mutter, picking at the crust of your pizza. āwe actually met because he stole the last muffin in the cafeteria during orientation week.ā
āhe does that,ā rio laughs, resting her hand on satoruās arm again. āhe stole my parking spot the day we met.ā
āof course he did,ā you say, forcing a little smile. āvery satoru. but really it worked out fine, because satoruās lactose intolerant, and iām pretty sure that muffin from orientation ruined the rest of his day. so, donāt let him anywhere near your tiramisu later unless you want to spend the movie listening to him complain.ā
āwait, youāre lactose intolerant?ā rio asks, turning to satoru.
āsheās making it sound way worse than it was,ā satoru says, stealing another bite of your pizza. āiām not that lactose intolerant. i had, like, one bad night. one time. and sheās never let me live it down.ā
āyou cried,ā you deadpan. āand texted me at two in the morning saying you were dying.ā
āi said i felt like i was dying.ā
āyou sent me a picture.ā
āi absolutely did notāā
āyou were on the floor, satoru,ā you cut in, pressing the back of your hand to your forehead in an overdramatic impression. āāiām on the floor. i think this is it. tell my story.āā
rio lets out a slightly nervous laugh, unsure if sheās allowed to find this funny. suguru, however, laughs beside you.
āheās always been a little dramatic,ā suguru agrees.
satoru turns to rio, propping his chin on his hand. ādonāt listen to her. sheās just trying to change the subject because she talks in her sleep.ā
āi do not.ā
āyou absolutely do.ā
āi donāt!ā
suguru smiles into his drink. āthatās kinda cute, actually.ā
āyouād think so until you actually hear her,ā satoru says, pointing at you. āremember that camping trip last summer? i woke up in the middle of the night thinking someone was outside the tent but turns out she was just talking in her sleep and drooling all over her sleeping bag.ā
āoh, you mean the trip where you woke up clutching a flashlight like your life depended on it because you were scared of some birds?ā you fire back. āyou mean that trip?ā
suguru snorts. āhe was scared of birds?ā
āoh, he was terrified,ā you say, glancing at rio. āmilk and birds are very sensitive topics for satoru.ā
āsays the girl who still sleeps with a teddy bear every night.ā
rio covers her mouth, failing to hide her laugh. āyou still sleep with a teddy bear?ā
āyeah, and it only has one eye,ā satoru adds.
āit has both eyes!ā
āone of them is a button.ā
ābecause i had to sew it back on after you kicked him off the bed!ā
āit was an accident!ā
āsure. an accident. youāve never liked him in the first place.ā
āi donāt hate him! didnāt i apologize to the bear? you made me apologize to him!ā
ābecause you ripped his eye off!ā
the table goes quiet for a beat. not the comfortable kind. the kind where you suddenly notice the clatter of the kitchen somewhere behind you and the scrape of someoneās chair two tables over.Ā
rio and suguru exchange a look across the table.
āā¦you guys have a lot of history,ā rio says carefully.
āwe really donāt,ā you say at the exact same time satoru says, āwe really do,ā and you both look at each other for a second.
āseriously?ā you mutter.
āwhat?ā he replies, all innocent.
the table falls into an excruciating silence. suguru suddenly seems deeply fascinated in the condensation running down the side of his glass, while rio suddenly finds the floor very interesting.
finally, rio clears her throat. āiām gonna go to the bathroom.ā
āiāll walk with you,ā suguru says way too fast, already sliding out of the booth. he shoots satoru a very clear fix this look before the two of them disappear toward the front of the restaurant.
the second theyāre gone, you turn on satoru. he reaches across the table and casually steals another slice of your pizza.
āwhat are you doing?ā
āeating pizza,ā he answers with his mouth full.
āsatoru.ā
āmhmm?ā he leans back, one arm draped along the top of the booth, looking far too pleased with himself for someone whoās supposedly here on a date with someone else.
