i’ve followed astro since their debut , they were my first kpop group. i watched their show and instantly fell in love with moonbin and rocky. their joy for dancing and performing was everything to me , and i can’t describe the joy it gave me to rewatch clips of them. smiling , laughing , eating , dancing , all of it , i can vividly remember watching them for hours and feeling like i was one of their friends. i haven’t been following astro or kpop in general because personal life stuff got in the way , but recently i came back to check on my stars because i will always love them. it hurt to find out that rocky left astro , but i was happy he was going his own way and blazing his own path like the star i KNOW he is. but finding out this? im gutted. we knew moonbin struggled , and i would always wish for his health and happiness from miles away because more than just their music , looks , skills , and performances , i loved HIM. he was a light and a star. he was our smiling puppy. he wasn’t just my bias , he felt like a personal and close friend. i loved him character , his charm , his kindness , his heart , and i loved his light. my only comfort is everytime i look up at the night sky , his light will continue to shine with the rest of the kpop stars who have faced this battle. they did not lose , they’re still with us. mental health of kpop stars NEEDS to be taken seriously. we said it when moonbin broke down on stage all those years ago , and now we’re saying it again. because this is unacceptable & too damn painful. my condolences to his family , his friends , to him for going through so much in silence for so long , and to every person who has felt alone. especially to every kpop artist , or artists in general , who work so hard but suffer so much deep down. i hope one day we can make things right , or at least better. for you , moonbin🌟