āyouāre doing this on purpose.ā
ādoing what?ā
āyou brought up the teddy bear.ā
āyou said that iām scared of birds.ā
ābecause you brought up the sleep talking!ā
ābecause you started with the lactose intolerance!ā
ābecause you stole my muffin three years ago!ā
āwhich,ā he says, pointing the crust at you, āwas clearly the best decision iāve ever made.ā
you let out a laugh. āwhat is your mission here? to embarrass me in front of suguru?ā
āoh please. like i have nothing better to do.ā he takes another bite. āwhat about you? telling rio i cried on the bathroom floor?ā
āyou did cry on the bathroom floor.ā
āi was in pain!ā
āyou texted me i think this is how i go.ā
āi thought it was!ā
āyou also asked me to clear your search history.ā
he groans, dragging a hand down his face. ācan you please stop bringing that up?ā
ānever.ā
he sighs, then takes another bite of your pizza. āanyway⦠whatās with you tonight?ā
āwhatās with me?ā
āyeah. youāve been taking shots at me all night. i thought i was doing you a favor setting you up with suguru.ā
you let out a bitter laugh. āwho even is rio? do you even know her last name?ā
āof course i do,ā he says, pausing for half a second. āitās a very pretty name.ā
āoh really?ā
āyeah. way prettier than yours.ā
āso what is it then?ā
āthatās not the point.ā
āwow.ā you shake your head. āyouāre on a date with a girl whose last name you donāt even know.ā
āwhy do you care? youāre here with suguru.ā he watches you and then that dangerous grin spreads across his lips. you already hate that grin. āoh my god.āĀ
āwhat?ā
āyouāre jealous.ā
āi am not jealous.ā
āyou absolutely are.ā he leans in, lowering his voice, the noise of the restaurant suddenly feeling very far away. āwanna know a secret?ā before you can stop yourself, you lean in a little too. his smile only gets wider. āi think iām into it⦠seeing you all worked up over me.ā
āi am not worked up.ā
āyour ears are red.ā
āitās warm in here.ā
āitās really not.ā
āsatoruāā
āyou could just say it, you know,ā he says, and the teasing falls away a little. āinstead of doing all this. you could just tell me.ā
ātell you what?ā
he opens his mouthā
āgot āem!ā suguruās voice cuts through the moment like a bucket of ice water. he slides back into the booth beside you, way too cheerful. āmovie tickets secured. four seats, back row. thereās an aisle in between, but it should be fine.ā
you quickly look down at your glass, tracing patterns in the condensation. across from you, satoru leans back against the booth like nothing happened.
suguru glances between the two of you. āā¦you guys good?ā
āgreat,ā you say.
āperfect,ā satoru says at the exact same time.
︵︵︵ ๠┠๠︵︵︵
the theater is already mostly full by the time you make it inside. the four of you walk down the aisle with popcorn and drinks in hand. you go in first on purpose. your plan is simple: you, suguru, aisle, rio, and then satoru. because that is how a double date is supposed to work, and it would put a very sensible amount of distance between you and satoru for the next two hours.
suguru starts to follow you in. and then satoru steps around him, drops into the seat right beside you, swings his long legs out, and settles in like heās been there the whole night.
suguru blinks at him. satoru looks up at him and says nothing and does not move even an inch. thereās a long pause. then suguru sighs like he has decided this particular hill is not worth dying on tonight, and slides into the next seat over. rio settles beside him.Ā
you stare at suguru. he gives you a helpless shrug that very clearly says this oneās on you.
you turn to satoru. āyouāre sitting next to me.ā
āyeah,ā he says. āthatās usually how sitting works.ā
āthatās not how a double date works, satoru.ā
āi donāt know. seems fine to me.ā he glances down at your empty hands. āwhereās your popcorn?ā
āi was going to share with suguru before you decided i was not going to sit next to him.ā
āoh.ā he doesnāt look sorry at all. he simply holds his bucket out toward you. āhere.ā
you stare at the popcorn. then at him. he raises his eyebrows, waiting like this is a completely reasonable solution to the problem he created.
you take the popcorn. because youāre not arguing anymore, and also because youāre a little hungry.
āthere you go,ā he says.
the movieās only been on for about twenty minutes when you reach into the tub and your fingers brush directly against his. his hand is already in there, waiting, not even pretending to be subtle.
you pull back quickly. āsorry.ā
you wait a minute and try again. his hand is still right there.
āyouāre doing that on purpose.ā
ādoing what?ā he asks.
āputting your hand exactly where iām about to put mine.ā
āiām just eating popcorn.ā he tilts the tub toward you. āhere. plenty of room. go ahead.ā
you stare at him. he stares back, the picture of pure innocence.Ā
you wait. you watch him pull his hand back, rest it on his knee. you count to ten in your head, then reach in againā
his hand dives in at the exact same moment, fingers bumping into yours. he makes a small, thoughtful hum like oh, what a coincidence.
āsatoruāā
āhm?ā heās already popping the stolen popcorn into his mouth, eyes glued to the screen.
you turn back to the movie, arms crossed. fine. you are a grown adult. you can ignore him. you donāt even want popcorn anymore. youāre just going to sit here like a mature, unbothered adult and watch the film.
you last exactly three minutes.
this time when you reach in, his hand catches yours completely. warm fingers curl loosely around your entire hand inside the tub. he doesnāt even pretend itās an accident.
you freeze.
the movie keeps playing. someone says something dramatic on screen. you have no idea what.
āsatoru,ā you whisper.
āyeah?ā
ālet go.ā
āiām not doing anything.ā
āyou are holding my hand.ā
āour hands happen to be in the same place, yeah.ā he tilts his head toward the screen. āgood movie, by the way. you should watch it.ā
āi hate you,ā you whisper.
āno you donāt,ā he replies softly. his thumb slowly strokes across the back of your handāwarm, slow, and so deliberately gentle it makes your breath catch.
you keep staring straight ahead, heart hammering against your ribs. something explodes on the screen. someone wins something. you have completely lost the plot. the only thing you can focus on is satoruās hand curled warmly around yours inside the nearly empty popcorn tub, his thumb lazily tracing the side of your palm like he has all the time in the world.
you are gripping a mostly empty container in a crowded theater, desperately trying to look like a normal person watching a movie and not someone on the verge of a complete breakdown.
then he shifts in his seat.
the tub in his lap tilts slightly, and suddenly you feel itāhot, hard, and unmistakably pressed against the back of your fingers through the thin cardboard.Ā
your face burns.
satoruās free hand grips the armrest a little too hard. you catch it from the corner of your eye. he tries to play it cool, but you feel the way he subtly adjusts his hips, trying (and failing) to ease the pressure without drawing attention. the movement only makes it worse. the thick outline drags heavier against your knuckles.
your face burns hotter. you donāt dare move. not even to pull your hand away. the theater is dark, but it suddenly feels blindingly bright, like every single person around you can sense exactly whatās happening under that stupid popcorn tub.
you should yank your hand back. you should. but then your fingers moveāaccidentally, of courseāpressing more firmly against the thick shape of him. heās so hard it makes your stomach flip.Ā
for a second heās completely still, then he lets out a shaky exhale that sounds suspiciously like a laugh heās trying to choke down. āfuck⦠youāre really gonna do this to me right here?ā he whispers.Ā
his fingers tighten around yours, the ones still laced together. then, without warning, he pushes your intertwined hands down harder against his cock. the move is bold. greedy. he rocks his hips up just enough to grind the heavy length against your palm, letting you feel every inch of how badly heās losing it.
he bites down on his lip, head tipping back against the seat. his breathing is no longer steady. neither is yours. he guides you again, pressing your palm down harder, encouraging you to rub along his full length from base to tip.
youāre pretty sure youāre two seconds away from actually dying in this theater seat. āsatoru⦠we canāt do this here.ā the words come out weak, almost breathless. even you donāt fully believe them.
āwhy not,ā he whispers right against your ear, lips brushing your skin. ābeen so fucking hard for you the whole evening⦠you have no idea what youāve been doing to me.ā
your pulse is racing. you swallow hard, eyes darting toward the rows around you. āsomeone will see,ā you whisper.
satoru doesnāt even hesitate. with his free hand, he reaches behind his neck and tugs off his oversized black sweater. the thin white t-shirt underneath rides up, flashing a tempting strip of toned, pale skin and his lower abs before it settles back down and then he drapes the sweater over his lap.
he grabs your hand againāstill intertwined with hisāand guides it right back under the soft black material. he presses your palm firmly against the burning outline of his cock.
ābetter?ā he murmurs, lips brushing your temple, voice teasing even as it trembles with need. āno one can see now⦠so touch me. please⦠iām dying for it.ā
this is a horrible idea.
the thought screams in your head as your fingers stayed glued to his cock under the heavy fabric of his sweater. the movie is still playing, some loud action scene flashing across the screen, but all you can focus on is the very real possibility that this entire theater is about to call the police. or worse⦠that suguru and rio, who are sitting just two seats over to your left, might glance over at any second and see exactly whatās happening under that black sweater.
āsatoru, this is insane. suguru and rio are right thereāā
he doesnāt let you finish. his hand tightens over yours, guiding you again, pressing your palm fully against his throbbing cock and dragging it slowly up and down his length. the heat under the sweater is ridiculous. heās impossibly hard, twitching every time your fingers move.
āshould i touch you instead?ā he whispers, lips brushing the shell of your ear. ābut you have to keep quiet for me.ā
the suggestion sends a fresh wave of heat through you. you know you should say no. you know this is risky and stupid and completely insane⦠but the thought of touching him again makes your mouth go dry.
instead of pulling away, your fingers curl tighter around him.
satoru lets out a shaky exhale as he guides your hand lower, helping you cup the heavy, throbbing base of his cock. your face burns, but you donāt stop. you want this. even if your heart is racing like itās trying to escape your chest.
under the thick cover of his sweater, you start to stroke him slowly, feeling the full, heavy length of his cock twitch against your palm. satoruās head tips back again, eyes closed as he bites down on his lip to stay quiet.
he shifts lower in his seat, hips tilting toward you. with one hand, he unbuckles his belt and pops the button of his jeans open, then tugs the zipper down just enough.Ā
the moment your fingers wrap around him, skin to skin, satoruās whole body tenses. heās burning hot, velvet-smooth, and achingly hard. thick enough that your fingers donāt quite meet as you curl them around his shaft. you feel him throb in your grip, a bead of wetness already smearing against your palm.
youāve drawn him beforeāmultiple times, in secret, late at night when your mind wouldnāt stop thinking about him, you drawn him in his dorm room, in class. you knew the shape. the length. the way the head flared. but this⦠this is completely different.
he feels impossibly hot in your palm, almost feverish. the skin is silky-smooth and velvet-soft over steel-hard thickness. heās even bigger than you imagined when your pencil was moving across the page. your fingers donāt quite close all the way around him, and the weight of his heavy cock resting in your grip makes your thighs press together.
you feel the prominent vein running along the underside pulsing against your fingers as you stroke him slowly. every throb makes him twitch in your hand, jumping slightly like heās overly sensitive. the head is slick alreadyāsmooth, swollen, and leaking steadily. when your thumb brushes over it, you smear the warm, slippery pre-cum across the tip, and satoruās breath stutters hard.
āshitā¦ā he hisses quietly, head falling forward. āyou have no idea how long iāve wanted your hand on me like this.ā
every slow stroke makes him leak more, coating your fingers and making the glide smoother and wetter. you keep stroking him under the sweater, a little bolder now. your fingers slide up and down his thick length, twisting slightly around the head on every upstroke just the way he seems to like. the slick sound of your hand moving over his pre-cum-coated cock is muffled by the sweater and the loud movie, but it still feels dangerously loud to you.
satoruās breathing is ragged against your ear. every time you squeeze a little tighter or brush your thumb across the sensitive underside of his head, his cock twitches hard in your grip and he lets out a choked sound.
all the while, your mind is spiraling. you canāt stop imagining how this dick would feel inside you. you picture it stretching you open, that heavy, blunt head pushing past your entrance, forcing you to take every inch while he whispers filthy things against your neck.Ā
you imagine the way heād throb deep inside you, the drag of those veins against your walls, the way heād bottom out and grind against that spot that makes your back arch. youād probably cry. youād probably beg.Ā
your mind is spiraling out of control.
you canāt stop imagining dropping your head into his lap right here, right now. you want to take him into your mouth so badly, to taste him and feel that thick cock sliding over your tongue as you sink down until he hits the back of your throat. you want him to grip your hair and push deeper, fucking your throat while he tries desperately not to moan loud enough for the whole theater to hear.
the fantasy makes you clench around nothing. your hand moves a little faster, slicker, tighter.
āfuck, just like thatāā he groans under his breath, barely keeping his voice down. āyouāre gonna make me cum if you keepāahāsqueezing me like thatā¦ā
heās panting now, body tense and trembling as you work him closer and closer under the cover of his sweater. it doesnāt take long. a few more firm strokes and then his teeth sink hard into his bottom lip, muffling the groan that tries to escape.
āfuckāiāmāā
thick, hot ropes of cum spill over your fingers, pulse after pulse, messy and endless, flooding your palm and dripping down between your fingers. satoruās cock twitches in your grip with every spurt, leaking more and more hot cum and quickly soaking into the front of his boxers until the fabric is warm and drenched.
when it finally starts to slow, your hand is dripping with his cum. some of it has even leaked down onto his balls and the waistband of his boxers, making everything under the sweater a complete mess.
āā¦shit. look what you did to me.ā a soft, dazed chuckle escapes him. āmade such a fucking mess.ā
satoru slumps in his seat for a moment, still catching his breath, his cock softening but still twitching. he lets your fingers run over his softening cockāslow, gentle strokes along the slick, sensitive length. even soft, he feels heavy and warm in your hand, the skin slippery with his own release.
then he turns his head, lips brushing your ear again. ālet me return the favor.ā and then he catches your wrist and brings your cum-covered hand to his mouth. his lips part, and he slowly sucks your fingers in, tongue gliding over them as he licks his own release off your skin. eyes on you as he watches your reaction.
the theater suddenly feels ten degrees hotter.
when he pulls back, a string of saliva and cum connects his bottom lip to your fingertip for a second before it breaks. he glances down at his own messy hands, the evidence of what you did to him still dripping slowly over his fingers.
āyou on birth control?ā he asks.
you shake your head, cheeks burning. ānoā¦ā
āokay,ā he says, clearly running through his options. ābathroom?ā
you freeze not sure what he suggests for a second. satoru leans in closer and presses a soft kiss just below your ear, his breath warm against your skin.
ālet me take care of you. i can still make you cum on my tongue.ā
your brain goes blank. before you can even spiral further, before you can decide between dying of shame or dragging him out of the theater yourself, the credits start rolling across the screen and the lights begin to slowly brighten.
before you can spiral into a full panic attack or seriously consider dragging satoru out by the collar, the credits start rolling and the theater lights begin to slowly brighten like a cruel spotlight on your sins.
āfuck,ā satoru mutters beside you, quickly stuffing himself back together. āthe movieās over already?ā
oh my god.
you just jerked off your best friend in the middle of a double date. in a movie theater. while suguru and rio were sitting two seats away. what would your grandma think of you? you are going straight to hell. thereās no coming back from this. theyāre probably already reserving your seat next to the guy who invented pineapple on pizza.
suguru stands up on the other side of the aisle and looks over at you with a casual smile. āgreat movie, right?ā
you donāt remember a single second of it.
āyeah! super⦠space-y.ā youāre on your feet before your brain even gives the order, clutching your bag to your chest. āitās really hot in here, right? iām gonna head out firstāā
suguruās hand gently catches your wrist. āhey, you good?ā
ātotally! one hundred percent. never better.ā you nod way too many times, smiling so wide it hurts.
he glances down at your handāthe one still glistening with the evidence of your crimeāand his brow furrows slightly.
āyouāre⦠sweating?ā
your soul leaves your body.
āthe movie was really unnerving,ā you ramble, the words tumbling out in pure panic. āvery tense. lot of, um, stakes.ā
suguru blinks. the movie was really not that unnerving. but before he can point that out, you pull your wrist free and continue your desperate escape, squeezing past the last few people in the row like a criminal fleeing the scene.
︵︵︵ ๠┠๠︵︵︵
youāre pacing a small circle outside the theater entrance, arms wrapped around yourself and your brain is going about a thousand miles an hour. your hands are still sticky. gross. warm. you can literally feel satoruās cum drying between your fingers and itās making you lose your mind even faster.
okay. okay okay okay. what the fuck was that. what just happened in there.
when did agreeing to this stupid double date turn into fighting over the popcorn tub only for satoruās thick hard cock to suddenly be right there pressing against your fingers and then he was guiding your hand around him and you were actually jerking him off in the middle of the theater and he came so much all over your fingers and then he licked his own cum off your skin like it was the most normal thing in the world andā
this was supposed to be a double date.
a normal, safe, four-person group thing. you, suguru, satoru, and whoever the girl was he was supposed to bring. instead you ended up jerking your best friend off in the dark while your other friends sat two seats away completely clueless.Ā
youāre a horrible person.Ā
youāre a menace.Ā
youāre never showing your face in public again.
your face feels like itās on fire. your thighs keep pressing together because youāre still stupidly wet from everything that happened and that only makes you spiral harder.
what is happening with satoru.
why did he want to sit right next to you. why is he always orbiting you like this and making your life ten times more complicated than it needs to be. didnāt he bring a girl he was supposedly into? then why the hell did he spend the entire movie glued to your side like he couldnāt breathe without touching you. why did he sound so desperate when he whispered please like that. why did he look at you with those stupid pretty eyes right after he came all over your hand like he was two seconds away from dragging you into the nearest bathroom and dropping to his knees to return the favor right there on the dirty floor.
youāre so fucked. youāre actually so fucked.
āhey.ā
you jump so hard you nearly drop your bag. satoru is right beside you, hands shoved deep in his pockets, hair slightly messy from the wind.
āwhat are you doing out here, itās freezing.ā without waiting for an answer heās already tugging his black sweater off over his head and holding it out to you.
āi donāt need it,ā you say.
āyouāre literally shivering.ā
āiām fine.ā
ātake the sweater.ā he doesnāt even argue. he steps closer and drapes it over your shoulders himself. itās still warm from his body and it smells like himāclean, a little sweet, dangerously comforting. you hate how much you notice.
you clear your throat, trying to pull yourself together. āwhereās suguru? and rio?ā
satoru shrugs, sliding his hands back into his pockets. āthey left.ā
āleft? like⦠together?ā
āyeah. i think they like each other.ā he glances at you sideways, a small smile tugging at his lips. ālooks like we both got ditched by our dates. tragic.ā
āoh,ā you mumble. then, because you feel like you have to, āiām sorry about your date.ā
āwhat date.ā
ārio? the girl you brought?ā
āi didnāt even know her last name,ā he says with zero shame. āmet her at the vending machine outside the athletic building a few days ago, asked if she wanted to come. that was the whole thing.ā
you stare at him. āsatoru.ā
āwhat?ā
āyou brought a literal stranger to a double date and now she left with suguru.ā
he rocks back on his heels, grinning like none of this bothers him in the slightest. āi mean, good for them. sounds like theyāre having a much better night than i wasāsitting there for two hours trying not to lose my mind next to the girl i actually like.ā
you blink. āā¦the girl you like?ā
satoru rubs the back of his neck, suddenly looking a little shy for once.Ā
āyeah,ā he says, quieter this time. āi like you. like⦠a lot. have for a while now.ā he lets out a soft laugh. āif you didnāt already figure it out from the whole ācoming in two seconds the second you touched meā thing⦠well. now you know.ā
he steps closer, those bright blue eyes locked on yours. your heart races.
āand i think you like me too,ā he adds, voice softer now.
you clutch the front of his sweater, mind still reeling.
āsatoruā¦ā
he tilts his head and watches you carefully. āi really want to kiss you right now,ā he says, ābut weāre standing in a shady movie theater parking lot and two people over there are staring at us. plus you made me cum before i even kissed you, which feels kinda backwards and ungentlemanly⦠so instead, iām gonna ask you something.ā
your heart races so hard you can barely breathe.
āwhat?ā you whisper.
satoru smiles.
āwill you go out on a real date with me? a proper one. just us. no strangers or best friends two seats over, and definitely with the right order of events this time.ā his grin turns wicked. ātalking⦠then kissing⦠then making you cum.ā
āoh my god, satoru, stop,ā you groan, covering your burning face with both hands. his words shoot straight between your legs and you hate how much you like it.
he laughsāthat bright, carefree sound youāve always been weak forāand gently pulls your hands down from your face.
ācanāt help it. you do this to me.ā his thumbs moves softly over your knuckles. ābut iām serious. let me do this right. one date. just you and me. no running away this time.āĀ
he leans in closer, voice dropping into that low, dangerous tone again.
āand then⦠i can finally kiss you. taste you. make you feel as good as you made me feel in that theater.ā
you bite your lip. āā¦okay,ā you say softly, a shy smile breaking through. āyes. iāll go on a proper date with you.ā
satoruās whole face lights up. he steps closer, cups the side of your face with one warm hand, and presses a soft kiss to the corner of your mouth. then he tilts his head and whispers right against your ear, āgood. because once i finally get you alone, iām gonna bury my face between your thighs and eat that pretty pussy until youāre shaking and crying my name. gonna make up for coming so fast earlier⦠and then fuck you slow and deep like iāve been fantasizing about for way too long.ā
you shiver, a tiny helpless sound slipping out. he pulls back with a satisfied smirk.
āalright,ā he says, pulling out his phone like he didnāt just melt your brain. āiām calling us an uber. our original driver apparently left with my fake date.ā
he winks at you, tapping on his screen, while you stand there, face burning and legs barely working, on ther verge of passing out right here on the sidewalk like a victorian maiden who saw an ankle.
āćauthorās notes
well⦠that escalated quickly lmaooo. i didnāt initially plan to write smut with this one but oh well, satoru wants what he wants or something like that. anywayyyy thank you so much for reading!! this story is a mess but iām having way too much fun writing it. see you in the next chapter š„°š„°
First, he slowly passes you the smoke, then closes the distance with a kiss, forcing you to hold the smoke in your mouth for a moment. When he moves away, you can finally exhale, but since you're inexperienced, you cough and choke a little, earning a laugh from the blond. Then he kisses you again as a reward, simply for being pretty.

The only place maids were meant to have in a prince's bed chamber was cleaning it.
Certainly not warming the silk sheets or having your legs spread and dangling off the edge. Especially not with said prince's cock buried balls-deep in your cunt.
"Y-your Highness," you gasped, clawing at the sheets, too cautious to scratch at his bare shoulder blades the way you truly craved.
Something like that should be saved for someone on equal standing.
Not a servant who just happened to temporarily suit his tastes.
"Satoru, sweetheart," he corrected you, cocking his head to the side as he plunged himself deeper, the pleasure coaxing your body limp beneath him. Your feelings for him didn't help. Heart ready to burst and chest straining to hold in the heft of your crush on the pretty prince you lived to serve.
"S-Satoru," you anxiously echoed, thighs tensing and trembling as you felt the knots in your stomach tighten the closer you came to unravelling - and the more unsure you grew of what would happen once the prince was finished with you.
You wanted to tell him you had no access to any of the herbal teas that would prevent you from conceiving, but every time you opened your mouth to speak, he practically fucked all the air back out of you. Hips slamming into your skin in fast thrusts, twisting your words into broken gasps.
"You look far better out of that uniform," he hummed, one of his soft palms tracing up past your exposed stomach to squeeze one of your breasts, smirking as he dragged a thumb over it just to make the rest of you shudder. "Maybe I should order you a shorter one."
"That would be indecent," you murmured, face flushing as you glanced over to the torn remains of the one you'd been wearing before he pinned you down and pried it off. The uniforms you'd been receiving lately all seemed to be...shrinking, but what were you supposed to do?
His word was final.
"I rather like you indecent," he teased, leaning in to wrap his mouth around a nipple, sucking softly as you bit back a keening moan. Scrunching your eyes shut as you toes curled, barely holding back your own climax as his teeth grazed over the sensitive bud, already peaked and swollen from how much he'd played with them before he even began fucking you.
"Y-you're being mean," you whined, stuttering over your words while your back arched off the bed, his swollen tip grinding deep into you and goading him into chuckling at your weak complaint.
"What? Would you like to leave?" He offered, just to make you say no, shaking your head and pouting as his lips curled into a cruel smirk.
"No," you softly said, unable to clear the fuzz from your head when he was making you feel so goddamn good.
"Maybe I should keep you stuffed," he hummed as he shifted from one nipple to the next, hips shifting to make you feel the full weight of him inside of you. "Would a baby keep you here?"
Your cheeks burned with embarrassment, your mouth falling open as you stammered for something sensible, "It would be a bastard."
The kind of child the court would look down on. Sneer at.
Maybe even poisoned or harmed if your baby had the misfortune to be born a boy - killed to ensure he never had a chance to sit on the throne.
He was supposed to be with a princess, or a noble lady.
You couldn't even dream to be a concubine.
"Says who?" He laughed, a dangerous glint in his eyes as he started fucking you faster, more deliberately, dragging his cock in and out like he was daydreaming about what a baby with you might look like.
"Everyone," you reminded him, briefly considering retreating, but before you could properly think it through, his hands found your hips, lifting them up at the same moment he bottomed back in, and you promptly forgot what made it such a bad idea.
"Don't worry, angel," he grinned, brilliant blue eyes narrowing as he shifted a palm to press directly down on your stomach. "You'll have my heir."
